a user chats "i fucking hate phantoms" and then the next thing they know is that they see one flying towards them yelling "Watch your mouth."
Imagine talking to an enderman, they greet you with such friendliness, but as soon as you look up into it’s eyes.. all manners of friend-making are revoked.

This has the same issue any ai has. No personality on the text and extremely straight to the point answers. Ai npcs suck.

They're all poetic and formal too, no other personality or immersion. Cool mod nonetheless, though I personally wouldn't play with it for lack of personalities

Imagine making an iron farm and you see the villagers cursing you and the iron golems screaming in pain
I hope cave spiders and normal spiders both talk trash about eachother in their dialogue due to their differences
mobs should have specific personalities. i think that would make it more interesting than just random lines. creepers could be very jumpy/twitchy, make even like yandere kinda? villagers obv just normal.
zombies could be kinda like cavemen?

I wonder if the mod will have any abilities to tweak things like having only piglins, iron golems, endermen, and villagers speak since they’re some of the closest things to a sentient group compared to the player. Very interesting to see it displayed among every single mob
Yeah, especcially since most mobs are difficult to talk to since they just explode or shoot you while you are speaking, whereas piglins you can avoid being attacked pretty easily
Edit: however I should mention striking up a conversation with a creeper is really funny

God this is so charming, I love how self-aggrandizing most of these mobs are.
The dancing motif with Creepers is an interesting choice, fitting considering their tall stature yet quadrapetic nature.
My only wish would be that the friendly mobs (cows, pigs, birds, axolotls, etc.) speak casually, and that they don't sound too formal or serious.
I think this mod would benefit if conversations affected how hostile the mob is. (E.G. a chicken is so offended by you it attacks, or a creeper that likes you enough it wont explode in your face.)

Yeah! We have 3 behaviors currently working: follow, attack, and flee! :D

Thank you very much for realizing such a complex concept! I'm just putting together a virtual reality build for minecraft and trying to make minecraft as immersive as possible. The minecraft community is not ready for this mod. Will the mod support other languages? (Russian, for example).

It would be cool if chatting with the mobs could effect their actions depending on what you type.

Honestly, it would be morally hard to make automatic mob farms with this mod. Gotta figure out how to get resources without killing anyone.
so is it just a chat interface? or can they actually do things you tell them to do, like follow you or go away. Or like stay put idk
i would consult the mod page that explains that, and yes they can do basic tasks like following
Fun and games until they talk to you from the boat next to the piston machine
That's neat as hell.
It would be cool if every creature spoke differently
Kind of like dungeons and dragons where you need a special effect to talk to the animals
Endermen, Endermites, and Shulkers could speak in reverse
While things like Zombies may speak incomprehensible nonsense or very simple sentences
And
maybe some creatures will only speak comprehensible language under certain conditions
These are just some ideas of course
You should add compatibility with locally run models instead of only forcing us to rely on paid third party models, some of us have AI models running on our computers locally and don't want to pay money for stuff that's not worth it (considering these LLMs are mostly trained on stolen content)
Is this possible with other mods too? Or only vanilla?
Finally, a mod that uses AI in a good and creative way.

it's ALL mobs, so yes.
every rpg game should have an ai for chatting when it's not a main line quest, already a mod for sky rim like this too
