thanks for sharing the recipe. I tried the recipe & working great, I replace white sugar with brown sugar. Turn out super delicious, but I cover the pan with foil, and it turned even great looking.
So nice of you to share :) I just made it following your recipe, the only change I made is I replaced the 110gr sugar by 2 ripe bananas, I smashed them into a puree and added, they are in the steamer now looks and smells delicious! :))

I have tried making Bai Tang Gas three or four times and each failed. This is the first time I had success. First time using banking powder.. Even tried ramekins. All worked.

Very good! Do you have to steam it in the big bowl first AND THEN pour it into the smaller cups or do youchoose whether you want to use the big bowl or the small bowl? I am kind of confused. 😅

150ml = 150g water. It is the same weight.

What is the best temperature of sugar liquid before we pour it into the batter
Pour the hot sugar liquid to the batter. after then you can ferment in the room temperature at least one hour or place in the fridge in the upper, most coldest space for overnight and take it out in room temperature go straight for steaming, and you must pour cold water in a rice cooker or steamer, medium high heat, not high heat, the mini bowl ones shown in the video, steam for 20 minutes , depends on the size of your cake pan. Hope this helps!

Yes. You can just skip that, it's worked too.
What's the possible reason when thou have a sticky rice cake after you steam it?

Sure. After the mixture is done, you can place it in the upper or second rack in the fridge overnight and take it out to room temperature, don't forget to add the baking powder not baking soda and let sit for 10-15 minutes and steam until done. (Pour cold water no need to preheat the steamer before steaming).
can you bake it instead of steam it?

I'd tried but failed and was advised to get the rice flour written in red @ 3 elephants 水磨粘米粉 yet i still failed. It came out like starch. Can anyone help?
Wong SH this recipe is not correct. It is just a show! There are more steps to do than just put all of the ingredients together, wait, then steam. You should go to the other chanel to che k out this recipe. This cake is hard to make not like in this clip. The whole thing is just a lie!
Hello, I made this and it turned out nicely.
This video is not good enough for beginner, no clear explanation. Sugar syrup shoud be cool to room temperature. Ferminted in heated oven may kill the yeast. I normally cover air tight and just leave the mixture in a warm place. It is better to view a few videos and read comments before you decide which one to follow.
@@EllenEngie Sugar syrup pour while is hot, not cool. The fermentation is in the warm oven under 40C.

The white sponge cake wet on top can be a several reasons, the temperature and fermentation is not right and not longer enough, the steamer problem and steaming not properly.
i want to make it smooth, softer. the texture is fine but the store bought ones are a little more smooth/soft and seems to have a glaze on top.

Follow exactly the recipe for the first time, if you succeed then double the recipe.
when you put the baking soda ,got stir it?
baking powder, not baking soda. before steaming add 1/2 tsp baking powder, and ferment for another 5-10 minutes and then steam over medium high heat for about 25 minutes. small bowl only steam for 13-15 minutes. Cool completely before slicing.

150g same as 150ml of water.
I used a grams scale, and place a cup, press zero, then pour the water until 150g.

What kinda yeast that you use?
I used Allinson Easy Bake Yeast and Tesco Dried Yeast, both are worked perfectly.
You showed us steam in big plate for 25 mins then poured in small cups, but after 25 mins steam the liquid already set , can’t pour anymore, why?
