One of my favorite local campgrounds. Lacks some shade so my favorite spot is site 27. Has a nice shade tree that gives you shade partially during the day. A nice large canopy over our tent and table helps to. One problem is the ground is VERY HARD and using tent stakes is useless. When did they stop taking reservations? I have always been able to call and reserve over the phone. Also the water is a reservoir so you are not allowed to come in contact with it. No wading, swimming, etc.
I am so glad you like it out there. I haven't actually tent camped just camped with my tiny trailer. About Reservations.. just keep in mind that policies on Reservations change all the time, hard to keep tract. I tell people call or do your research before going. I had rangers give me one info and website was different. So recommend calling them. Have fun and thanks 😊

A few years ago I was a Park Ranger and many of the visitors to the park would ask me for info on other parks when our Park had no spaces available. At the time I wasn't able to give them much info. So I decided to make a channel on camping parks so people can see that's there's so many wonderful other places to camp.🙂
