- On my video a few days days ago, we determined that no matter who shoots Captain Keyes, you will get teleported back to the room and be trapped in there with invincible marines that want to kill you. But thanks to a tip from you guys, I tried it out to see if we can in fact get away with killing Captain Keyes.

This gives the ending a whole new context. A scared marine tries to escape Chief, but instead he and the entire squad in the lifepod are taken hostage by rogue Spartan and forced to crash land on Halo, purposefully killed in the process.

Apply Salt To Wound The theory is that he didnt take a seat for some odd reason, and when they crashed, his two ton titanium body fucked up the entire interior, and bludgeoned half the marines to death. You are knocked out, so you dont see like the three marines outside crawl out into the open, and die with a shit ton of blood everywhere from being bludgeoned.
I actually thought that they died from sheer impact, because I dont think the boats were designed to go with a spartan.
You can see that the pilot starts to lose control, theyre "going in too fast" in the opening cutscene. Probably because they have the unexpected weight of two fucking metric tons. Like, almost every other pod is okay, except for like a few I think who probably died when they got out, and were shot by Covenant, (If Im right, because I think the only pods with dead marines outside besides your own are the ones whos survivors are hiding from the covenant. Like, the first group with Johnson doesnt have any dead marines outside, just some ammo and blood, Im pretty sure.)

There is a way to kill Keyes and get away with it on the Truth and Reconciliation without cheats. Throw a plasma grenade on him right before you activate the escape Covenant drop ship at the end of the level. Cortana will go through her little speech about Keyes being dead while the drop ship still smashes the Hunters and escapes. You will also see Keyes dead before the escape cut-scene takes over.
It's interesting how Halo 1 allows u to kill your own Allies. Most games restrict u, especially with bigger roles, authoritative figures, and by restrict I mean in a way by making them "bullet reflectors" so even if you shoot them, it wouldn't kill them. I like how they added little side scripts/dialogues for player's curiosity of breaking the rules.
I mean.. you do end up killing him anyway by punching him through his* face, and escaping the ring, soooo. :P
Both the Covenant and the Flood barge into the room moments later to see you standing in front of a murdered Keyes. They caught you red-handed (er... brown handed? ew).
Similarly they try to kill you for the rest of the mission, even if they were doing that beforehand anyway. xD

My favorite thing about the mod that lets you freeze time, I used to put on infinite ammo, got a needler, froze time, walked in circles around enemies and gave them a halo of pink death, unfroze them and watched all hell break loose

I have a challenge: In halo 4 the mission shutdown, you are in a hanger. The challenge me and my friend is to kill everyone in the hanger ( I always kill Conan O'Brien first) on legendary mode. I advise co op on this.

I absolutely love the Dev Trainer for CE. Freeze time is one of my favourites, you can get up to so many shenanigans if paired with the infinite ammo mod. But stuff like superjump and invincibility really lets you explore the game where it wasn't meant to be explored, which is really cool to me.

I did this and your friend just gets teleported in to the bridge.
dev mode is already in halo ce you don't need to do anything but when you search up halo on the windows search bar thing, right click on halo and go to open file location, then it will take you to a folder with the "Halo Developer Mode" shortcut in it

Probably more to do with this being the first game, and them retconning a history with Chief, then adding 4 games with her and Chief. She was originally supposed to be the main villain. Also, it was 2001. Back then, FPS developers usually gave players the opportunity to fuck up like this. If you end up playing like a psycho, there was usually some audio lines or it wouldn’t be game over in most cases.

Ok so a few ironic things is that, it's funny how Keyes is supposed to be this super important character, and yet people have tried for so long to find out how to kill him. And second is that if you could kill him canonically the flood probably couldn't take his memories and stuff and the whole game would be different
Hey General Heed, I know this is an old video, but it gave me an idea I think you could try out, if it interests you. At the end of the level Keyes, you grab one of two Banshees which flies like a Pelican and can travel through walls. If you can freeze time like you did in this video as to avoid triggering the ending cutscene, perhaps you could explore behind various locked doors near the shuttle bay?

Someone should recreate the “Halo Beta” creepypasta as a mod, which follows the alternate story of Halo where the player successfully kills Keyes and gets away with it, leading to an alternate outcome for the rest of the game and a very different ending.
One more flavor: can you Rescue captain keys while he is captured by flood? Everybody did before but it always fail but still continue the story line (after you have reach to the captain keys but captain keys already became flood and story turn to escape the covenant ship and go back to the crash ship (pillar of autumn) activate explosives of the ship escape and the end)

Today on Halo CE with Generalkidd, we kill Jacob Keyes using ZA WORUDO
SPv3's PoA also allows you to make all marines your enemies, by picking up a skull that's really easy to get around the same point. So, your challenge can be started on SPv3 without any additional cheat or mod, and without murder.
Ah, the video game cruelty potential...And punishment. Gotta love it!
