This show isn't receiving the attention it deserves.
The casting and the adaptation are both impeccable, it's one of the very few adaptations that did the books justice, and the crew exacted it perfectly.
One of the rare moments, when I dare to say the TV show is as good as - if not better than - the books.
t's been pretty good although Palmer's American accent constantly slipping is a distraction for me.

Honey don’t worry about that!! It’s absolutely killed in views it’s the most streamed show on Sky One. Not every demographic and popularity shows in social media. It got green lit for 2 seasons in one that means it’s V successful
It's good, it's not that good.
You should compare to other series in the same genre, like Outlander.
There isnt enough in this series that appeals to guys.

I'm sure it would be extremely popular if available on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or any other popular platform... I love the actors and I've been very curious to watch it, but I'm just not paying for a new streaming service to watch a single show. :(

@@christinaluna713 I love all of them :D I admit, that i was a bit irritated at first because i imagined them differently, but i got used to them after a few episodes and now i love everyone.
With the leads being older(30’s - 40’s ) , finally there is something in this genre geared towards a more grown up crowd . Makes for a nice change from seeing 16 & 20 yr old Vampires and witches 😄
Yes! Omg. I thought I’m the only one wondering why almost all tv series in this genre casting barely legal teens. Older vampires and witches are wayyyyyy sexier.

This show is so underrated. It's an absolute fantasy masterpiece, with stunning cinematography and acting. This deserved more seasons! I can't believe next year, the third season will be the last :(
you mean underrated cause is not on one of the biggest network ABC, CBS, NBC or even FOX, I tell you why everything is about money advertising and ratings..just saying

There are three books in the series, hence the three seasons
I’m pretty sure it was always meant to be three parts if that gives you any peace. So far they’ve done a good job interpreting the books and I have no doubt the final season will be impeccable and complete.

This is a brilliantly written and epic series…the casting, costumes and sets alone are fantastic! So underrated…Better than anything at the theatre! I will miss it after this season

@@user-wo1fi6gb7q There could be a 4th season if they make Time’s Convert into a tv series. I’d watch it. I already read it, good read, but I think The Book of Life was the best read in the series. Can’t wait to watch and buy the S3 dvd.

I can NOT WAIT for this! Love the books, and I love how they've kept close to the books, while taking liberties like all shows do. But, the main essence of the original content is still there. Wonderful adaptation!
It helped greatly to have the book author as an Executive Producer so they didn't veer off too much.

How is this close to the books in anyway? They kept the basic outline but it’s cringey af.
When she says "I'm ready", I literally screamed "so am I. Let's go".
This looks better than the second season....I can't wait
third novel is the best as well, with Diana having her power and in the right time. second book and the second season was a little out of place being in the past.
although some of the dialogue choices in the trailer makes me believe that they have changed quite a lot from the book, at least in the flow of events.

@@Velsetta that's not what i meant. in the book, by the time Diana got back from the past, Emily's death had already settled down, with many of the repercussions having already happened; like Know being kicked out of the congregation. Here, it looks like Knox is still a member. it's Marcus' leadership of the Knights that brings about Knox being kicked off; and it hasn't happened yet in the show when Diana comes, they're essentially taking out a big chunk of Marcus' character growth.
still, I can see some ways that won't make a big difference, if it was just this change. but it looks like there are a lot more.

I'm so glad that the whole story will be told... I am also sad to say goodbye to one of the best shows I have watched. The cast has amazing chemistry. For so many intertwining parts, it's been brought to life brilliantly. I've loved every minute of watching this journey unfold.
This is literally the worst book adaptation I’ve ever watched.

I don't think it's underrated, it's just hard to find. I would love to watch it but it's not available on any of the platforms that I (and most people) have.

S1 was really great, so much so I was a little let down by S2, but I'm confident S3 will knock it out of the park. Teresa Palmer is an outstanding actress who compliments Matthew Goode. This show has a great cast and great acting'
This show has so much potential!! Very gripping and it just kinda sucks you into that world which is the kinda show I absolutely love. The characters are all in such great roles there’s no one else to fill the shoes of the cast tbh. Give this show a chance and let the story unravel.

Honestly the only thing I want to see his Matthew and Marcus scenes. I've always been so interested in the maker/parent relationship w their sires/kids. Especially Marcus and Matthew. But they rarely ever get 10 seconds of screen time together
You can read the book about Marcus title Time convict it gives you an in-depth history of how they became father and son
Literal chills! This is one of the best book-to-screen adaptations I've seen. How have they not won like an Emmy?! Just watching this trailer makes me wanna go read the books again!
I know that there are only three books so, there are only supposed to be three seasons. I was just thinking that the author is also an advisor on the series. I’m wondering if she could create some new content for more seasons. It would be wonderful!
Actually there is another book, it is called Time’s Convert and it’s about Marcus. The author is planning to’ release other books in the future but due to historic research the process is very long
Similar to what George R. R. Martin did in GoT? That didn't go very well for the last season (popular opinion, but not mine). Your idea is great especially if it means introducing powerful crones in the future.
For me three seasons are perfect. I can always revisit them whenever I miss the series/characters. Sometimes, having so many seasons the main story end up losing its essence. IMO.
Actually there is a third book called times convert but it’s about feebee & Marcus journey not the main characters, and would not really fit into Discovery if witches series in my opinion! I was hoping with the way book 3 ended that she might write another set a bit in the future about their kids, but who knows maybe she will!
@@amethystwillow9368 I read somewhere that she is writing a book about Matthew during the reign of Henry VIII, another about Gallowglass and another about Philippe, they are structured like Marcus' book though
One Hallmark of a good series is that you can watch it multiple times and still see something new.
I've got seasons 1 and 2 on my hard drive, I've watched every episode at least twice and there's still things that I did I missed before. Very rich.
I'd love to see a four-season but sometimes season 4 runs out of steam or the writers run out of ideas. "Good things come in threes?" Is that how the saying goes? A very special show, not be bing-watched. Content like this is too rare.
I love that amc Quietly respected the wishes of Annie Rice because I believe after this show ends the first trailer for The vampire Chronicles will drop for Amc and I can't wait for that show

At least in the books, Ysabeau wraps him around her little finger; he is definitely infatuated and complacent and has no idea what she's up to; in the TV show, Gerbert seems smarter.
this should be getting the hype GoT and HP did.. what an absolute masterpiece!!!!!! put this on billboards . may be this keep people glued to their TVs and away from gatherings and solve the COVID ordeal after (not to make light of a world wide pandemic and an obvious crisis inhuman existence yet mind you!)
I just cannot wait, given how many times I watched seasons 1 and 2, and read the trilogy. I practically know them by heart now. It was my own discovery of the Discovery of Witches and I enjoyed it immensely. Matthew Goode is totally gorgeous and he has already starred in so many great movies and shows before this
I am so excited for the upcoming season three, the final season I've read. Hoping for them to tie everything up from the books into the final season, it will be epic. January 8th is only a few days away. I have found a new show to fall in love with and watch a million times.

It's so rare to find a great book made to really good show that can satisfy every audience. I really can't believe there's season 3 already and there's still people who haven't even heard of the book or the show.
I just finished watching Seasons 1 and 2. I am so surprised that the story is amazing. I can't wait any longer for Season 3.
I heard a lot of people say that The show is incomparable but I feel that this is probably one of the best adaptations I've seen of a show from a book in a while
On the 3rd season Teresa and Matthew are the best pairing together and compliment each other so we'll. But this show is so good. I don't want it to end.

over the last three days I have seen the first two seasons and It is the best show I have seen in years. From acting, to actors, to costuming and sets it just blows me away. Now that I know a third season is coming, It is all I want for Christmas (even if it is only coming in the new year.

@@ChisomEjimkaraonye Not just you. I fast-forwarded most every single episode of Season 2. Didn't care for it one bit - not one little bit. I, unfortunately, was very bored with it. Don't think I'll be watching Season 3 because I don't have AMC+. Unless they show it on a free weekend. I don't quite remember how I got to watch Season 2.
@@ChisomEjimkaraonye oh you’re definitely not the only one. I was so sad when I got disappointed because of the s2. Also, because the race system issues (I think demons are just humans with max art capabilities) season 3 must do very good to cover up all these things.
Quite frankly the second season is just as boring as the second book, which I’ve been trying to finish for the past 3 years by the way. I have to finally give up and skip to the third book
