Will Wood in Just Dance would go so hard
Oh my god hell yes
Hmmm TF2 and will wood fan spotted

This is so true except “hold my hands, we’ll dance the the 12-step on my grave” from Vampire Reference deserved to be in there
That part is so good
I love vampire reference so much that line is so good
agreed
That part is so good, like the first time I heard it was a religious experience
FRRR
I like that we all agreed that's the best part of "against the kitchen floor"
no complaints, no arguments, just vibing and sobbing

Yesss it’s my favorite part
how could i/me/myself not be the “eating your prosthetic meat/meet your anesthetic criteria…” bit
Fr fr that part is the BEST, it's just so funky
it's so GOOD
YEAH
Exactly
YES
"the devil made me do it, but i also kind of wanted to" 2nd 2ight 2eer is still my favorite will wood line, i love it

The entire song is a bop
You are objectively correct

yeah cuz vampire culture is goated
we’re a hive mind
@@chasezlyvampire culture is great, but everyone always forgets about gfmbt. thats my favorite part from suburbia
"Say my name like a slur but i've been called worse!"
the way will wood writes bridges in songs is so fuckin captivating that i feel like my favourite parts of his songs are often the bridge 😭 he abuses the living hell out of chromatic walkdowns but lord its a beautiful sound
Memento Mori part is on point, but the “your life doesn’t matter so who cares if it was a waste” part should’ve been added lol
That part fr changes the whole meaning of the song
Honestly so true-!
ON GOD
YES
YES. It was the first Will Wood song I heard.
the best part of vamp culture is definitely the second "blood dont they want your blood-" its so groovy
I KNOW IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD IT'S SO GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH

its criminal how the bit for marsha thankk you for the dialectics EXACTLY faded off before “back in the days of lobotomies and shock therapy and mad scientists”
I was looking for this comment, that was an absolute crime 😭
I totally agree. This part literally gives me goosebumps
Okay but in ...well, better than the alternative I think the part where he starts belting "What's so wrong about what's wrong with me? I'm just trying to do what's right by you!" Is top tier
Based. Hits me like a truck every SINGLE time
I think one thing everyone can universally agree with is the best part of Against the Kitchen Floor
Personally, my fav part of front street is at the ending where he sings "on front street" in the background with the "last call for morals, better cover your drinks"
you're so right, I love that part!
honestly the entirety of front street slaps, it's so hard to choose
I LOVE THAT PARTT
@@wdymstupidmfisalreadytakenfound that song a few days ago from the video of him playing it on a keyboard and one of the keys were broke, I INSTANTLY fell in love with the song and listen to it on repeat everyday
For Laplace’s Angel, I love the bridge where it’s the “so if you wash your hands of where you’ve been until you flood the second floor-“ and so on, but the section you picked also slaps
"neatly fold your skeletons but still can't shut the closet door"
@@mega7500 yeah!!! I love that whole section/bridge, I just didn’t want to write the whole thing lol
@@Olivia-pj9wy lol
call me autistic but i think the spoken part of OKULTRA (holistic ballistics, mirror up to your mirror, ideas spread because people like them, i could go on) clears
Omg yes, that's my favourite part as well
I'm autistic, and I agree.
I am also autistic, and i agree. It sounds so angry :)
Incredibly hot take: I like the other two parts of Suburbia Overture better than Vampire Culture. They work to make an amazing coherent whole, but Love Me, Normally is an incredibly important final hit, and the first part establishes the mood incredibly well overall
REAL SO TRUE GRRRRRR
I think they’re all equally amazing. Definitely my favorite song Will Wood has put out, Suburbia Overture is just the best
No you're so right for this one
Hardcore agree! Whenever I have the desire to listen to Suburbia Overture, it's always for the first part.
yeah! My favourite part of Suburbia Overture is the first part (it's for the high note on suburbia)
The transition from Self- to -Ish gave me fucking *goosebumps* lol
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN🗣️🗣️
Cool, cool, except I think the best part of The First Step is the part that goes "take my anxiety and my sobriety, I'll kill two birds with one stooonerrrr" because omg it flows so well
"So if you see me, please, take my keys! I don't wanna be an organ donor!" It's all soooooooooo good!
Yess and the 'i bet that a bottle of brandy so bitter'd be Better than biting the bullet and bettering myself sorry if I slurrr '
For Song with five Names, my favorite part is actually with the piano slamming on "what is 'is'? what is 'what'? what is 'not'? WHATS UP PARTY PEOPLE!!" the energy is immaculate
Okay but personally, tomcat disposals with the "what's the moon made of, meet me there after I'm gone..-> "
honestly, my favorite part of i/me/myself are the lyrics after the piano solo: Eating your prosthetic meat/meet your anesthetic criteria Pathetic seeing you be copacetic/come acetic"
I’d say the best part of Half-Decade Hangover was like a second before where he screams “SOBER! But still so much hangs over”
I’d also say my favorite part of Falling Up is “oh is now really a good time for a new tattoo” it hits different.
Also I think the best part of Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll is the “newsfeeds, groupies, critics, analytics, and starry eyed stalked who demand a man in lipstick”
You’re so correct with these takes
you are so real for this absolutely
Yes
Shortly followed with "and a role model psycho. Put an echo in their chamber" that last bit just goes crazy.
SO TRUE ABOUT HANGOVER!!!!
I think the psychologist part at the end of "marsha thankk you for the dialectics" while not technically a "song" is honestly the best part of the song
I listen to that when I'm in between therapy appointments lol
The Song with Five Names holds the absolute most dearest place in my heart because it was the very first Will Wood song I ever found
It's not an official release of Ferryman, but when I saw Will in concert, James was one of his opening acts. During the peak chorus, they were both stomping on stage, and absolutely *growled* the lyrics "Well I hope you like champagne with cyanide." It was great! Made me fall in love with the song.
Personally I feel like all of 2econd 2ight 2eer is the best part of the song. The entire song makes me just want to bang my head! It also contains my favorite WW quote ("The devil made me do it, but I also kinda wanted to") but at the same time how he say "hallucinations and lucid dreams" is just 😔👌
Edit: lately I've been listening to BBW WAYYY too much (new favorite will song) and the way his voice flourishes when he says "Well, he was wearing stolen rubber shoes and wrapped a poison ivy noose" is one of my favorite parts in a song period! I love his vocal patterns so much and as a fan of swing music and indie music, he feel he's got this flair that just makes me want to 😵❤/pos
Edit Edit: The song with five names my favorite now. l love it when he say "אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה" (totally didn't copy that from Google 👀) and the entire part where he spirals into "give me that old time religion), my new second is Cotard's Solution, which the entire song is a banger (and apparently will's ACTUAL least favorite to play) and surprisingly third goes to Outliers and Hyppocrites! For it being on the normal album, a lot of people (including me at first) apparently skipped over it! I accidentally listened to it the other day and realised it's a banger! (Also chemical overreaction is so freaking good lol)
i was honestly surprised the video didnt have the entire will wood song list

any will wood fan collectively agrees that "against the kitchen floor" and "tomcat disposables" both are extremely correct in this video
Entirely subjective, but in my opinion:
0:00 w
0:16 MASSIVE W
0:42 W, it's hard to pick a single best part of this song
1:02 small w, though I'd have gone with the "what's so wrong about what's wrong with me" chorus
1:14 W
1:37 L I'd have gone with the ending, after the Chuang Tzu speech
1:54 W but I'd extend it longer
2:04 W
2:30 W
2:45 W
2:58 W but I'd extend to the emotional climax
3:16 big W
3:38 big W
3:54 MASSIVE W
4:23 W
4:45 w but extend (again lol)
5:03 L, definitely the "I'm afraid that you'll change your mind" up to "I'm afraid I'll come on too strong" part
5:19 w
5:37 big W
5:58 W, again hard to pick a best part
6:16 MASSIVE W I'm SOBBING
6:43 W
6:56 Big W although honestly I think it should extend to the very end of the song
7:07 w
7:26 W but extend again
8:00 big W
8:22 MASSIVE W
8:38 w although I'm a sucker for the filth in his voice when he says "snidely twist your mustache"
8:57 W underrated song that k you for including
9:14 Huge W
9:37 L, "The constellations form infinite paisleys in the sky" part better
9:53 W, lots of good parts in this song but the visceral opening hits hard
10:20 w
10:35 w, kinda prefer "Ibetthatabottleofbrandysobitter'dbebetterthanbitingthebulletandbetteringmyself"
10:48 L, I'm sorry but the "wretch and pule" ending is an all time will wood moment
11:05 w
11:17 big W
11:34 W, either this or "last call for morals" ending
11:57 Huge W
12:08 Huge W
12:19 Huge W (three in a row lol)
12:41 MASSIVE W EASILY
13:14 W
13:27 MASSIVE W for that transition
13:39 w
13:56 MASSIVE W YES
14:17 Huge W, same as Thermodynamic Lawyer
14:39 w
14:46 hard to pick between this or the "bottle well or barrel" build up
15:02 small w, I'd have gone with the final chorus
outliers and hyppocrates is fine, in my opinion
BlackBoxWarriors is... well, bad (worst part of the song for me)
The best part of Suburbia Overture is the last one, the "Do you know the difference [...]"
for dr sunshine i would have definitely gone with the “i’ll trade in vision for a practiced intuition” and the chorus that follows. the instrumental break is just so perfect
In the first step i kind of perfer the "im going down then im taking you with me" part or the instrumental part in the middle
@@mio7283 yes
I’ve only been listening for 3 months and this is exactly how I think about most of these songs
This is the best way to introduce someone to Will Wood
I thought the "what's so wrong about what's wrong me?" part would be the best part of "...well, better than the alternative"
Sorry but the best part of the first one is “A BLOODY KNIFE TO SPLIT YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE, wind your every motor function, coital machinations of the dead”
Agree on most, but personally I would’ve picked the huge spatial wind up followed by the over the top “THIS ISSSSS NOT ENOUGHHHHHH” with the cool synths for hand me my shovel
The best part of 'Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll' for me is "I hate to be that guy but I'm not that guy anymore and I made gOD dAmn SURE he's dead. And I would dance on his grave but the music that I play seems to say tAke ME instead." Saddest sh!t I ever heard.
i like whenever will does *that* thing with his voice.
aka that moment when the insanity kicks into the song.
which is,,, unfortunately only in a few of these clips. oops?
Uhh… time stamp maybe please?
What thing
@@christianrogers8297 uhhhh best ones i can give is 2:40 and 4:51 i think.. i don't know, im not great with timestamps ;")
@@Ariste_ I guess a better way to describe it is when he strains his voice,, or something
@@shadowsoftheinfinite Oh now I see. Yeah those are amazing makes me wanna close my eyes and just FEEL the song.
Omg hand me my shovel HAS to be "bottle well or barrel, all are empty, dug or drink or poured it out" that whole section is amazing
On Suburbia Overture, the "SUBURBIAAAAAAAA-AHAHAAAAAAH!!!! WHERE YOU BELOOOOOOO~OOONG!!!! THE LIGHTS ARE OOOO~OOOON!!!!! BUT NO ONE'S HOME~ [[So welcome home...]]" part is also one of the best parts of the song.
And in Laplace's Angel, the "LAH-LAH-LAH!!! LA-LA-LA-LA-LAH!!!" part is the best part.
The transition on Self-Ish is awesome!!!
For Song With Five Names, the digging dirt part is the best.
For Laplace’s Angel, I’d personally choose
“So if you wash your hands of where you've been until you flood the second floor
Neatly fold your skeletons but still can't shut the closet door
The only ones in need of love are those who don't receive enough
So evil ones should get a little more”
It just scratches my brain in such a nice way
Yesss my favorite too
Marsha was done dirty. Cut off Right before the shock therapy part which is the best part!!!
Also the lyrics in becoming the last names “so now we’re kissing before brushing, smile with our whole faces, if you want a hyphen last name I guess I don’t mind the cadence” gets me every time 😭 even when I was writing it!!!!
Also all of cotards solution is a banger but the part right before the final chorus where it does the cool like in and out thing (idk how to describe it) is so cool!!! Also the end of it with the screams.
Also with Laplaces angel “it doesn’t take a killer to murder. It only takes a reason to kill” part is great too.
Well better than the alternative “everybody knows that, nobody knows that everybody’s all up in my motherf**king business” to the end is 🤌
Bones should be that last bridge and beyond.
All opinions are valid but we can all agree on against the kitchen floor no problem 😂
I agree with Marsha, cut right before the best part 😭

@@PoetNevermoreTHAT PART IS SO GOD
for chemical overreaction i really like the end part where it goes “wretch and pule this panoramic stretched out view is fat with panic”
fun fact that bit is the exact same chord progression as the chorus for bones
@@LizordSword thats one of the reasons i love it! its great
Nice to see ferryman appreciation
I get goosebumps whenever i listen to Willard! because it just describes me down to the core, being pushed around, neglected, hated, abused and treated like something non human to the point where you dont feel human and just the path to accepting the fact that no, i will never be “human” in the way that neurotypical people are. The song just makes all my pent up anger, past trauma, neurodivergency and therianthrophy seem understood in a way? The song is such a comfort to me and makes me feel at home and that its okay to be “animalistic” and “agressive” when i need it. Its like the song helps me be myself. Thank you will wood
imo the best part of mr capgras encounters a secondhand vanity is the part at the end where it brings back the chorus of hand me my shovel i’m going in in the background. absolute banger
but consider: the part of dr sunshine is dead where hes screaming "i will be my sunshine, i will be my moon at night"
I'm 2econd 2ight 2eer the line "vice versa Vice versus virtue" goes hard
the main characte's best part is definetly the pre chorus that starts with judge me by what my cover shows, and the song with five names' is gimme that old time religion section
i love when somebody needs you.. i can play it on ukulele and its so special!! i really want to sing it as a solo in my school choir . wish me luck
Imagine a 4 hours video called “ best will wood songs “ and it’s all of his discography lmao
( expect for destroy to enjoy )
Wdym destroy to enjoy is great
@@FriHo245 ur right I was spitting bullshit
Here go my complains:
In Suburbia Overture, the best part is defineteley the return to Will's normal voice in "To proove you've got blood"
...Well, better than the alternatives is the key change. Undisputed
When somebody needs you is the chord descent next to the part where it's cut off
The bridge in Vampire Reference is more deserved than the knocking
Willard's best part is the whole final chorus. It uses my favorite Will Wood trope (descending chords), and it pays homage to the beggining of the song and the album.
Ferryman is kinda cheaty, as it's not a Will song, and you chose his specific verse
Dr. Sunshine is the ending. The callback to Cotard's solution is great.
The fact the albums aren't in order is making me irrationally angry
The Marsha one cut right before the best part
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THE PIANO PART AT I ME MYSELF ITS SO GOOD ISTG
Me personally I think that the best part of Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In! is the part where it goes "My name was soiled by a last call spill with a backwash swill and the blackout killed me Sober on impact from a fall from grace", along with the whole "take the road on higher ground" part
underrated opinion! the start of marsha thankk you for the dialectics, but i need you to leave is so underrated, and is such a banger, like just that part of instrumental is so good its sad it doesn't play again in the song

😭😭 I NEED A FULL SONG OUT OF THAT PART OF AGAINST THE KITCHEN FLOOR
I appreciate the inclusion of Ferryman
personally, my absoloute favorite part of mr. capgras is when he says "eulogy or biography" and "so my god whats wrong with me" that entire part gives me goosebumps everytime
i wish you kept going a little bit longer in Marsha (etc.) bc i sing my damn heart out on “back in the days of laBOtoMY and SHOCK THERAPY AND MAD SCIENTISTS”
