I've been using both for years- love them! I like to encap with DS2 and put some Encap-Hydrox in a trigger sprayer to hit the coffee spots, etc. that the DS2 doesn't remove.

I have used a bunch that simply smell like "fabreeze style" smells or heavy chem smells ... over powering.. I don't love heavy smells and nor do the clients I have worked with! so just wondering what the smell is like? thinking of a purchase
We use both products. I am curious though...can you not boost DS2 w/ peroxide? Currently my process when dealing with organic stains such as coffee or tea in a commercial setting is to mix up 1 gal of Hydrox and pre spot. I go around and hit all of the organic spots that I see and then follow up with My Cimex or Mytee ECO and clean with DS2. Thoughts on this? Would you suggest a better way to do this? I generally do not get into commercial settings where the carpet is littered with coffee stains, if I did then I would use Hydrox as a stand alone cleaner.
Those are a couple of excellent questions... First question: Do not spike Encap-Clean DS2 with hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide will negatively affect a normal encapsulation polymer. That's why Encap-HydrOx is formulated with a unique and specialized polymer that HP stable. Second question: Yes your approach will work fine - to use Encap-HydrOx as a spotter to treat coffee stains, and then clean like normal using Encap-CLean DS2. Going over the entire carpet with Encap-CLean DS2 following spotting with HydrOx is not going to present any issues. Or you could just do the whole job with Encap-HydrOx. Either option is fine. Hi, I'm curious about your products. Quick question. I'm starting a business and I own one orbiter. What chemicals do you recommend to start with with the only equipment I have? HydrOx? Ds2? And others?
If you'd like to focus on just one product for everything - go with Encap-Clean DS2. Encap-HydrOx is also popular for cleaners who do a mix of residential. Encap-Punch is also popular for bonnet cleaning applications since you mentioned using an orbital. All 3 are stellar encap products and would be great choices. But, Encap-Clean DS2 is our most one-trick-pony that'll cover the gamut for you.
@@RickGelinas Agreed. I like the Hydrox for pet urine and poop stains, but otherwise DS2 works on pretty much everything else. Spraying it down, working it in a bit with an orbiter or crb and letting it dwell 10 minutes, makes cleaning much easier and produces a high quality job. In my experience.

Can you agitate those with vapor steam then follow up with hot water extraction??
Encap-HydrOx or with Encap-Punch could be used with hot water extraction. Encap-Clean DS2 is foamier (for shampoo applications) so we don't typically recommend it for HWE.
Can I put both products in separate sprayers and pre spray all carpet with both ?
Use one or the other. Encap-HydrOx doesn't play well with other products due to its HIGH concentration of hydrogen peroxide and its extremely acidic formula.
Can you do a two day cleaning? So ds2 first then hit those odd spots after post vacuuming with the hydrox and clean again?
You could do that. But I think I would just do a spot cleaning with HydrOx up front, and then clean the entire carpet with Encap-Clean DS2. That way it can all be done in one shot.

What would you recommend using for residential carpet with feline urine stains?
A great product for urine spots is Odorcide Ox-Erase. It's a spot remover and odor counteractant. excellent-supply.com/products/odorcide-ox-erase-stain-odor-remover-gallon
So I can spot treat with the odorcide and then pre spray over it with ds2 or the other one? It seems like ds2 is not good for pre spray....I use HWE
How long can the product be stored once mixed with water?
With ALL biodegradable cleaning products, once they're diluted down from concentrate, the detergent will begin to break down. So it is a good rule of thumb to use the product the same day you mix it. And if you do need to store a mixed product, store it in a sealed container, which will buy you up to a few days of "mixed" shelf life.
Can the ds2 be boosted with the hydrox?
Not recommended. Hydrogen peroxide (at a level that's effective) will obliterate a traditional encap polymer - killing its ability to crystallize and encapsulate soil. That's why we developed Encap-HydrOx. Encap-HydrOx is formulated with a unique encap polymer that can handle the POTENT peroxide environment that's in Encap-HydrOx.
Which is best for a serious milk spill car carpet???
Used Encap-HydrOx aggressively. Saturate with a strong mixture and extract thoroughly. Then apply Bioesque to eliminate microbial any remaining content.
