@@chefatron the alt mode is based on the original Predator design, recognizable by engine and fusalage venting placement. Was a brilliant alt mode design even back then, but that old figure uses THAT gold/bronze plastic. Edit to add that even the Robot Mode Torso is based on the Euro G1s shape, and use of (coloured) clear plastic that was so the Predator gimmick had a place to work through in the Robot mode. (Iirc it's purpose correctly)
I'm interested in what Hasbro has planned. They seem to excel when they are using more modern designs than having to stick to G1 cartoon characters. As others mentioned this guy is also an homage to a 90's G1 euro release of the same name. There are a lot of G2 era releases from the past they can give this same treatment too.
The torso design's gonna have to grow on me, not too big of a fan of it for some reason, but besides that, this is a sick figure! I'm definitely gonna try to get him (and Dreadwing when he drops)!

If you strip the wings off and the nose cone you are part of the way to an 1986 Movie Scourge. Weird hybrid of the Euro G1 Original and the Prime version i'd say. The colour seems to match the Cyberverse toy (not that Cyberverse the old one)

He was one of my childhood toys and I cannot put into words how excited I am at the idea of this figure in G1 colours and headsculpt! Also, what’s your definition of “organic”?

They should have designed the feet a bit closer to the original one's. But otherwise he's great. Really love the amalgamation of original Euro-G1 and Prime designs but I hope we'll get him in the Euro-G1 color scheme, too. And the other Predators of course. Try to look through his main thruster in alt mode.

A sign for me that Hasbro put a lot of effort into a figure is ratchet joints gap covers,that could also be because there’s at least three characters this can be recolored into: Dreadwing, Machine Wars Starscream, and King Atlas.

Fantastic looking figure, by the looks of it you could use its transformation joints fo take some butterfly shoulders and maybe even an ab crunch. This Skyquake also seems to take some visual cues from its G1.5\Predator predecessor, would be sweet if we'd eventually get a recolor homaging that bronze-and-neon baddy.
Now that's skyquake oh the figure is big and bulky love his alt mode it's like a heavy artilery fighter jet with 3 thrusters on the back for supersonic speed hopefully they do dreadwing as a repaint

Its influenced by G1.5 Skyquake... which got repainted into MW Starscream. My best guess is they are gonna do the G1.5 retool first thanks to the "megavisor" gimmick and some transformations and excess parts left around.

Ready for something weird? First - the design, and placement of tabs on the arms that rotate the wings onto his back - this plus the hinge setup in just cockpit suggest that the whole thing is meant to sit flush, but you can’t get the landing gear to go all the way into the nose for some reason. Second - if you look into the armature that brings his cockpit behind his back, you’ll notice a random mushroom peg, and it’s functional. It allows the whole cockpit section to spin around. Why is that there? I might have to bust out the screwdriver and really dig into this guy. Also, ratchets on a mainline voyager? Yes please, I’d like some more!

I really loved Skyquake's F-35-inspired alt mode for the original toys. I am not a fan of the odd wedge-shaped Cybertronian plane for this guy. His robot mode looks rad though, so I think I am still going to pick him up - especially if he has some good plastic and his weapons look GREAT. Thanks for the review!

Ready for something weird? First - the design, and placement of tabs on the arms that rotate the wings onto his back - this plus the hinge setup in just cockpit suggest that the whole thing is meant to sit flush, but you can’t get the landing gear to go all the way into the nose for some reason. Second - if you look into the armature that brings his cockpit behind his back, you’ll notice a random mushroom peg, and it’s functional. It allows the whole cockpit section to spin around. Why is that there? I might have to bust out the screwdriver and really dig into this guy.
Also, ratchets on a mainline voyager? Yes please, I’d like some more!

I really enjoyed this one
I really loved Skyquake's F-35-inspired alt mode for the original toys. I am not a fan of the odd wedge-shaped Cybertronian plane for this guy. His robot mode looks rad though, so I think I am still going to pick him up - especially if he has some good plastic and his weapons look GREAT.
