This special reworked edit presents all the songs performed by Madonna during the 2 "Tears Of a Clown" concerts, edited altogether as a purely musical concert. No babbling, no ranting, no jokes : Only the music. Completely re-edited using various sources, both pro-shot and fan-shot, this edit aims at presenting an almost coherent Madonna concert out of these two.. "unusual performances", let's leave it at that. All the songs' audio tracks have been remastered, and the whole show has been turned into a black and white presentation, following the look of the clips included in the Rebel Heart Tour blu-ray bonus features.

And she only did two shows... I don't care how old is she, I'd rather pay to see this than 90% of touring artists today. Among the best she did in her entire career.
She was in great shape....that spin that she did in high heels.

I was lucky to attend her Tears Of A Clown show in Melbourne , a huge thank you to my friend who lives in United States Of America , she won tickets to the show n sent my name without telling me yet. I am forever grateful and flew from Singapore to see the show. It was very emotional to me , she was very emotional too. I love the tracks that never performed before or hardly perform. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I would love a tour of small venues (like Madame X tour) with all B sides - songs she has never ever performed live. Like Physical Attraction!!! (at least I have never seen her do that song, my 1st show was Blond Ambition)

This is a brilliant amalgamation of 2 truly inspired performances, offering a glimpse of the Madonna we rarely see. The depth of humanity portrayed here is a testament to the genius of this truly amazing artist. One of her best works and like the Blonde Ambition Tour, not available on blu-ray or DVD. How crazy is that?

The Tears of a Clown 2 shows will always be remembered as the time she decided to step out of her comfort zone and try something different.
She was so tired in the Miami show and it reflected in her vocals.
She was going through a tough time with her son Rocco at the time and people close to her say that she was inconsolable.

Does anyone know what prompted M to do this show? It’s an interesting idea but not fully realised. It seems like it was put together on the fly. The clown idea didn’t go anywhere other than the first song and her costume. I assume she was alluding to the idea that all performers are like clowns at heart. I’d be interested to understand more about this show and her thoughts around it. The audience certainly got to attend a rare one of a kind type of event which must have been exciting for them and they have good memories of being there.
Part of it at least was designed as a special gift to the Aussie fans for her being away for so long----and for getting so virulently angry when she cancelled the MDNA leg. I personally think the "sadness/broken, drunk/no f*ks to give " vibe she's giving off is from what Rocco was putting her thru at the time....my opinion of course.
It was planned but very poorly. She seemed to obsess over costuming more than singing quality. It was in conjunction with Art Basil in Miami she raised 7.5 million for her charity Raising Malawi. Tickets were minimum $5000 and up to $150,000 and there was a silent auction. Sean Penn was in attendance that evening. She was most definitely Sad about her son Rocco at the time.

Nice to watch the full show, although I'm not a fan of it, and I think most of it looks like a mistake, but ok, if to take it as it is and a part of madonna's work, it's nice..
I think it's better to see this show as a gift to her fans, an addition to her main tour. Because of course it's not like her usual performances, it's just a special show where she sang songs she doesn't usually sing. Not my cup of tea too, but still nice to watch it in such a high quality
I thought she was wasted and drunk through most of the show. I feel it was a very depressing show, and I thought she was kind of distant from the audience and just sort of kind of acting wasted. I guess that's the tone she wanted, but it's not really my taste. 20 depressing songs in a row is a little much dressed in a scary clown suit that would make a child scream.

I'm glad I got a chance to see this. I hadn't heard of this concert before.It's like a Trip-Hop show. I love Madonna, but on some of the songs she sounds exhausted and out of breath and she's not even dancing much here. It was very evident on "Express Yourself" I am assuming the sort of movement and dancing she is doing is supposed to appear like some kind of depressing and mysterious and like one of those scary clowns that kids cry over and people have phobias of. Her look her reminds me of Bette Davis in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"

This is far better than her concert tours (I mean the setlist here is so much better)
....AND the whole two shows were her actually singing live.
Her REAL voice, live into the microphone and played to the audience, something she hadn't done fully in a show since 1987!... and hasn't done again since.

Can anyone from the production team give a hood reason why this was never properly promoted before the release date.... I belive the atmosphere of this performance was the birth of the Madame X tour concept. I still see no reason they didn't promote this properly.

Promotion is not only intended to raise sales or bring in more cash. The fuss around this gig would be the real cash-out of any Promotion... goals are not always reached by obvious and rapid results but by gathering attention from a wider audience. Should that be an underground avant-garde session, Promotion would be a total loss. Now for a pop concert on the other hand....

How did she restrain herself from killing both that idiot girl that giggled and the guy doing the wolf whistles in between the last lines of "Mer Girl?" That is perhaps the most raw, personal, and profound song she's ever written. Though those are the very reasons I can't fathom why she chose to perform it here. Is it just me or does it almost seem like it went over better in front of a stadium?

Sometimes I wonder if it shouldn’t be the right of the artist to decide if a live event is to be captured via another medium and made permanent, made into something else entirely, for the rest of eternity, reflecting on and representing them. She wanted to do something special for Australian fans, who had waited for decades to see her live again. I’m sure it was an exhilarating experience for all in attendance and for Madonna. Watching it like this, however, makes me very sad...

I cut out ALL her speeches, that's the very point point of this edit, as *clearly written* : a musical show only. Only songs, no speeches, no jokes. You trying to make a big deal about one of her many speeches being about "native americans" is just ridiculous. As for the song being cut, it's because no footage of the whole thing exists. This is an edit trying to recreate the whole show but a few seconds are missing here and then.

You’ve got to have an understanding of what the concept is. This is exactly the type of shows that were performed in the dive bars in clubs in the early 70’s and 80’s clubs. Just the type of thing she would’ve done before she “made it big”. BTW still the types of shows that are still performed today if you’re lucky enough to find them. This is performance art at its finest. I absolutely love this.
