You are Amazingly talented. I've been playing drums for over 20 years and was injured 2 years ago so I am paralyzed from the knees down. Since I can't play the pedals I've all but given up the kit until now. You've inspired me to pursue overcoming my obstacle, which is nothing compared to your obstacle. So much respect

I have been trying to talk my band's drummer in to this tune and he has been telling me he doesn't think he can do it (he could, the guy is incredible), I plan on showing him this and asking him what his fucking excuse is, lol. I've played drums 42 years. Yes this song comes easy to play but I have all limbs. I've tried to see if I can even move my upper arms/shoulders as fast as him and cannot. His shoulders are as nimble as wrists...thats amazing

Anybody that gave this Inspiring, Talented and Gifted Drummer a Thumbs Down is a Born Hater for two main reasons: 1. You know that you could never play the Drums ever the way he did... 2. You were a Naturally Gifted Born Loser!
I am totally blown away by this. Having recently learned the song myself, this is not an easy hi hat part to play with the fingers. So how you manage to generate that speed and solidness with your shoulders, I literally cannot get my head around. I have always drawn a lot of inspiration from people with a disability showing the world 2 fingers and achieving greatness regardless, but this is another level. Thanks for posting...really means a lot!

Even if we ignore the fact that he's disabled for a moment, his time is spot on, his rhythm is flawless, the fills are tasteful, and it's just all around brilliantly played! Then, at the disability back in there, and you've got yourself a god among men. Bravo! Keep the faith, my man!

I've been playing musical instruments my whole life, dozen orchestral instruments, guitar, bass in a death metal band, even banjo and you get all my props. I have tried to play basic drums and just never could find the coordination to make it work. You have better rhythm than most people you will ever know. Nice work.

Good stuff, man. I've been playing and teaching for several years. You're playing is excellent. I wouldn't consider what you have a disablitly. What you have is talent and passion. Keep it up. You're more whole than a lot of people I've run into.

I think the most impressive thing about this cover is how difficult it would be to play that on the high hat with no wrists. Most drummers will tell you that speed comes from the wrist and using your arms will only slow you down. The fact that Cornel is playing this using all arm strength is VERY impressive and shows that hard work really does pay off.

Right handed playing with left foot kick and right foot hi-hat pedal. Tried it once and it was like i was playing a different instrument without success of course. Additionaly, if i had to use only shoulders without wrists and fingers, i would fail big time as this is next level stamina. Dude, you are my hero.

This must be even MORE difficult since you are forced to use those upper arms... which is exactly what we are told not to do when drumming. So this is really rad! If I tried to use my arms like this I would have passed out on the floor and gone into cardiac arrest. Absolutely amazing!
