Definitely the Gen-Y that makes a difference 😉 Nick when teaching me how to drive my dad, would always say, "Drive it like you stole it." W are excited for the 1strangegathering!
We love that area. It is cool to go to the beach and not have a bunch of high rise hotels and condos. Safe travels!
Towing gooseneck is the way to go. People don't realize it until they try it. So much more maneuverability and better ride. We run the Goosebox on ours and i love the air ride portion and ability to customize the ride based on our weight.
Love our Gen Y and MORryde IS. Glad you guys safely made the escape from Florida and got to see Makala. We are just over 2 weeks from heading to Alaska.
Ha! We were in St
Joe at the same time. We stayed just north of town. Beautiful area.
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
The hitch makes a world of difference. The truck makes some difference (new technology), but it's mostly that hitch, IMO.
nice truck and trailer , how much cost the trailer please , this video is amazon
You drove right past us! LOL. We were in the Old Hwy 19 RV Park in Perry on US 19 for Jan thru end of April!
You were all excited about the ball that provided weight but decline to provide it.
The video wasn't great so I had to cut that piece... Can provide in a future video.
Just curious if the new hitch and new ball changed your overall height? Ya'll have a great towing set up and glad it's all working out.
Nice video! What truck topper is that? Safe travels!!
we had a big truck and trailer,, now we have a motorhome,, it is so much easier to travel..
Question, was the B&W ball you had the 2.5” extra height? and which weigh safe ball did you buy? Also with the new weigh safe ball do you have problem with the camper being nose up now? I have the 2.5” B&W ball and I’m still having clearance issues coming out of steep approaches and would like to gain some more with my GenY. Thanks in advance!
We don’t have discs and a Chev, same trailer error - you might of fixed it by redoing the install but it’s either a bad ground or look at replacing the 40a braker (where you disconnect + get a good brand name one, Eaton or Littlefuse
We’ve tried chasing the ground and haven’t found anything. Where is that fuse located?
@@1StrangeAdventure at 15:52 you point to it - that auto-resetting braker might also be the problem
I'm surprised you're using a gen y hitch. A few people have said that GD blames it for frame failures. The house probably isn't strong enough to support it, to much flex like they blamed your timbren\sumo springs.
They are losing that argument because there is more evidence of the same frame problems with units that are still stock. They have to prove that GenY and Sumo springs cause the issue and they already know what’s causing the issue.
What was the pin weight?
Cindy, tell me about the neck pillow in the truck, please . looked in your Amazon store, but didn't find. Thanks.
It helps a lot, especially on long travel days! We will get it added to our store, but here is the link: amzn.to/4bshhug
What do you guys do with all the stuff you purge? Give it away, or have like a little sale at the campsite. I always wondered what full timers do, because we always collect stuff along the way. Also like you switched your pin box, what with the old? They’re still good etc.?
Some things we will place in storage and some things we just get rid of. Our general rule is if we haven't touched it in 6 months, it doesn't need to be with us. ☺️
How’s the towing mirrors when towing? Best driver rear visibility right
I just measured the height of my B&W gooseball it is 5.5” .I looked up the height of the weight safe gooseball it is 8.4”. I have a 2022 F450 Have you measured the height of your RV now that you have the weight safe hitch ?
Following the Break-in process?
Over 1k miles on it before our first long trip. They recommend 500 miles.
Why on earth would anyone modify a Grand Design at this point? You’re just asking for a failure that won’t ever be covered.
they’re not covering those who haven’t modified anything so whats the point?
Harold n Cindy safety tip , when in a parking lot leave your steps out so nobody can park beside you n ding the Ford
