- Introducing the Boruit V15 to the US Market. I ordered the Boruit V15 a couple of months ago from Aliexpress, as it was not yet available on Amazon at the time. It is available on Amazon now, as of Nov 22nd 2023. Both Aliexpress and Amazon links will be below.
Anyway, the Boruit V15 is a larger variation, with a 1200 mAh battery, and listed at 1200 lumens. As with all previously tested Boruit flashlights, its closer to being 50%, or 600 lumens. The Boruit V15 does not have a UV light at all, but now has a movable head, and a steel clip. The Boruit also has a stronger and larger magnet, and keychain opening compared to its previous versions.

I ordered the Boruit V15 model after watching your video. Thanks for this comparison. I went with Boruit V15 specifically because of the swivel function. It adds a new dimension to focus the light at the right spot.
My Boruit V15 arrived yesterday and I am very pleased with it. A comment regarding the USB C charging port. I think your flashlight may have build/quality control issue since mine has a standard usb c port and it works with any standard USB C cable.

It's the thickness of the type c cable that interferes with the case of the flashlight.

I have a couple of these and for the price they are pretty amazing. A small note on the lumens, each main emitter is 600 lumens. I am not an expert but I think it's just a way they can market it as 1200 lumens. Still plenty bright compared to the lights I grew up with!
I figure they are close to half their rated value.

Appreciate the review and found it extremely informative. Just one question: how do you take the clip off?
It pops off with a light pry. I usually use my tisur prybar or flat head screwdriver
The V3 is perfectly sized to live with my keys and is easy to EDC. The V15 looks perfect for a car's emergency kit. Also, does a secondary 3 click bring it straight to red/blue blink mode like the V3 does?

I don't know, man. I feel like they missed the mark with the V15. They should've made the head swivel to a full 90° so you can actually clip it to your jacket, backpack strap or whatever as a front-facing light. As it is now, with the limited swivel angle it's really only useful if you clip it to a hat but if that's your primary use for the light, you might as well just get an actual headlamp. 🤷♂
I also don't understand why they crippled the V15 by removing the blue and green side light as well as the UV light. Sure, those are fairly gimmicky, but I'm absolutely certain that someone somewhere has a practical use for those and the feature-richness of the V3 and V10 is what actually makes them so great for EDC. The V15 kinda falls short on that front IMO.
Its not a perfect light my any means, but it is an improvement from what I look for in an edc flashlight. I use the UV lights quite a lot for work, both checking cash, but also checking if certain products are ours, when they need to be returned for one reason or another.
V 20 is what you are looking for

Thank you very much for this video. I'm glad I bought v15 instead of v10. I've had the V3 for a year now and since I bought it, my expensive flashlights haven't left the drawer. I don't know if the v15 will replace my v3 because of portability, but it will certainly stay in the car or bag

Thanks! Just ordered the V15 instead of the V10. Uv seems like a one time gimmick, the clip and rotating head seems much more useful.

Uv is useful if you travel, you never know how dirty a hotel room is until you use one.
The 400-150 lumens thing probably mean that it'll start at 400 lumens and slowly go down to 150 usually takes less than 5 minutes.
I don't own any model of these but I owned some AliExpress flashlight and some of them do that and some don't. So I can't say for sure but I think that's what they meant.
Edit: I know that flashlights have some dropoff but the ones I'm talking about are a bit extreme.

When I bought my V3 you could have ONE SINGLE FRONT LIGHT/LED ON OR DUAL, now it is stuck on DUAL, do you know how to RESET the front LEDS back to factory RESET? Really annoying how temperamental it is to activate DUAL Front Leds and not drop the function back to SINGLE Front LED ONLY
So that is odd. I have 11 V3's and they are all dual leds on or off, not just one.

Its negligible, plus there are so many variables to light output that what I can record would be different for everyone else.

No. The issue is light output has many variables. Including altitude, air temperature, reflector type, battery voltage, and 73 other variables. The difference of 100 lumens is negligible, especially if you don't know how to quantify a Lumen to begin with.
I think both Rovyvon and Wuben are not happy with Boruit, when they take their ideas and make money with them. But it's great for us, i have bought 2 of each V3, V10 and V15, but given all V3 and V10s to my family and friends, the last 4-6 months. Today i got a double pack of V15 and getting used to it. I used my V10 more than my squared Rovyvon E8, because the price and quality is just good.

V10 has the issue with the usb cable also. Some of my cables just don’t fit properly.

So turbo cannot stay constant??
No. Turbo mode make the light very hot, it only works as a momentary switch. If held on, the battery of the lights will only last a few mins.
v3 is a masterpiece, v10 is pointless and annoying, accidentally triggering the beeping alarm is very dangerous in some situations, v15 looks PERFECT
The V15 is nearly perfect. I would have preferred the UV light over the warm white led, but the steel clip and flexible head make it significantly more useful to me anyway.
kinda disagree, have the v10 & yes the alarm is useless but if u have a bit of a brain and no gorilla hands u wont activate it on accident, near impossible to be accurate, v3 uv light is a joke compared to the v10, battery life on the v3 is kinda sad too. - i was about to order the v3 instead of the v10 and then i saw the battery is 50% smaller & the uv light is not very bright.

Nope, 10 weeks from aliexpress. After going through customs, it took a tour through 31 states before ending in North Carolina. The distribution center is 4 miles away, and still took 4 days more to get to my door.
