Hopefully, they taking security a bit more seriously than QNAP. I believe QNAP still can't recover from reputation damage from ransomware attacks on the NAS devices. I have some Ugreen chargers and M.2 enclosures everything is built very well and for a good price. I wish them all the best with the new product line.
I just posted this in the kickstarter comments, but you may be a bit quicker to respond. 1) What filetypes are currently supported for photo and video playback? Can it handle .mov/quicktime, mp4/h264, or fingerscrossed braw? How about the standard raw photo files? 2) Do you know if the search function is able to read metadata added from sources other than the auto ai tagging? For example keywords that were added in lightroom? Thanks for the review, you're the first one I've seen reviewing the system from a photographer's pov so it was nice seeing what it could do from that perspective

I never got into a QNAP device for those same reasons. I heard bad things about their stuff from way back in 2012.

Will our files be safe as it will be stored on Ugreen servers? Also doesnt it has iphone software? You just mentioned about Android app.
The files are stored locally on the NAS, not on their servers.
What about backing up the data on your NAS? Synology has hyper backup for that.
They have an app that allows you to set up specific folders that you want to sync up automatically.
