This video has all the photos and videos I received while the suit was being made, mostly in order. Soon I'll also upload the unboxing video that I recorded and then later hopefully I'll have some suiting action!
Macarena is a hyacinth macaw. I approached the artist simply wanting some kind of bird costume and we eventually decided on a parrot and then went with one of my favorites, a hyacinth! I'm going to be coming up with this character's personality as I go, but right now she is a beautiful Brazilian female bird that loves to fly, dance, and sing, of course!

Yeah, similar! Although this is a Hyacinth macaw and Blue and Jewel are Spix's macaws.

After I first watched Rio, I put pillow cases on my arms and pretended to be a bird.
I was destined to be a furry.
dont worry. i tryed to fly with nothing on. too bad i realized a hooman cant fly.
I told my 8 yo cousin that he could fly if he jumped of the roof of his house. He did and landed in some stinging nettles :p

Anyone realize most fursuit makers are girls, but most furries are male? O.O
I think it might be that women are more creative then men. I'm not saying that men aren't creative, it's just that women are more creative then males.
Actually, quite a few makers I know are men. Society seems to treat art as a women only thing which is why so many more women know how to do this sort of thing, because they're generally taught from a young age how to sew. It sucks, but hey so does society. :/

Yeah most parrots don't have crests (certainly not macaws of any sort), with the exception of the Cacatuoidea, which are the cockatoos. Parrots can ruffle their feathers up when upset or excited, though. Maybe that's why you're confused? Idk. I don't know of a royal blue colored crested burb.

I'm not a floof furry, but I find the creation of suits to be very impressive and yours definitely proves that.
