Thank you. I have followed your directions and I am very happy with how my zipper looks on a tweed skirt I am making. I now feel confident about zippers, whereas before, I used to dread it.

Ahhh, I hate putting in zippers. I always tried to avoid it when and where ever I could by using elastic in the waist but after having watched your video I want to give it another try. Thank you for the demonstration.

Great camera work. Nice and close, good lighting, easy to see. And as usual, perfect instruction - remembering all the details that those who have no clue how to sew in a zipper could possibly need to know.
What machine are you using here? Basting stitches look nice and long. Thanks.

This is a great tutorial. I don't always find tutorials that lay out the steps in a simple manner. Showing the fabric and zipper laid out flat between steps is much more effective, and you have your camera set up nicely. My instinct was to baste stitch everything before sewing the visible stitches, but naturally I had to make things harder than they should be, haha. Now I know I was doing it right the first time.

I bought a beautiful dress on vacation thousands and thousands of miles away from home at a super chic and expensive boutique. It fit like a glove. Before walking to the register I grabbed the same dress off the rack and put the one I tried on in its place because I noticed some fraying at the bottom.
Well….when I got it home and was ready to wear it the zipper wouldn’t zip up. I tried and tried until I got frustrated and took it off to inspect the zipper. It was completely broken! So in now have this $90 dress that I haven’t worn because in need to replace it.
Can you do a video of how to replace a zipper? A LONG one? lol. Possibly on satin🤓 that would be awesome. You get to the point and are a great teacher! The best by far on CZcams ☺️
