wow... the red circle thing you do to indicate areas where you see a possible composition, and making it happen, is sooo immersive and so similar to my approach to street photography. Its so encouraging to see a seasoned photographer such as yourself doing the same..❤
I love how you take the time to explain. Awesome shots and video! Just beautiful
I love how patient you are with photos!
Great video. Just watching this gets me excited to go out and take photos like you do. Thanks.
Dude I always enjoy your work, it speaks for itself. And I really appreciate how you explain compositions and give advice. I think that's what sets you apart as a street photographer on CZcams and that's awesome. Keep it up bro, cheers!
I have just moved to Lisbon and can honestly say after being in many countries this is one of the most fun places for photography interested.
👌 your best ever , brings back so many happy memories of Lisboa our favourite city break by a mile
Beautiful shots and grateful for the great explanation!
What a fantastic video! Beautiful town and great shots. It appears to be a tourist attraction with all the gorgeous scenery. Love this video!!!
Its so good to see Lisbon from another perspective.
Thanx for sharing your photos. The mood is so amazing and 35mm has its own feeling which made me to buy that one
THX a lot for these wonderful fototour through Lisbon!
OMG! Im from portugal and I've never see portugal with such a great look. you capture your frames with a beautiful magic and omg no words
Thank's for wonderful tour in Lisboa. I have been there many times. Strolling around on and of during vacations since 1974. Still love that city, people and all the restaurants. I'm a swede but my heart is in portugal. Next time I can walk around and see things with new eyes. Thank's again.
Loved the pace with this video, photos are usually impressive and no exceptions. Keep it up! 👍
really enjoy the POV in general! always thanks for sharing!
Some really cool architecture and alleys, trams adding beauty to it.
Absolutely stunning photos Roman, well, as always!!! 👌
Great photos! Nice walk around in old Lisbon! Also my playground for street photography.
I am more into landscape photography, and so was wondering how amusing this video could be! I actually loved it! Great shots and very pleasing colours, loved the film simulation you made.
Very enjoyable and even quite instructive video, given the cool pics and valuable insights into your technique. You should do more of these POVs, Roman.
Great video Roman! Lisbon looks great! cant wait to travel and you got some great shots!
nice video, great ideas again, love your stuff, opens my eyes to alternatives
Awesome mate. Love your stuff... and you're inspiring!
I've done some street photography in Lisbon on a holiday week, mainly as practice and this video taught me I don't need to be so close to the subject. I struggled with a lot of photos because I was too close to everything.
Practice makes perfect.
Excellent.
Quite happy I found your channel.
Very informative and enjoyable to watch.
Thanks for sharing 🎉
I don’t know why but i recon this is my favorite video by far.
Love how the photos have turned out.
Loved all the colors. and loved your mom willing to help out.
Cheers Jon!
Lisbon is a shooter's paradise, it’s hard to get a bad shot, it has always been one of my favourites.
Looked like a fantastic trip, great shots!!
All your photos and videos VLOGS are just awesome, way better than any other I've seen... I think the woman in gold was truly a gift to your composition, super awesome...
Incredible photos! Makes me wanna travel!
This was fun. I love the colors of the city. It makes everything pop!
Cheers! yeah it is beautiful there
What a beautiful city..thanks for taking me around Roman.
Glad you enjoyed it
Have been following your videos. Being a Lisboner (house built by my family in 1680 in Alfama, a few yards from some of your pictures) I of course enjoyed this one
Amazing pictures, lisbon really reminds me of Genoa and Ligurian coast in general
Great video, I'm going to Lison at the end of January for 3 days to do street photography, it looks amazing.
Loved the photos Roman! That girl standing when the tram passed by was so good! Made me think about how I should wait a bit more in some spots to watch things happen 👌
Thoroughly enjoyed this!!
You can watch any number of videos that try to compare focal lengths, but this is the best approach. Maybe the first time I truly got a sense of what a ~50 looks like in practice. (I usually shoot wide.) It really helps to have the walk-around cam for context before the shots. Thanks.
What a beautiful city never been on v much on the list - love the shot at 3.29 my type of image mainly about the surroundings with someone in pic for perspective in this case a silhouette - all the best with your current trip to Istanbul and your new life style Roman 👍🙏🏼
amazing images! I've pretty much stopped using all my other lenses and stuck with the 35mm f2. It means sometimes missing the shot, but then again I am training myself to look and move differently. And, if nothing else, my images are more consistent. There's something to be said for the "one lens, one body" ethos!
Nice work! Enjoyed watching. Thank you!
All the photos were fantastic, but the one of the guy on the tram with the 2nd tram behind was FIRE!
Been to Lisbon three times and planning to retire there someday. It is my favorite European city. On my last visit, I had day trips planned be never did them as I was having too much fun in Lisbon, with the history, food, wine, architecture, people, walking around and photographing it. I can understand why you need a long lens which I carry when I travel, you can put it to use in Lisbon. For example, the exteriors of Mosteiro dos Jeronimos in Belem are richly decorated. I use my long zoom lens to isolate something that caught my eye, for example, a statue or plaque I found on of the monastery's walls. Or maybe the monastery's stain glass windows.
Thanks for sharing your video.
Loved the photos! I've missed this city!
11:11 "Prazeres", means pleasures.
Such as your videos are, a true pleasure to watch!
So glad one of my fav street ph CZcamsrs came to Lisbon. Hope you enjoyed it and hopefully you'll come back and visit. Would happily pay for a workshop In my home town. Cheers my man!
All those great spots are framed really well! I really want to go back to Lisboa now…
Cool seeing your pics of lisbon as i did a photo walk there as well but with a6000. I use xt4 now also with 35 but f1.4
Lovely place thank you for sharing.
Wow, your photos are absolutely stunning
Lisbon has the most amazing light in Europe.
The closing image with the pink, green and yellow is just beautiful!
Thank you!! 🙏
Ok. I just stumbled across your channel and let me tell you, you're amazing and these shots are amazing. I'm in love ❤️
2:32 I literally said "wow" out loud. I'm having an XT-2 delivered today and can't wait to start shooting with it. Your videos are a big inspiration.
My favorite video yet 👌👌👌
You're one of the few channels (I know of) that explain and show the compositional aspect of things. Thank you so much! I'm gonna get my first "decent" camera soon and I think it'll be the Fuji XT30 ii with this 35mm f2 lens for hobbyist photography, vibey pics (film sim), Instagram etc.
Down the line, probably a Sony ZV-E10 for video and content creation stuff
Get the fujifilm X-s10 if you want to do video too, the IBIS works really well.
Welp. You just helped me make my decision for my next solo street photography trip lol. Thank you 🙏🏼
My hometown LIsbon! Very nice photos. I like your videos.
You definitely did Lisbon justice! Hope you come back soon 👏
Really nice shots hope you enjoy your time in my city
So inspirational again as always : I sold my new 16-80 , my also new ricoh GR II and my 35 mm f2 to buy primes as a new and old fashioned 35 mm f1,4 and a 23 mm f2 to force me to shoot like you do here, to work with my eyes not my gears, a narrow choice to force me to find solutions .I hesitate to just buy the 16-55 f2,8 but I realized that such a bulky tool will prevent me to shoot all day . Hope I made the right choice . Thanks again for your work that inspire me all day.
Hope you have a great time in Lisbon! 🇵🇹🙏
Some stunning photos here mate. nice vid!
I love the: I got enough of waiting I will ask my mum instead 🤣🤣 love the photo walk in Lisbon, thanks 🙏
I was in the exact same location a few days before you Roman!. I had a go at some street photography especially around the old town and down on the river front. Bit of a change from my usual landscape work! Got one or two images that I like….. However I found it really hard work as there is simply not enough time to “prepare” to take the photo.. The other thing I didn’t think about was burst mode….. In a lot of my shots I missed the “moment”…. Still we learn something every day…. Cheers
A great place for street photography
You got some nice ones there
I'd love to revisit 📷👍
Wow. That's Exactly What I want... Color... So Vivid
I love this town ….. we stay 2 weeks with my wife 4 years ago ….. great and very cooool city for living and pictures. 👍
Yea seriously, what a beautiful spot. Nice shots dude.
I like this !!!!!!!!!!! fantastic
Great shots Roman
Lovely, wish I was there.
Lisbon is great I love that city. Hopefully I can come back soon .....greetz from 🇩🇪
You took amazing pictures, profited a lot from our city's colours and light... I'd just question the 'foggy' look you gave to some of them... I found it strange... overall, loved it, and love your channel! I'm seriously considering a 35mm f2 for myself. Cheers!
wow these tiny streets with 🚊 trams, it's so cool. 😳 love your style and maaaaan xf 35mm f2, pure love. 😢 I bought these lens because of your review. I was choosing between 23mm and 35mm and in the ends decided that 35mm will be better as my first lens for all purposes.
I love this one. The fact that you did some explanation as well was amazing.
And I am biased cause I love Lisboa and Portugal. I shall be back this winter if Cov(v)d permits :).
Absolutely killer photos in such a photogenic city! Really inspiring stuff!
This video kinda makes me consider to get rid of the 33mm f1.4 and buy me a 35mm f2 again just for its size..
Lovely shots mate!
Very nice photos and colors.
im stopping the video so many times just to aprecciate your photos
Nice man! I've lived in that city for 2 years. But back then I didn't have a camera. Going back in two weeks for a week to take all the photographs that I have in mind. Such an amazing city.
Cheers! ah I would love to live there for a bit. Hoping next year. Yeah also by then it would be less touristy whilst till having good weather! Hope you have a blast!
I lived there from 2001-2006, Campo Grande and Carcavelos: no camera, no pics. Moved back to London bought a dSLR and been hooked ever since. I have fantastic memories of the place, and continued to visit 2007-2019 once or twice/year, with camera. 😍
Nice to watch the video :) I was curious to see your approach to the city
Cheers!
Well done Roman not only nice photos but som sensible music
Yes a new Roman Fox video. Let’s take a moment, relax and learn😎🍀
too kind, Cheers Rick
@@snapsbyfox cheers Roman. Keep up the good work 👌🏻
Wow i did the exact same picture (last one). Literally same same!
Brought back wonderful memories of Lisbon and one negative one. At 3:00 the woman seems to be wiping dogshit off her foot. Everywhere we walked in Lisbon we dodged dogshit. But it’s a truly beautiful city.
I really like the way you pull down clarity. Together with your colour treatment, gives your photos a cinematic effect.
Learned a lot.
really nice video, keep the good content. lisbon is one of my favorite city in europe. you missed pictures of the old grannys laying out of the windows :)
And this is why I subscribed
Wow not even finished and some of these photos are so so good. Not fancied Lisbon but there’s so many unique areas, colours and shadows. 👌🏻👌🏻
Cheers! yeah it's a beautiful town
Another terrific video, I love the animated red circle to draw attention to your focal point. Also love your explaining how you plan to set up the photo shoot scenes. I do have a question, what shutter speed do you find adequate for freezing the movement you strive to capture like the moving people or street cars? Or do you let the A setting take care of that? If so what f-stop do you typically set the lens at for most of these scenes?
So cool. Stunning place! Some great snaps there! Seemed so quiet and relaxing too.. no sheep tho! 😂
Cheers man! Yeah not a sheep or cloud inversion in sight haha
2:13 is a really nice catch!
Wow I just got the same setup with the XT4 and 35mm f2.0 lens I hope i'm able to take photos like these Roman!
no doubt, even better ones!
When you come back you need to head towards Belem but through the streets in Santos near the French Embassy.
Been for a walk&shoot there today and found plenty of interesting subjects.
Will do, cheers!
Really cool photos - Maybe you could put up the image info like shutter speed & F Stop?
i didn't take enough photos when we were in Lisbon a couple of years ago. Took a ton in Porto though.
Great images & lovely tones! What focus mode were you using during your walk around? You always just seemed to point the camera and hit focus every time without moving focus points about.
