I still can't believe the writers had him take this injury protecting the women who messed up his life once before its insane why not have him do it protecting Alya or Carla or literally anyone else who isn't the woman who he's been a victim of in the past. it'd be like if Carla stepped in front of a bullet meant for Stephen and got crippled as a result.
