Definitely falls in the category of “just because we can build it doesn’t mean we need it”
Why? Because you're too poor to afford it?
That's exactly the essence of this product, I'm rich enough -
It can be a reasonable product for rich kids
In any case, I guess the 3 bottles can be filled with simple syrup.
Rod Munch what the hell is wrong with you
Rod Munch Don’t be a dick. I could afford this easily and I still wouldn’t get it. Why would I care that the app tells me how much I drank? I can just look at the bottle and see that.
Why would I need the app to mix flavors for me? I can just make my own mixed drinks myself.
It’s a neat bottle, but nobody needs this, especially another pointless app.
Rod Munch because buy the droppers and just put the flavouring in ur self it’s counterintuitive takes longer for no reason u numb nuts
The 1 dollar bottle of water I bought at the gas station also has a real time tracker for how much water I've drank, and you don't even have to have an app for it! Just check the current water level in the bottle! Brilliant!
@Smattless I tried just carrying it around in my hands but it kept spilling.
Smattless why’s it your concern on what somebody buys? what if they prefer bottled water?
I swear I’ve never seen someone with such a Karen mindset in my whole life lmao (your trash because you like something I think is bad) like wtf lmao
Smattless Id give you a thumbs up, but you’re a pretentious tool, so I’m not going to, because only morons concern themselves with what someone else does. No one loves you, either. Nothing but shrewd looks for the pretentious tool!
@Smattless as much as I hate what Nestle has done to the ecosystems where they source and bottle their water, I find your comment useless since you're treating people like shit instead of informing them while still trying to sound like you're better than someone else
its a really cool product but the cost is insane, its just like those coke at home machines that unbox therapy reviews, coffee pod machines and jucero and soda shake where the cost is just not worth it
The soda maker is interesting. It gives you something new and to experiment with. Juicero is if Apple had a juice company. Nothing innovative and easily overriden by just squeezing manually with your hands.
@@aaron-gz Lol I actually knew someone that worked at juicero. She even said wow this is an overpriced crap product and no way its going to work out. But they offered her a contact with great pay so she went to work and got out just before they fell apart.
@Deborah Ajao Not everywhere has palatable water, even if it is safe to drink. If you're gonna buy it in bottles, may as well get some flavor in it too, or better yet, get the flavor without all the bottles that don't always go to the recycler like they should.
Companies need to realized, if it costs more for you to have to do more effort with ordering the thing, ordering refills/pouches and then making it yourself, noone sane is going to buy it. You pay for convenience, with things like this you are paying 5x more for something significantly more inconvenient.
They're gonna do the "Printer strategy" where they will sell this bottle for like $10 and then the cartridge for like $200 lol..
Cool product though, especially the app.
Candi Soda I literally just buy a new printer since they come with ink at half the price of just one black ink cartridge lol. Even though the ink that comes in the printer is less than a full sized cartridge I still save tons of money 😂
@@frombeginnertoadvanced3dar472

Buuuuut that's probably illegal
From their website, if you subscribe, the bottle is only $70 plus $29 for the monthly pods. $30 for 45-90 flavored water drinks isn't bad honestly.
@@frombeginnertoadvanced3dar472 you buy a printer everytime your ink runs out?

Prices should be sliced in half. It doesn’t even hold that much liquid you’re gonna have to be refilling all day

Agreed, plus the little flavor tubes are $11.99 ea for 15 drinks
If it gets you to stop drinking pop it would pay for itself fast. You could take this with you to restaurants whenever they open again. You wouldn't have to keep several drinks on you

I pretty much watched the video waiting to see the price of the refills, they were even more expensive than I thought they would be. No thanks. After numerous ink jet printers going to the landfill I finally bought a cheap laser printer. No color but it has been reliable and cheap to operate. I'm never going back to ink jet.

You can buy small concetrated little bottles of juice, one squeeze and you have flavoured water costs maybe 3 dollars.... maybe about 25 bottles
Yep, I buy those. This thing here.....don't think so.
something like mio is way better than this tbh same price range but way more convenient
You guys are just plain ignorant. Let's admit that this thing has a lot of cool features, like controlling the volume of the juice and even combine other juices.
I honestly think that this thing has a potential for medical usage. Like for example, the other two vials are just juices but the third one could be a medicine or just a dedicated vitamins supplement. If you want to your drink to have 500mg og vitamin C then you can just program it to pump that amount.
What I also liked is the tracker. You can check how much of vitamin C you previously had so you can stop pouring in more if you found that you already reached your daily max dose.
The only thing I hate is it's price.
If only those cardridges were refillable you could at least use the cheap stuff as well. Might mess up the statistics a little bit but well.. who cares?
This has to be the most over-engineered product I've ever seen.

Basically a vape for water...the refills remind me of ink jet refills...that's where they'll get you, they should lower the price for the main unit and make their money back on the pods they'd make way more money that way.
Walmart sells the concentrate for like 98 cents and they taste pretty good. This is just too overpriced. Vaping is at least a LOT cheaper than cigarettes. Unlike vaping, this "alternative" to bottled water is WAY more expensive!

the Emperor of man you can make any cartridge reusable if you modify it
This is one of those products that's cool for 3 days then you find it to be a fuss and never use it again
I don't get it. I cant just drink pure water with it? Do I need these flavour filters or whatever is called? It would be great if it could measure how much of water I drink per day.
Erik_SCS you don’t need to use the pods. You can just drink the water and it will measure that.
Mr JohnPlays well at that point just buy a normal bottle, like a 1 L one. count the number of bottle you drink during the day, you'll save a shit load of money, that bottle is useless asf
@@SamGuay_ yes but in that way, you have it digitaly monitorized, you can follow the time of consumation. We life more and mroe in a digital age. Is this bottle needed to fullfill someones life? Measure my drinking, lol, bought a $20 64 ounce bottle, if I want to know how much I drank, I just check how many of those I drank a day.
I'll wait for someone to come out with the version you put Coke in with whisky, rum, and vodka cartridges. They'd need to be bigger too.
You could probably refill the pods and literally do that
This part ...bump everything else
Im sure it would work, but make your drink flat from shaking.
I love it, it just needs a co2 cannister and you'd have a mobile soda stream machine
The flavor aspect seems cool, but literally every other thing about this bottle seems burdensome. Too heavy for people like me who carry a water bottle on me. Too expensive. Too large for holders. Doesn't filter. Doesn't cool. It only flavors. I'd buy some of those tiny liquid flavor bottles and do the same thing.
I agree.... One thought was 'Can you refill these pods yourself?? Will other companies make pods for this item? Could you use "Soda Stream" syrups in this bottle??? And just how private is this info that's being sucked up by your phone??
Nothing is private anymore.....
And the portion of water seems so small. Can't reliably take this on a jog, or really even a walk. It's a cool gimmick tho.
a gimmick as always ,in UK a 1 litre bottle of fruit cordial costs £1 and will make like 10 litres of flavoured water ....
@@girlsdrinkfeck you need to get yo self some double strength juice from ASDA, £1 and you can make 15 litres of juice.

Thankfully this bottle can be used fully without the app or WiFi via the flavor button
If someone can justify spending $150 on a water bottle, the high price of the refills is moot.
AccioPotassium! I guess the only thing, although not a proper justification of the price is that you can cut down on the sodas you’re drinking if the drinks are as good as claimed. Not only are you being healthier, you are saving money there. This is still very expensive in the long run anyways. I agree with the review, if they can make the water bottle and pods cheaper, then I would totally buy the water bottle.

Two things that were nice to see, but can also be solved with on-bottle displays and button usage: dosage tracking and programmed mixes.

So essentially it needs a refillable pod system where you can buy in bulk the syrup to fill up a pod.
At least that would cut down on waste. But this is peak capitalism, baby. Who cares about that?
Something for hipster flexing. It's not really practical if it doesn't fit in average cup holders and what if you have to leave it in your car on a hot scorching day say on a shopping trip? Also the type of people that could really use this are health conscious and probably doing some kind of activity or exercise. This means hikes, running and gyms. That means it needs to be able to stand up to a few feet drop and be waterproof. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it's $150 plus the pods. Maybe there are those who will genuinely love it.
Great video as always.

this is like Juicero. Remember Juicero? And it turns out u can just squeeze the juice out of the pack with your hand and the juicer wont accept anything other than the proprietary packets.
Whats the benefit of any of this? That u dont have to mix the kool-aid flavours yourself?

They should have put a temperature sensor in there. Temperature sensors are relatively simple devices.I think they would sell a lot more with that ability. Also it would be neat to track the temperature on the app. That way one knows exactly when to take it out of the fridge or cooler.

If you're camping: This weighs more, requires charging, holds half as much water. Awful.
If you're at home, work, etc: Just get a regular water bottle and a regular drink mixer. Stuff like Mio is much cheaper per serving and works fine.
As an added bonus, regular water bottles have a bunch of optional features (e.g., you can get an insulated water bottle, a dishwasher safe waterbottle, a spillproof water bottle, etc.)
Admittedly, using this water bottle gives you more smart features. However, even if it was $30 and $5/mixer, I would still stick with a normal water bottle. It remains a mystery to me why people feel the need for a smart water bottle.
More dollars than sense.
I mean the idea of getting 90 drinks that are basically water and being able to track of much I consume is amazing. The price is not but it would be a need for me specially for my workout

I want to know what the sweetener is. I have trouble with aspartame (migraines) and others might too have problems with certain sweeteners. Cup holder is a big issue. Would like a way to carry it too (or option). I like to use a sip straw rather than taking off a cap, and recapping each time (hard when driving) so optional caps might be added to the box. Great review-convinced me to move along.
Does it track volume if you have not flavored the water? Like you can use it for hydration goals without ripping through the pods?
Do you have to use the flavor pods for it to track?
Does it track sips and daily water if it's just water ?
Somebody used real time, patience and liked to make something that makes people go wow
*Opening a water bottle* “it’s almost like a wine bottle”
What about drinking without the app running at the same time, does it still update after a couple of drinks?
Does it keep track of your water usage if you just drank your water out of it without using the flavor pods?
As a software developer they've really did a great job with their app. Most apps for gadgets are just useless and have no additional functions and look terrible. This one is really well done.
I feel like your videos have only gotten better and better. Strait to the point, fair ratings, and no sugar coating.
I gotta say the app and finish of the bottle is excellent
Will this track your intake if you don't use the flavors and just use it for straight water?
“Lemonade, that cool refreshing drink...💨💨💨excuse me”-Elvis-as-portrayed-by-Eddie-Murphy, Delirious.
Well that didn't take long, Life fuels is officially out of business and no longer making bottles or flavor pods.
So now a $150 paper weight

if you just drink two regular waters for every flavored serving it'll cut pod price to a third per month and you wont get tired of the flavors as quickly. does the app track water level even if the drink is not flavored?
I have owned this bottle for about a month and I agree with you 100%. It is an awesome water bottle but it does not fit it car cup holders and the refills are quite expensive. One other issue I have had is that it does have issue connecting with my phone sometimes. I do believe if they made the pods less expensive more people would try this product.
LOVELY VIDEO JAMES!
Jacey Klein how is this 10 hours ago 😒
You should follow this up and see if you couldn't take the off the shelf liquid water flavoring from the store, and perhaps try and refill the pods yourself somehow, perhaps a syringe? Crunch the numbers and see if that is a viable more affordable solution? This would skew the information on the app, but a bit of course. This bottle is SO COOL.. but at its current price tag for the refills, it's just not viable.
What happens if you don't add a flavor? Does it still track your intake?
Hello, i really like your reviews. I was just wondering if once you can review the starlyfe autoclean mob. Thank you. Greetings from Belgium
