Gears of War 3 | Beast Mode Insane Difficulty Without Failing a Wave (Coop)

- S1ippery Jim shows you a four player game of Beast mode in Gears of War 3 in which we were able to complete the game on insane difficulty without failing a wave (or resorting to Berserkers!).
This was a piece of cake even with only four players so if you are having difficulty with this I recommend checking this video out for our strategy. I think the lowest the clock ever got down to was 19 seconds on wave 4, and we had more than 2 mins left at the end of some rounds!
This also unlocks the Savage Theron character skin and the Cog Killer Onyx medal for Beast mode. - Hry

pro tip : you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.

7 years later, and still no beast mode in gears after 3
They could easily add it to gears 5
They could've, but no they didn't. For some reason the Coalition felt that Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 didn't need it. Man both of those games are a big flop. Gears 5 isn't even a finished game. *BIG BRAIN TIME*
@@evilchuck4679 It's annoying as fuck too, because there's a brief "Beast Mode" sequence during the campaign, so the code, animations, etc. are there, they just aren't using them for anything other than that 2-minute power trip.

Not in the game unfortunately and I don't think they have any desire to bring it back considering what happened with judgement. It was fun while it lasted tho

It's an unfinished game, filled with bugs. They are banking on micro-transactions and have held back on most of the content. I got it basically for free with that game pass $2 monthly trial. I would have been pissed if I paid $60 or $80 for this trash. But feel free to give them your money! They are banking on morons like you.
I enjoyed beast mode, and I even liked overrun in judgement. I wish these two modes would return for Gears 5

They could easily add this amazing gamemode to gears 5, if you look at Jack's hijack ability, it's clear controls for most all of the creatures are already in the game.
Yeah that should save them a ton of work. I played horde with him and basically all they need to add are some big swarm characters. Maybe like a matriarch since they used the berserker in gears of war 3
What do they care they're too focused on making a bad game that's their own rather than taking good ideas from devs that had to work to get their IPs accepted by publishers. The coalition did NOT work for or EARN their place to develop gears they were requisitioned a BIG difference

I did it with two people. It was hard, but still very possible. Just need to know what units to use and which ones to avoid.

Use lots and lots of tickers. Dash frequently and stay behind cover. Detonate BEFORE running into laser barriers. Try to distribute the splash of your ticker explosion to multiple targets. Use a Kantus to heal, ink and provide gun support. Savage Grenadiers work really well with the Kantus. Down a swarm with ink, finish with grenade. Same with Boomer/Digger. Armored Kantus can roll into barriers to take them down. Glad that we were able to do this with only 4. Need harder difficulty.
Beast is the best mode ever, it should return in gears 5

Man, I was only missing Team Shaman for the all-ribbons achievement.
He's right about them bunching up. Those stranded will pretty much host a circle jerk in one of two locations on this map. I even used this map to boost wretch kills in less than an hour.

I don't know if you were aware of that, but with the Ticker (I'm not sure if with the Wild Ticker as well) you can actually run faster with the run button, it makes it runs quicker for like 1-2 seconds and you can do it every 4-5 seconds

nice vid, I learned alot from it. I didn't know you can get extra time by destroying cog equipment (like @ 11:20 ) -.- i just stood around doing nothing when i couldn't find enemies, therefore my team and I failed miserably 4 times in a row.
Well, I would have added an extra COG class called the leader. The leader, Erza Loomis would be this character and they would give a team wide boost as special ability for health and damage. The weapons would a Lancer with a Scorcher.
At the end you should be able to play as Queen myrrah
We should add a Corpser just for fun. I also want to customize my Locust cosmetically. But for some reason, GOW can't do that.
I wish we had Mutators for the Campaign on GOW:J. That would have made the game so much easier.

i struggled till i unlocked berserker, then it was just boring and easy. but untill you unlock it, its VERY difficult
One point of advice....
Always stick to the same route when attacking the Cog. I have seen many split and branch off into another direction of attack causing the team to fail. Always rush the grenade area when playing Beast on this map. Not sticking together is one of the best ways to fail here.

i remember attempting this on split screen with my cousin we did it but we died like a 100 times he had the beserker and i always used the iron kantus

Overrun is a great game mode but it feels a little unfinished though. I have some ideas that can make it much better.

I know this is from 10 years ago and no one might be reading this but I remember seeing they were gonna add a rever, I think maybe a palace guard with a lancer or turk bow I'm sorry I can't remember. And a locust Minor.

The Boomer taking a long time to load makes sense because he takes a long time when the roles are reverse. If anything I think they should have also made it so when you hit the trigger button he says Boom and then the Boomshot fires. But that's just me.

A RAAM type Locust could have been great for Beast but EPIC failed to do that back in GOW3.
The best map for beast is checkout, the smallest map in GoW 3. I complete it on beast almost every time
I completed it with me and a friend and won on insane ( it took like 2 hours) and we were trying to get the savage theron (complete all dificultys all 12 rounds) but it didn't work
Over 400k+ views on this ONE video and became irrelevant years later. Damn. Still one of the most legendary Gears 3 video ever though.
Overrub could have been more fun if they added the missing Locust (Beserker, Armored Kantus, and etc) from Beast Mode. What would have you done?

I did this by myself on checkout, 6 rounds using just the savage drone to take care of stranded and heroes until I unlocked the berserker, then I used him to finish the last six, failed like 7 times but eventually got it

Yes, Horde and Beast mode in Gears Of War 3 is fun in my opinion. However, that damn cash and level system is a pain in the butt. I wish that you could beat the game on Insane and get an 'unlimited cash bonus" mutator for Horde and Beast mode. Also, I'm sick and tired of having to level up for unlocking Locust tiers in Beast Mode. When I first start I want a straight shot to the Tier 4 Locust nightmares (Armored Kantus, Beserker, and Savage Boomer). Like if you agree.
Overrun was the best. Pretty much Beast mode 2.0. Shame Gears 5 doesn't know what the fuck to do.

Yeah but I want more Locust to play as. The multiplayer in GOW:J needs some work though.
The thing that really bothers me is that we can't customize our Multiplayer characters in Gears Of War like in Halo. That is what really gets on my nerves.
