Christophe Lemaitre - Top 10 Fastest 100m Races - All Sub 10s

- This video shows the 10 fastes races that Christophe Lemaitre has ran in his career inclusing 7x sub 10 second finishes. How much more recognition would Lemaitre have gotten if he wasn't up against the most talented crop of sprinters of all time while he was performing at his peak?
- Sport
Can't lie. Loved his form. The power is visible in it
3:38 to me this is the most impressive of them all .. that's a sick comeback
Was that gatlin on the 2nd place there?
@@v00njun8 That's definitely Gatlin in the red. I'd recognise that ice skater looking drive phase anywhere.
@@Morrigankou I love how he drives his hands XD
@@charliesierra6919 I think lemaitre can stand a chance on bolt since he beat someone that beat bolt
@@v00njun8that was when Gatlin had just gotten out of his drug ban, he was in pretty bad shape, only Gatlin at his very best has beat Bolt
Bruh this guy is too underrated.
If bro had a real start, he could have ran 9.80 easily
Lemaitre and Vicaut are two of the greatest european spirnters but their starts are so bad that hold them back when matching against international competition
Vicaut's start wasn't bad.
What about Marcell Jacobs, Francis Obikwelu, Linford Christie, Churandy Martina, Dwain Chambers, and Zharnel Hughes?
@@thenorseprodigy7466 yeah those two i mentioned have fell off a little bit. Jacobs proving me wrong every time he sprints. Terrific sprinter!
He should have trained exclusively for 200 metres as he could take those curves and his wind up near the end was boltesque
@@thenorseprodigy7466lol Chambers? Really? How many times did the guy piss purple?
He ran the 9.96 before he even turned 21. Boling has some catching up to do to get on that level
Bolings gonna pass him
@@henri.r94 no can they do the 400 and long jump too.. no
@@matthewkaram9615 You are on a tangent
@@matthewkaram9615 Boling passes Lemaitre once he runs under 9.92 in the 100 and under 19.80 in the 200. We have to use the same events if we're trying to make a comparison.
@@timmytheinventor4746 lametre could’ve been a 9.6-9.7 guy if he had a 6.4 start
Кристофер Леметр был один из лучших спринтеров Европы, у него была корявая техника, но за этим скрывалось его уверенность что он лучший. Я считаю его одним из лучших спринтеров мира
Reached his peak at 21, could have been so much more
He should have worked better on his start. His finishing was simply explosive 😱😱😱
his running form is so powerful
He has a strong finish.
Tremendous sprinter!! Fast!!
Does any fully know his max velocity ?? Splits
the pickup in the last race is ridiculous
Bolt and Lemaitre. They knew what they were doing.
I have a gold medal in my country (and probably in your country too) for casting a 500 gr ball over 97 mts. when I was 10 years old.
I still have that achievement from 30 years ago, but never got even a hug. Authorities took that cup as it was theirs.
I'm probably a gold medalist but, my country is too poor to even get there again.
Whats is the fast
Churandy martina x Christophe lemaitre
What is best?
If we are to assume he was clean running sub 10s he could've been a machine running 9.8s on the gear
Yep
His first 30m was too slow for him to run 9.8 or 9.7
@@416yaadie The gear could have given him the explosiveness out of the blocks that he lacked
@@416yaadie PEDs would naturally make him more explosive, which would help his block starts
doping is the basis
His stride length might be longer than Bolt
Where is his 19.80 race ??
Title says fastest 100m races
Why would you say "All sub-10 races" but include the ones with 10.00?😐🤦
Because he doesnt have that many sub 10s
But i still love him
bcause the video includes everry sub 10 but his top 10 fastest aren't all sub 10
he is the french joseph fanbulleh, just with a slightly better start
Good comparison
Griezmann is it you?
He should have ran the 400 h would be a beast
Lemaitre is the fastest white man ever
Su bingtian
Fastest white guy but average black
@@cherrywave9050 no average athlete runs 100 meters in 9.92 seconds.
Injuries at a young age and poor form destroyed his career, sadly. He could have been so much faster and so great.
Nowadays he is only a shadow of his former self. It's such a sad lost for European athletics.
True but he'll forever be a French legend.
Poor form?? He was praised in track for his form
@@sams.358 no he wasnt, his starts were slow and he had to much side to side movement in his run. good form could of made him much faster. then if he was juiicing like the jamaicains he would of been right up there.
@@proudofyourroots9575 bro you are so full of it. Yeah he didn’t have one of the best starts but the side to side running, Absolutely not. He had great form. Never once did he fail a drug test. Are you a female? Because all that’s spilling out of your mouth is lying BS gossip like your talking with a bunch of unhappy, single, baby momma friends 😂
@@proudofyourroots9575Lemaitre is a tall MF, and starts were always tough for tall people. Even Bolt (who is even taller) would struggle off the line but would reel everyone in quickly before passing everyone.
It was inevitable that he never did reach his full potential. Lack of thirst for weight lifting and his overwhelming shyness contributed to his ultimate demise.
2 olympic medals + 2 world championships medals... this is what full potential is for me. More or less same generation as Usain Bolt... places on the podium were quite limited.
@@jamesdebbah bro, I've been following him through and through, I know what I'm talking about. I am totally convinced that he had the potential to dip into the 9.80s had he done everything right but it wasn't to be.
@@george_k293 yes I agree with that. But he is the most successful athlete France has ever seen for decades, until Mayer appeared a few years ago. This is more than enough for a country who struggles to get some medals. I think Lemaitre has an impressive record given the competition back in time and that he peaked at a very young age. It can happen for some athletes... If you understand French you should listen to his most recent interview to L'Equipe. His approach before races is amazing and explains why he was very successful. Very clever...
What ever happened to him? He like fell off out of no where??
vaccine side effect
What happened to this guy? Seems he had some tecnical regression on rhe way he runs
Wasn't world class anymore since 2017.
