I had read this. Though this they will kill Karnataka's state owned cooperatives and kill the little income source that the state has under its control. And turn Karnataka's finances to the control of the center. They have already destroyed out state owned banks which had no NPAs. It is very rare for a milk federation from other states to compete with the indigenous milk federation of the state. The success will come only with the help of certain special treatments, support & concessions accorded by the local federation at the behest of certain vested interest.
Amul started making inroads in Karnataka since 2015. This venture is still young in common business parlance. Is there any other instance of Amul or other state MF trying to parallelly market their products and able to secure such large market share in a short period of 8 years. This obviously would have come at the expense of Nandini.
Of course in free market consumer decides what to buy. The point here is wheather a particular brand is promoted by deliberately obstructing another competitive product. Needle of suspecion is tilted by the opposition parties.
It would be interesting to know how and why Amul chose and be able to record significant growth in Karnataka. It may also have similar plans for other states but with little success. 🤠

It is not about Amul entering Karnataka. They have been selling their products like butter since 80s or 90s. What they r trying to do is hijack or swallow the KMF under it's own brand. This is being done like how they did to many profit making and well managed banks from Karnataka like State Bank of Mysore or Karnataka Bank, Canara Babk, Vijaya Bank. Karnataka and southern India has a rich banking culture that served customers n provided employment locally.
Our State banks didn't even have any major NPAs and then they swallow our banks into their loss making banks.
