Tip: Look up the pulgar with rest stroke technique in Flamenco. That should allow plucking the bass with the thumb and simultaneously strumming or picking the lower strings.

There are guitars like this. The first time I saw one was in the music video for "Tonight Tonight" by the Smashing Pumpkins (although I don't think it's actually used in the song, just there for decorative purposes because the Pumpkins are "artsy" like that). I also saw one at a Guitar Center in their acoustic room, but I don't think it was for sale, I think it was just there (again) for decoration haha

1:05 I thought the same, first time I saw a harp uke. It only had two harp strings, at which point I reckon a guitarlele would be the preferable option.
When you have the option, I'd say the more the merrier, though even with four extra strings, an upscaling or reshaping of the body and upping the scale length would be in order. A pear shaped body sized like a mandola would be perfect for the four harp strings.

Nice post. Thank You! Interesting instrument but I am light years away from tackling something that requires so much thought, I think??? I like the sound of it and it seems well made. I think you are a good musician and I like that you openly share with an honest viewpoint. I also watched your other posts with this instrument and big time enjoyed your cover of Billie Holiday's 'Comes Love" in French and left handed...lol which you did some fine work on. I am officially jealous! :)

Hi :) I heard you are amazing
Rotem Sivan told me ;D so,then I have an amazing questions
    1 - I have a problem with something called harmonic Major ;)
Practically anyone talks about it, there are no songs in harmonic Major and his modes, just nothing
only some general information about the construction of this scale.
So,maybe you have some interesting information about modal music in general,
but with an emphasis on harmonic Major and his modes? :D
Have you made any videos about it or are you planning to do them in future?
it's a very interesting topic, e.g. functional harmony in harmonic Major.
Normally on second degree we have subdominant ii,right?
but in harmonic Major ii is diminished,vi is augmented and iv i minor.
Diminished chord is treated like rootless dominant in natural Major
but in C harm.Major it would be flat A7 ,but a flat is augmented and G7 is dominant...
If you can recommend something, a book, songs list in harmonic Major modes etc.
or make a video about it, i'll be thankful
    2 -
in context of Jerry Bergonzi - Melodic structures vol 1
we have 4 notes shapes to exercise with chord
but it is somewhere a book with composing exercises ???
How to create a verse, chorus, and transition between them
    that everything could be consistent?
How to create modal compositions in chosen mode?
Or how to make ionian verse/intro,
    ionian #5 break,
    ionian b6 chorus
or/and, how to create compositions in a chosen genre
    flamenco verse/intro,
    jazz break,
    country chorus
    and classical outro

these are much more interesting issues
but I don't know where to look for training materials :(
    Best regards
PS my English is not very good, I used the google translator, I hope you understand what I mean :D

Does the funny banana extension of the body actually do much sound wise, or would an extension of the headstock, like what you see on an baroque or swedish lute do the same?
