yeaaa Idina is right, it is a Disney movie, A DISNEY MOVIE, they can make CGI on Nick Fury in Captain Marvel...so why cant they make CGI on Idina Menzel😭😭😭

It's made by Universal thankfully. They had the movie rights since not long after the book came out, and before the musical was a thing.
Stephen got one producer on board and that's how they got the rights to do the musical
