One of the most underrated and under appreciated metal bands of all time.
?? They are neither. My dying bride has been a popular band since the early 90s with successful records, tours and even videos on MTV back in the day.
It's doom metal. Expecting them to be super successful is stupidity.
I'm always impressed by how naive metal fans are. They never think before talking.
Not really, I think they toured along with Iron Maiden once, which not any band could do, even as "second fiddle". And they are still just... fine, I guess. Not fantastically great.

It's easy liking what everyone else likes, but it's special enjoying some superior music whilst being alone.
I'm from fucking Portugal. I've never met another fan until I've moved to London and even she, being a Londoner, was surprised to find another MDB fan. This band is so sadly underrated, but, then again, it makes them even more special, if you think about it ;)
When you are 45, you listen to music,collect records and cd’s of almost all the genres of music from your elementary school,you have been in dozens of concerts and when you are listening this band and every time you are more impressed...then you know that this is great music,great musicians , great modern poets ! MY DYING BRIDE is the best doom band of all time!

Ive loved this band for over 20yrs. Turn Loose the Swans album literally changed my life. Sear Me still gives me shivers. They are an incredible band. Aarons vocal range, beautifully sad instrumentals mixed with rip roaring riffs, tragedy and beauty. I will always love My Dying Bride 🤟
Saw their dvd back in like 05 and was hooked.
Over 10000 day ago the kept me going at 2 am on Dynamo "95. Later saw them in a sea of people so crammed that we were the sea and they played the waves over us. Then from going crazy in a deserted house on a misty lake in Italy. Them make me happy.
This a great performance. They're probably my favorite live band, and I've been lucky to see them 4 times already, but I've had to travel all over the world to do it. However, they recently announced a 2018 show 10 minutes from my house. I'm feeling pretty damn lucky.

Слушаю с детства. Начинали ещё на кассетах. Старшие братья где то доставали.
Слушаем по сей день и нет альтернативы. Пол жизни связанно с , мелодиями, с ними видимо и на покой. Легендарная группа. Не приелось, не надоело. Музыка вызывает эмоции причём не важно сколько раз ты её прослушал. Идёт время а My Dying Bride вечен.

E eu particularmente acho que, por mais que eles tenham lançado ótimos álbuns posteriormente, nenhum se equipara ao turn loose the swans como um todo.
Eu também achava isso, mas recentemente encontrei a banda Draconian, album Sovran, que achei meio que no mesmo nível do My Dying Bride. Escuta aí, acho que tu vai curtir! ;)

When Ronnie James Dio played at the Embasy Hotel in London Ontario Canada back in 1995 this band was supposed to be there but we heard they got stopped at the US border for Coke possession and they never made it. This is the first time i ever heard them...not bad.

DORO, in wacken? again? I´m confused, My Dying Bride is so popular, so influent, so mesmerizing and we know their place in metal history... not you wacken organizers.
LC Yannick Campuzano Have you been to Wacken? It's smart as fuck to put My Dying Bride on the tent stage. They chose atmosphere over reputation. Imagine My Dying Bride on a huuuuuuge stage, open field in front, at daylight with people running around. It doesn't fit the music. Like they tried to let Emperor play at the main stage. It was horrible to watch it in daylight.
And in the dark, the main stages are filled with the headline acts.
These acts are mostly the bigger bands in terms of history or commerical success. (not that it's a bad thing) And I agree, My Dying Bride is influencial, but only because you like 'em it doesn't mean they are above other bands in general
I was at this show and can confirm that them playing the tent made the experience a million times more impressive.

de hecho encuentro el escenario apropiado... la música de MDB es delicada pero intensa, un escenario más grande hubiera arruinado la necesaria intimidad acorde a la música de los ingleses
