I couldn't have done it without the music ....

I remember when this song came.out I had just suffered my spinal cord injury. My kids wouldn't even come see me. I overdosed several times on different opiates and Xanax . The last time was a mixture of both I should have been dead. I saw my brother that day he died when I was 10 . He told me it wasn't time yet. I've since been through hell but got my kids back in my life as 6mos later my son died with cancer. Life's so unfair. It should have been me

I left the hospital a few hours later only to get home and overdose again. I'm about to turn 40 in a few weeks, my son is about to turn 5 and I'm celebrating my 5th year of being married to my wife. I can't even count the amount of times I should of died from overdosing like 99% of my friends have. I just woke up one day and decided enough was enough. Left my whole life behind and decided to start over. Been clean ever since and life has been great me. One things for sure though, "I ain't dead yet".
