  • In the video, you’ll see the score on the right-side of the screen, and on the left side you’ll see me playing along to a pre-recorded sound file performed by pianist Nick Weiser, who’s an Assistant Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at SUNY Fredonia. Nick recorded this piano track to an automated Garage Band file I sent to him, so there is some degree of us each interacting to the musical impulses of the other.
Our friend, Matt Podd (www.mattpodd.co..., produced & mixed the video.
    The sonata has 4 movements:
    I. Generously (0:12)
    II. Vigorously, joyously dancing (3:56)
    III. Enigmatically (8:25)
IV. Growing luxuriantly & exuberantly (12:33)
This Sonata is dedicated to Ann Kennedy.
