One of the greatest acapella musical achievements in history. Nay, one of the greatest musical achievements in history. God has given this group, the singers, the arranger, the sound team, a level of talent that enriches all of us.
I am going to go egg head for a moment. I have rarely heard arranging like this. With Voctave, the layering of chord structures is insane. Kudos to Jamey for putting out some of the best vocal arrangements I have ever heard. The ensemble blending is some of the best you will ever hear, period. Voctave could give masterclasses in ensemble intonation and in how to attack and release notes together, which is one of the most difficult things to do in any musical context. A major thing that makes a group successful and long-lasting is the suppression of individual ego. I am taken aback by how selfless this group of singers is toward each other. It would be easy for each of these very experienced performers to ruin the group dynamic by pushing their own individual talent above the others. There is no hint of this in any of the recordings and videos I have heard. Voctave make ensemble singing look easy which means that they are top notch professionals because there is nothing easy about what these people are doing. Thank you for continuing to put out top notch performances each and every time. You all are why people should go into music.

Jason - Totally agree with you. I couldn't have said it better. Voctave has raised the bar on these things to stratospheric levels - with no peers around them..
I too have been a fan for many years, BUT don’t forget the guys/gals may record different voices; then the fun begins where the recording engineers with the help of the choir master/singers too put the final rendition for the listener!

They are absolutely masters of their craft. I’ve listened to many great voices but Voctave really has a way of taking it to another level.

Every single song you guys perform is always outstanding. The words and the harmonizing of this particular song, I could not hold back the tears. After losing my mother in 2012, now my father and raising my daughter as a single parent, there are definitely days where I feel alone, but have to push through. I have witnessed the power of the human will to live as a cancer survivor and those I have supported. Whether someone is fighting through illness, addiction, divorce, grief of any kind, broken promises and relationships or struggles inflicted by Covid...there is but one emotion even more powerful than love. Hope...
At my lowest, I turned to our almighty God and he gave me back my hope again. So I am drawn to music that magnifies this emotion within me. I receive the reminder that as different as we may feel from each other at times, we ARE NOT alone. We just have to reach back to that one person whose offering us the perseverance we need to move forward in this life. ...And as we do, as we are able and stronger...that we offer that same hope to someone coming behind us who does yet not see the beauty from their ashes.
Kurt and Voctave family, thank you so much for this incredible collaboration and I curtsy to each and every person who sang, wrote, arranged, produced, edited and Lord knows, the engineer who mixed this wonder. This inspires hope in me, and I know in others as well during this trying time. I just can’t tell you how it touched me deep. Sorry for the cheese, but it’s 100% real cheese. And I heard someone say once “cheese is the worst, unless it works then nothing else will do.”

The words and your beautiful rendition moved my heart, brought me to tears, and comforted my fragile soul, helping me be mindful of my circle of friends who’ve said, “you are not alone.” Thank you Voctave for helping me along my journey. As a gay couple for 32 years, we endured so much together, particularly early on when our love was so taboo. Keep inspiring us all through song!!
I've recorded over 100 songs and was on a label and toured for years. I had a great team of musicians backing me, along with some background singers. We never ever sounded 1/10th this good. I'm giving back my awards. Great job guys.

I'm not the slightest bit depressed or suicidal, but I've lost some loved ones to suicide.
As I was listening to this, the thought struck me that if I ever felt like this world wasn't worth it anymore, I'd come and listen to this, and I'd feel hopeful again.
What an absolute gift Voctave is. Kicking back and listening to a new piece of Voctave magic on loop is one of life's great pleasures for me.
