    Not mentioned in the video but possibly the most dangerous, especially where evergreen trees are present, are tree wells. People die when skiing alone, or too far behind or in front of their partner, when they fall head first into a tree well. I wish he'd said something about that.

      @Chris11249 Před rokem +1

      That's true. I think he forgot to mention it because the skiing he just did for the video weren't evergreen/pine trees. Treewells won't really happen if there's no leaves on the tree!

    The most peaceful place to ski.
    Very Zen like.
    But stay focused.

    Glen Plake is the best! He's made skiing so much more easier, fun and safe.
    And yet, they made him go through PSIA bs to get certified when his way is a lot better.

    Glen Plake is one of the world's best freestyle skiers and makes this look easy. It really helps if you know the run well, there is little margin for error and trees are totally unforgiving!

      711honved just Like Kelly Slater, Travis Pastrana, Tony Hawk & Shaun White. You can always make arguments who, when, where, why & how, someone else is better. For me, Plake IS and WILL ALWAYS BE: THE GREATEST. The man survived an avalanche for fuck sake!

    Glen Plake 😁! Was really worried at the beginning that he wasn’t going to laugh. Thank god that wasn’t true!

    Was bird's nesting years ago with a guy who for some reason was spending his honeymoon skiing. He hit a hump, got launched with his skies apart and vertical. Yep he slammed into a tree like that legs either side and wedding tackle crushed against the trunk. His skies stuck vertically in the snow so he was jammed part way up the tree trunk yelling in extreme pain. I was unable to help him for a while because I was laughing too hard. He wouldn't ski with me again, and it put a significant damper on his honeymoon business.

  • @wittejoe1
    @wittejoe1 Před 14 lety +5

    look between the trees. DO NOT look at the trees, your body tends to follow where you are looking... enjoy!

    Rule no.1....don't look at the trees.....if you do you will hit one...look at the path between the tress instead....and remember speed is your friend, keep your speed constant and you will be fine :)

    Hello! Thanks for this useful video. By the way, I hear many people keep on talking about Avalorexon Training Program (do a google search), but I'm not sure if it is good. Have you tried using this ski program called Avalorexon Training Program? I have heard many great things about it.
