For Freshers go with Java (or any other core programming model), Learn pure coding first, and then move to low code models (like salesforce, Pega, SAP, etc). Trust me you can't compare Java with Salesforce. Both are different paradigms.

Hi @@deepthi4149, if you want to become top notch software engineer then learn things from scratch. Salesforce is different technology which is very limited, and you will be confined in this crm domain for your entire career. Even if you want to move it will take a lot of effort. If you don't want to be a top notch software engineer, and computer science is not your cup of tea then you can happily learn Salesforce. One more important thing is that in begining you will earn more at Salesforce side but you won't have those hard core engineer quality. There is tradeoff, use your own discretion.
I have almost 2 years of experience in Salesforce, currently working at IBM. Do you think It's worth switching to Java? I agree with you, but I feel bad about wasting my previous experience with SF, and starting over like a total fresher
@@IoriBernstein in my 11 years of IT career I changed technology 4 times. This is the field where you have to continuously learn and explore things rather than sticking to one technology your whole life. Don't treat your Salesforce journey as waste, every experience will pay you in long run.
