I never understood how all reactors fell for that. Even if you thought it was Vi's face (it's been 7 years), in the next moments they show them one near the other, and Jinx is clearly bigger...and that girl doesn't say anything, just looks scared...Anyone thinking it was Vi after that scene was watching like a zombie. That being said, I think this is one of the few scenes where the animators could have done it a little better, like keeping the face of the girl a few more frames, before superimposing Vi's face in Jinx's hallucination.

With that. PEOPLE STOP DEPICITNG CAITLYN SHORT, SHES TALLER THAN VI- And not to mention she is buff too, like, im still amused she can drag Vi and by the looks of her weight shes heavy)
Fun fact: the song playing when Jinx is like jamming and Silco is yelling at her in the background, is a song called "Get Jinxed" and is a music video on Jinx that Riot games made when they first worked with Fortiche, the animation company that makes Riot Games's videos and who helped work on this show.
I'm sad that they didn't use Vi's theme "here comes Vi" in one of her fights, like her fight in episode 9 was a perfect chance to use "Here comes Vi" but they didn't do it, I hope that they will use her song in season 2

Finally! Someone notices how jacked Cait is too! Like girl has got guns! Like you, I also pretty immediately fell in love with Caitlyn this episode. Your reaction to Jayce and Mel had me cackling! I’m not a huge Jayce fan myself so that made it slightly funnier. And the Vi reveal. So good. They build it up so well and the music is just… and the “who the hell are you?” Ugh! Love it! Love Vi! They had to save the best for last lol.
I think I just find it notable because generally a character like Cait never gets to have any muscle. Either because the style of animation or because they just don’t bother giving them any despite athletic inclination. So seeing Caitlyn “Gun Enthusiast” Kiramman actually get some guns of her own? Beautiful!
@@BGTitanAvatar Its actually pretty impressive how they made Caitlyn defy conventional attractiveness in a lot of ways (arms, face, teeth, to name a few things) and yet she's still super pretty. Same for Vi and Jinx and Mel. Theyre all pretty in their own rights despite having different body types. Unlike some modern games like TLOU2 (Im sorry, Abby). And the best thing about it is that these characters are both beautiful AND capable.
Tiny little Jinx staring up at Sevika, the Amazon warrior queen, and I felt scared for Sevika. I actually can’t think of anything more intimidating than the thought of Jinx _GIVING YOU HER FULL ATTENTION._

Don't worry, the next ep is aaaaaall Vi. Also yeah, Marcus threw her in prison but he gave her no record and told Silco she was dead. It was the only way she could completely disappear off the map at the time.
Actually, he could send her to Noxian, or anywhere far from there, or even shove her in a safe house in Piltover in secret... Throwing her into prison was the easiest way for him to get rid of her. He saved her from getting killed by Silco, but still, it was a dick move.

Fortunately, Vi's tougher than the average kid but still a really horrible place for her to be. Marcus did the absolute minimum to help her so he is certainly no saint.

When you're king of the trash heap, a trash heap is pretty much what you have to help the people you care for with. Not a lot of options open to him. Also Silco suffers from some trauma himself and probably failed to recognize the signs of powder's failing mental health. Probably believing that what he was doing was making her stronger and not making things worse.

Yessss, people talk about Silco like he is mentally stable enough to recognize that maybe it’s not the best idea to give her explosives and guns. He only wants Jinx to be strong enough so that she could defend herself in a so fucking dangerous world, just as he learnt. Obviously we know it’s not responsible at all, but in Silco’s head makes sense and it’s ok.
I love how you're not afraid to pause the video to talk about it, as well as re-watching scenes as needed. So many reactors never do either, and it would often be a good move (especially pausing, allowing you to elaborate on a point without risking missing something). Very excited to see you react to the rest of the series. Also, poor Jayce XD I knew he'd go onto your shit-list when Mel started hitting on him. Poor bastard's just trying to improve lives, he's the prey here :-p And as far as Viktor goes, I'm under the impression that he chooses to not be in the spotlight. The fact that Jayce asked him to come on stage with him and Viktor declined is a pretty good indicator of that. Viktor seems pretty shy and/or introverted, so I imagine the idea of being the face of a revolution of tech terrifies him. I know I wouldn't want my face plastered all over everything like that. Wouldn't be surprised if he's also self-conscious about his bum leg too.
I'm glad you also see just how tragic and traumatic Jinx' life is; a lot of people focus too much on her being "badass" that they glance over just how truly tragic her story is. Great reaction! Also, a little game facts.: the creators have gone on record saying Jinx was originally created with heavy Harley Quinn influence. However, I think that Arcane Jinx has become so much more than just a Harley Quinn replica.

I love the visual shorthand this show uses. Before the timeskip, Victor leaned on a cane. Now he uses a crutch. That is really subtle, and more frightening than his pale face and coughing to me. Also, I might be reading too much into this, but Vi had really short hair when she was young, and so did Powder. But after Vi "abandoned" her, Powder has let her hair grow. I think she was trying to change her look and be less like her sister. I think the tattoos and the belly-baring shirt are probably part of her trying to stand out and make herself look grown-up and confident, to mask her inner anxiety. Could totally be reading too much into that, though.
Pretty admirable Elijah didn't know how Jinx would look like beyond the images from the intro, considering Jinx has been literally everywhere online since Arcane premiered

Jinx is one of my all-time favorite protagonists; the way her trauma/mental illness is depicted is so _intense!_ (Also, I'm an absolute sucker for a precious baby who needs to be hugged and protected but is also _incredibly_ dangerous and violent) And I _cannot_ wait to see your reaction to the next episode!
Completely agree, Jinx is one of my favorite characters in media I’ve ever come across. Out of all protagonists I’ve seen in video games, tv shows, movies, books-she’s in my top 3 easy. Such an amazingly written character. Ella did a superb job voice acting her too, I’m sure that added to my liking.
Time to watch another reactor freak out over the "confrontation on the boat". Here's to hoping Elijah might be one of the rare few that actually realize what's happening in that moment, so she won't have to be super-confused till the end of the episode ;)
The thing is that Arcane as no Kikimora they will bring Markus a more in depth character in the future and even though you will probably still find him annoying and that he deserves worst it won't be like Kikimora where she just does the things she does because she as the hots for the emperor. Markus has a way that makes not hate him so much but will keep you not liking him.

something i noticed about Jinx's little audio distraction thing is.that she said "im just a helpless little girl and i set the building on fire! By accident. Totally by accident." Not only is that talking about what she did in the previous (or maybe even the first) episode, i noticed it only starts to get like distorted and turn into her actual voice during the "by accident" part.... As if thats her saying she regrets it? Maybe not regret exactly but she was definitely using that to voice her feelings/trauma from that day which i love but also PAINN

And yes, Vi, next episode you’re gonna love. And Jinx’s trauma is done so well here. It’s obvious she’s still affected by what happened, the scratches out face of Mylo, even the doll of him and the little one of Claggor. They do such a good job of showing she’s not okay. I saw someone in another post point out that in episode one, the reason we see the little scratch outs of the enforcers is because that scene is from powder’s point of view. Even in that first scene she’s disassociating, and clearly traumatized. She doesn’t react to the dead bodies, but to VI’s crying. Oh they do such a good job.
May I be so bold as to claim that Jinx is even more unhinged than Harley Quinn. And that's saying something since I freaking love Harley, but let's be honest Jinx in on a whole other level.

I'm glad you caught that teleporting gear last episode. When Jayce was a boy, that mysterious guy used magic to teleport him and his mom off a snowy mountain. He recreated that to teleport ships. So in a way, everything he and Victor are working on now is new territory. I am so glad that you picked up on just how soul destroying Powder taking the name Jinx for herself is. Every time someone calls her that has to be a little extra twist of the knife. I love that the female enforcers in Piltdown wear those silly skirts. It really hammers in the difference between how the cops are there, to how they dress in the Undercity - here, they're wearing flouncy, impractical dress uniforms and guarding a fair. Down in the lanes they wear full armour, gas masks and beat people up.

Yessss, people talk about Silco like he is mentally stable enough to recognize that maybe it’s not the best idea to give her explosives and guns. He only wants Jinx to be strong enough so that she could defend herself in a so fucking dangerous world, just as he learnt. Obviously we know it’s not responsible at all, but in Silco’s head makes sense and it’s ok.

I love how you're not afraid to pause the video to talk about it, as well as re-watching scenes as needed. So many reactors never do either, and it would often be a good move (especially pausing, allowing you to elaborate on a point without risking missing something). Also, poor Jayce XD I knew he'd go onto your shit-list when Mel started hitting on him. Poor bastard's just trying to improve lives, he's the prey here :-p And as far as Viktor goes, I'm under the impression that he chooses to not be in the spotlight. The fact that Jayce asked him to come on stage with him and Viktor declined is a pretty good indicator of that. Viktor seems pretty shy and/or introverted, so I imagine the idea of being the face of a revolution of tech terrifies him. I know I wouldn't want my face plastered all over everything like that. Wouldn't be surprised if he's also self-conscious about his bum leg too.

I'm glad you also see just how tragic and traumatic Jinx' life is; a lot of people focus too much on her being "badass" that they glance over just how truly tragic her story is. Great reaction! Also, a little game facts.: the creators have gone on record saying Jinx was originally created with heavy Harley Quinn influence. However, I think that Arcane Jinx has become so much more than just a Harley Quinn replica.

I love the visual shorthand this show uses. Before the timeskip, Victor leaned on a cane. Now he uses a crutch. That is really subtle, and more frightening than his pale face and coughing to me. Also, I might be reading too much into this, but Vi had really short hair when she was young, and so did Powder. But after Vi "abandoned" her, Powder has let her hair grow. I think she was trying to change her look and be less like her sister. I think the tattoos and the belly-baring shirt are probably part of her trying to stand out and make herself look grown-up and confident, to mask her inner anxiety. Could totally be reading too much into that, though.
Jinx's haircut looks like Vi's her when she slapped her. With the same hair back and side bang.

Pretty admirable Elijah didn't know how Jinx would look like beyond the images from the intro, considering Jinx has been literally everywhere online since Arcane premiered
You notice more than 99% of reactors and you don't completely misinterpret what's going on. I love it.
Side note it took them 3 years to find and 4 casting directors to find the perfect voice for jinx. Since shes such a beloved character.

Jinx is one of my all-time favorite protagonists; the way her trauma/mental illness is depicted is so _intense!_ (Also, I'm an absolute sucker for a precious baby who needs to be hugged and protected but is also _incredibly_ dangerous and violent)

Completely agree, Jinx is one of my favorite characters in media I’ve ever come across. Out of all protagonists I’ve seen in video games, tv shows, movies, books-she’s in my top 3 easy. Such an amazingly written character. Ella did a superb job voice acting her too, I’m sure that added to my liking.

something i noticed about Jinx's little audio distraction thing is.that she said "im just a helpless little girl and i set the building on fire! By accident. Totally by accident." Not only is that talking about what she did in the previous (or maybe even the first) episode, i noticed it only starts to get like distorted and turn into her actual voice during the "by accident" part.... As if thats her saying she regrets it? Maybe not regret exactly but she was definitely using that to voice her feelings/trauma from that day which i love but also PAINN

And Jinx’s trauma is done so well here. It’s obvious she’s still affected by what happened, the scratches out face of Mylo, even the doll of him and the little one of Claggor. They do such a good job of showing she’s not okay. I saw someone in another post point out that in episode one, the reason we see the little scratch outs of the enforcers is because that scene is from powder’s point of view. Even in that first scene she’s disassociating, and clearly traumatized. She doesn’t react to the dead bodies, but to VI’s crying. Oh they do such a good job.
May I be so bold as to claim that Jinx is even more unhinged than Harley Quinn. And that's saying something since I freaking love Harley, but let's be honest Jinx in on a whole other level.

I'm glad you caught that teleporting gear last episode. When Jayce was a boy, that mysterious guy used magic to teleport him and his mom off a snowy mountain. He recreated that to teleport ships. So in a way, everything he and Victor are working on now is new territory. I wanted to say that Caitlyn was one of my favorites, but then I started making a list of my favorites from this show and it is VERY top-heavy.

I love that the female enforcers in Piltdown wear those silly skirts. It really hammers in the difference between how the cops are there, to how they dress in the Undercity - here, they're wearing flouncy, impractical dress uniforms and guarding a fair. Down in the lanes they wear full armour, gas masks and beat people up.
