Left 4 Dead 2 has an incredible amount of community support, including but not limited to literally thousands of mods that can drastically change the very nature of the game, and open up new, exciting gameplay opportunities and play styles.
Ads, a good friend, has very kindly compiled a list of mods that accomplish... none of these things.
Being subscribed to you is like getting a lootbox subscription. Except I didn't pay for it and someone is just sending the parcels full of candy to my house with no return address in a very sporadic time frame, and sometimes it's just filled with arsenic for no reason.
Actually, the lootbox subscription is the perfect analogy!
Because you never wanted the contents in the first place, it's always full of tacky shit, it's a waste of environmental resources and at the end of the day it leaves you with a longing sense of disappointment that you partook in this whole Skinner-box fallacy in the first place.
Your yearly upload always incites such a morbid curiosity, to the point I was genuinely scared to watch it. Good job!

Yes, there's a mod of common zombie Koikatsu girls out there, with sound even; they can only say "onni-chan~" no matter what you do. I only really recommend it when if you have a _Four Americans Eliminate Anime_ setup.

My brain's like a rusty chainsaw, and Ads' modlist finally managed to pull the starter cord hard enough for it to sputter to life.
Left 4 Dead 2 is such a magical game where only the core gameplay that remains after heavily modding it is the sole component that reminds you that you are, in fact, playing a zombie shooter and not an entirely different game.
For having never modded L4D2... ever, I think, I was seriously impressed at how well the game held up. Both for a butchered texture-and-model shitfest and also the fact that it's a nigh-on 15-year-old game that still feels more satisfying than countless modern titles when it comes to sheer "shoot thing and thing fall down"-ness.
Ahh man a wonderful showcase of the mods that came from the deepest circle of hell.
