This is two years late but I want to explain why I think it’s not backwards. Barry is in the actual mirror. He’s not actually standing in front of it. So the symbol wouldn’t be backwards.
Wait wait. If Barry is trapped in the mirror, shouldn't he not be able to understand the others since they will sound reverse-like from his perspective?
