About FNF
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player must pass multiple "weeks", each usually containing three songs.[note 1] Each week, the player typically faces a different opponent.
During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes which the player must mirror by pressing the arrow keys or WASD. At the bottom of the screen is a bar indicating how well the player is doing. The left side of the bar is red, representing the opponent. The right side is green, representing the player. Successfully hitting notes will increase the size of the player's bar, while missing notes causes the opponent's bar to expand. The player fails if the opponent's bar fills up the entire bar.
For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Medium, and Hard. As difficulty increases, the speed of incoming arrows increases and the patterns of arrows become more complicated. The player's high score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and shown in the top corner of the week selection screen.

Another fun fact! the little glint that he has on his eyes is his ACTUAL eyes and the rest is painted, I never saw him the same way anymore...
Some little facts:
1: The flashing image of BF hanging is based on a bug on Luigi's Mansion where Luigi's shadow was misplaced making players think Luigi died in the mansion or he hanged himself.
2. Oh God No is based on the line Luigi says after being thrown into lava.
3. MX and GB are just MX and GB, their names don't stand for anything.

Adding to the fun fact list: They got Juno Songs to voice Dj Hallyboo in the song No Party, he's also the voice of Host Hoedown (a song from the Mario Party Anti Piracy series) with lyrics.
I don’t know if people pointed this out but each worlds are different types of mario media. The first world are joke characters, the second world is about popular creepy pastas, rom hacks, and mario urban legends. The third World is all about mario animations on CZcams, the forth world being rom hacks and ARGs and the last world being about mario classified.

There is actually a song called unbeatable that can be played after you finish Allstars. From what I gathered it’s originally from a Nintendo commercial that aired in Australia of Nintendo that ended up being very creepy. And stating that Nintendo was unbeatable.
I think it was three things that I got from other headcannons:
1: It is a reference to the sheer difficulty of most NES games.
2: It is a message to Sega and other competitors of Nintendo.
3: They are challenging players to beat the games using reverse psychology.
There's also another character he skipped over whos Called Somani who came from the game with the same name which is just a
bootleg of Sonic the Hedgehog Where its just Mario in the place of
Sonic.

For more detail about Beta Luigi: That original game over screen wasn’t actually a game over screen actually. It was just in a very early trailer of Luigi’s Mansion to promote the game. Also for the lightning flash of BF hanging himself, it’s based off a secret in Luigi’s Mansion. In Luigi’s Mansion for the GameCube, there’s an event to where Luigi calls Toad on the phone while lightning flashes during the call. And when the lightning flashes and if you take a closer look, you’ll notice something odd about Luigi’s shadow. It’s being casted on the wall. Almost as if Luigi’s shadow hung itself. Most people say that it was just some error or just a creepy secret added by the developers.

It's a bug
During the start of Area 4, a blackout happens. There's an optional event that happens in the Telephone Room only during the blackout. Luigi can use one of three telephones to call either Toad, E. Gadd, or a ghost. While you are on the phone when lightning flashes, you'll see your shadow cast on the wall as if Luigi hung himself. That is not intentional, this is a bug. A programming oversight to be exact

while yes, he's a blind(quite literally blind) killing machine,he is very selective on who he kills. specifically, he wants to ONLY kill people who wronged him,like bowser and his minions, luigi and the mushroom kingdom wont be attacked at all.(theres a comic on the internet where turmoil tells luigi that even though he has a new family, he still misses him.)

In the credits, whilst not canon, it’s shown that the dead GF shown in Demise’s cutscene is a $15 prop. That could explain how she came back after MX brutally murdered her

@@landonlmr8957Marco Antonio did say that the ending doodles are non canon and are just funny doodles. BF and GF did actually die. Everything postgame (unbeatable and the legacy songs) is non canon (also stated by Marco or some other dev). What takes place canonically after All Stars is mostly up to interpretation. Sometimes not all endings are good. Maybe MX just revived GF just to kill her again.
I find it hard to believe that this mod acknowledges that BF has fought demons, angels, and shit, and he somehow loses to Mario.

@@melih2094 Ultra M is a fusion of literally every character we’ve seen(excluding Mr.SYS, because he was added in as a joke since Act 4 and Unbeatable were being worked on at the same time). Although they’re all together in one body, M(horror mario) makes the calls with the body. Together they are Ultra M

I like how GF always suffers cause of DD past mistakes like most mods she just a victim of being a part of the dearest family I also liked how other creepy pasta mods where mentioned and the fact the end wasn't a hally ending the chracter where written well over all best mod yet
I like to think that M knew he was going to lose from the very beginning, and that bf knew M was going to kill him in the end anyway, which is why he broke the deal and took the warp star after Starman Slaughter to preserve his and gf's life for longer. I also like to think that in All Stars, when Ultra M says, "Can't you see now? We're one soul stronger, and you are alone. You can't win. So why do you still fight?" That he knows the exact reason Bf is still fighting and that he kills him in the end anyway because he knew he couldnt possibly beat bf in a rap battle. Its even sung in the credits by M that he feels no accomplishment from killing bf the way he did, and that it would've felt way better if he'd killed him fairly instead of taking advantage of his power.
Nah, knowing how Mario got backstabbed I think he would keep the deal and let them go if bf gave him 3 songs from the start
Not really since if BF didn't break the deal he would've beaten M and freed himself and Girlfriend but because of peach and yoshi angering M bf and gf misinterpreted the anger and took the warp star
@@bigt9538 M planned on killing gf from the very beginning, whether or not bf were to win. In the beginning, M talks about how he's gonna make gf pay for what "that traitor old man she calls a father did to him all those years ago", and to bf, M says he'll let him go if he beats the 3 songs, otherwise he'll kill him, since he never planned on freeing gf.
I FC’d All Stars and I was so excited for the comeback just to get stone edged in the heart out of nowhere and pico being alive after being used once, even though it’s amazing that they even included him, it doesn’t feel like an ending, it feels more like a cliffhanger to a sequel we might not get
Yeah, I wish pico had a more prominent role in the mod, or we could've at least seen his fate.
It also would've been cool if he had another song where he fought the corrupted versions of GF and BF too. (Since both of them died in All Stars and it was shown that GF was turned into a puppet so it would've been cool to see BF like that too)
In the final cutscene, we see that BF and GF aren’t dead, they are being controlled by Mario like puppets

In the song "All stars" you can actually see Cappy- from Mario odyssey, on top of Mario's Head. I also noticed that act 1 takes place in a ruined version of New Donk City
I’d agree with MX being way more powerful than gf if any of us actually knew canonically how powerful she is.
Like none of us really know, we just assume from small fun facts and hope to see more of what she can do in the future officially.

Remember though, it was getting more and more chaotic as the arena they stood in was a burning hellfire, while M was heavily burnt, as rage was seething in his eyes. He may have not been lying, however I doubt he would let them go *That* easily.

I feel like a neat addition they could have made to the mod is to give BF more than one life, and for the life counter to decrease each time GF died in a song (I think in Super Mario 3D World at least, lives were shared between the players in co-op mode) so that when she died in the last song it would be a bit more impactful because there really would be no coming back at that point (would also just explain in general how she could die multiple times in the mod and come back fine in the next song)
But even when you hit 0 lives that is the final life before you die though in any of the games. Maybe Evil Mario is giving one more life for BF but keeping GF dead idk though

In MX’s lore anyone who gets caught in his game are given infinite lives so he can forever kill and torture its the fate Lucas has to fight
I remember not being able to put it into words why I felt too scared to play basically any game that has Water I can't see the bottom of (I still get chills whenever I can't see the bottom of water in videogames), and I literally just learned the meaning of Thalassophobia when I first heard the song, but hands down my favourite song in the mod.
On the last course song:
1: bf isn't a goomba, he's a galoomba (or goombrat, i just remember that it is the version that can be picked up after being stomped)
2: turmoil only eats the enemies, not toads or luigi, just bowser's army (and wiggler for some reason)
3: also, turmoil is blind

I’m taking the headcanon of someone else who said something similar to this; which is that the end credits are depressing and Ultra M is saddened because he realized that he no longer has toys to play with, as everyone is dead.
Also about Pico; he met ONLY Mr.L, not Horror Mario, so Horror Mario isn’t even aware of his existence yet.

Another fun fact about the song ALONE: The shot of boyfriend hanging whenever the lightning strikes is actual a refrence to an old theroy and popular camera glitch in luigi's mansion on the gamecube. Basically there's a point in the game where all the lights in the mansion go out and a phone starts ringing meanwhile in the room the phone is in, lightning occasionally strikes, lighting up the room and luigi's shadow would appear on the wall. I forget if you had to do specific things to cause this but basically, something with the camera caused luigi's shadow and another shadow to overlap, making it look like luigi had hung himself, which led to a couple of theories going around the community that luigi was dead after that point in the game iirc.
Something to note about DJ Hallyboo is that his design in the mod is clearly heavily inspired by the video "Host Hoedown With Lyrics" by Juno Songs, wherein Juno made his own art and gave the fight lyrics. The shaded face and red glowing eye are present in Juno's art but not the original Host Hoedown video.
also, just a little fun fact, the chromatics of hallyboo here is also juno's. Piracy is no party, but why is that song a banger then?
Since Orse forgot about Somari and The Unbeatable gang, I’ll go over those two. Somari is supposed to be a bootleg of Sonic 1 that combined Mario and Sonic. While Somari looks more like Mario than Sonic,he does do some of Sonics iconic poses and the icons of Somari looks like Sonic in the FNF mod. As for the Unbeatable gang they originated from an Australian Nintendo commercial from the 1900s that’s kinda unsettling especially for a Nintendo commercial. The dude with the suit is called Mr.Sys,The dog from Duck Hunt shows up,one of the enemies from the R.O.B game,And Lakitu as well as Bowser show up in the song “Unbeatable” which can be unlocked after beating All Stars.
(Edit: Also something funny about Unbeatable is that you literally can’t beat them cause the icons go back in the middle when you hit the last two notes.)

Nah, the world its in is called Classified Castle, and only Mario Classified characters are in it. Would be pretty cool if the song was based off of that.

Just to say that bf and gf might be able to come back due to how games that have a life count word,you see if you lose all your lives you actually get more lives,so they might be able to get their comeback in this or they could just spawn into the real world,moving on to another topic I want to talk about is how bf and gf are actually dumb because when Mario said he would let them go if they did three songs but no,as you can see in the second song bf ran off and that’s what actually caused their death in the first place,it may seem like Mario Exe wasn’t trustworthy in that talk,but he actually was pretty trustworthy due to him being impressed,but due to bf and gf being idiots they lost their lives.

You did well, but you did miss alot when it comes to coronation day. Long story short, mario and peach went to the forest, a cult got peach and used he body as a host for “the king”. All the kind needed to escape was a pure heart. The physical heart of mario. He proceeded to jump off the bridge and into the water, killing himself and preventing the king from getting his heart. (This is why a part of the bridge in the mod is broken). The place mario is found in this mod is a reference to the rom.
The king is also very angry and jealous towards anyone of status, believing himself the true king. And as the rom takes place in the future, after Mario and Peach are married, the king hates him, as mario is the king of the mushroom kingdom. This makes it very likely the king HATES Ultra M

I don't know if this is true but ever since GF dies in Alone, I'm pretty sure that Mario controls her soul and used her to lure BF to him. That's why she kept coming back. And it also explains why she can fly in the 2nd MX song despite her powers being useless in Mario's world

Bf may have lost the battle but he won the war. Even in the face of imminent death and losing Gf, he never fully gave into despair like Ultra M wanted. He stood tall and braved against M's worst mind games, tricks, and horrors. In the lyrics of the credits, its revealed that something about BF's final stand shook M to the core and now he can't shake the feeling that he might have made a grave error. He had this fascination of making Daddy Dearest suffer through making his daughter suffer, just like he did. However, Bf probably gave him the most fun he's had in literal decades and after killing the couple, now what? He's right back where he started. Alone again. He claimed Bf to be alone in all stars, even before that, he constantly questioned why he just wont give up and accept his fate. M was the one that was and still is truly alone. Trapped in a game full of genuine weirdos and creeps. The only Sane one in among a world of madness. Perhaps he's even envious of Bfs indomitable human spirit as M accepted his fate of being trapped and gave into madness long ago. As opposed to Bf who never gave up despite the odds. So now our "God" stands tall and alone. He ponders to himself. Is this really what he wanted? Is he satisfied?
