  • The people of Searsport and Penobscot Bay have a long history of going to sea. In letters, diaries, logbooks, photos, newspaper articles, and stories passed down through generations, they recorded their experiences. Quiet days, adventure, tragedy, and heroism each take their turn. This third edition of “Stories from the Spirits of Sea-Goers” features tales based on true experiences and recorded by Penobscot Marine Museum volunteers and staff.
    Featuring...
    * Deb Nowers as Harriet Maria Erskine Gilmore Pendleton who knew too well the dangers of life at sea
*Cipperly Good as Celia Maria Blanchard whose brother, Hollis Blanchard captained the SS PORTLAND that went down in the terrible 1898 winter storm
*Emilie Gruchow as Clara Nichols, the promising opera singer raised in Searsport and lost too soon
*Anne Bernstein as a clown on board the ROYAL TAR, a steamship carrying a menagerie that burned as it crossed Penobscot Bay in 1836
