I'm so glad that you posted a video tonight. I had a busy day in my sewing room and now I get to sit and watch you work. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for sharing this video!

Love this. I could even see this as a stand alone applique to be added on a piece. Do circle stitches on just the denim then applique this design on a quilt or pillow. Thanks for the idea!

Yes, that would look great, you could do several in different sizes and overlap them, c x

No problem. I love the look of sashiko but have never found the time (or patience) to give it a proper go! c x

You’re using an opaque gel pen, and you mention that you can wipe the ink off when you finish. Given the amount of handling, the lines remain very well. I have been trying sashiko and don’t like the chalk that fades so easily. Can you tell us more about using that pen, please?

I've used a Sakura gel pen and the majority of the ink comes off with a damp cloth but it's not perfect. I mainly used it to show up well under camera but if you used a pen that was a slightly lighter shade than the fabric you were working on I would think it would barely been seen after a wipe. Please test it first though before you spend hours stitching. I would hate for you to go through all that painstaking sewing only to find out the ink was indelible 😒 c x

Why aren't you using a circular attachment? They make perfect circles w decorative stitches.

GC Durnin Do you have a link to a circular attachment?

Even better to make REALLY BIG CIRCLES. And it's free from stuff you have around the house. czcams.com/video/w-MCCIlwg-0/video.html
