EDIT: It turns out that the mouse was faulty, and Razer will replace it as part of the warranty! Waiting for the new unit to arrive. For the record I’ve contacted Razer to ask whether the scroll wheel sound falls under warranty. Waiting for the reply and will update you all as soon as I get an answer.

Oh, I wish they can a AA battery version. I dont really care about the weight, as I'm not competing like a pro when I play games. I just want a gaming mice that would last months without recharging.
Think the scroll wheel sound is a common issue with the RVU, I have it on my regular RVU but the scroll wheel works just fine even with the odd sound. Think some Krytox 205g might fix the sound issue.
I just bought a slightly used one because it just looks so sexy. And now I'm curious about the specs. Using a wired mouse now Razer Mamba Elite), wondering how much of a difference there is between wired and wireless.
I would say it’s unnoticeable at this point. Lack of cable is a great trade off for maybe a slightly (if any) worse performance (latency and such). In short - you won’t notice a thing.
I just got my mercury viper ultimate and I don't have any of those issues. I don't have any wobble in my right and left click and my scroll wheel is almost silent. You might have gotten a faulty one.
It seems that it's inconsistent, for me I don't have any wobble in the buttons as well. However I hate the scroll wheel, it's noisy and very rough, not smooth at all.
Great review how i wish i watch your video before buying one lol. If you don't like cheap feel don't buy this but if you don't care & want just for looks & performance then go buy it since the more you use it the more you'll get use to it.
I have the Razer Mini and the main buttons side wobble kills it for an other wise best mouse for 40 USD. It's a shame that the Viper Ultimate has this as well. I wonder if the Deathadder V2 Pro which has the main buttons double as outer shell has this issue as well?
You mean after the new patch? I’ve finished it shortly after launch and I absolutely loved it even though it was a bit buggy. Nothing game breaking for me though.
Hi, do you still have woobble and squeaky m1/m2 button problems? Some users says its the v2 edition of viper ultimate(cyberpunk edition and other colors -not black-) and v2 versions don't have this problems, is it true? And final question does this product have post travel?
Never had the black one so cant say for sure. It has full rgb but only on the Snake logo and charging dock so very minimalistic but also very nice esp the dock looks cool.

Bad news - the new unit has the same issue with the scroll wheel being really loud. :( I''ll post an update video soon.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve returned the mouse to Razer for them to inspect it. Waiting for decision whether it was faulty.

The Mercury edition gives it a run for its money. Those two are the best looking viper ultimates

Hello. Yes wobble is here but not squeaking. And yes the buttons do have some post travel to them. Not much but it’s there.

I had mine warranty replaced. But the scroll issue was still there - I think it’s just poor materials used for it and you can’t get it to go away
