    Thank You!
    Hello everyone, welcome back to our channel. In today's discussion, I'm going to delve into a topic that I've rarely touched upon in the past, or at least, not in the manner I intend to today. It's a subject that primarily revolves around the profound anger of a narcissist and the intense resentment they experience when they don't feel pursued, even after they've belittled you, discarded you, and made you feel entirely insignificant and worthless in their eyes.
    Narcissists are extraordinarily dependent on the reactions of others, especially those they view as their primary sources of "supply." If you were that main supply, they would have leaned heavily on your reactions to regulate their emotions, to reassure themselves, to feel significant, and to validate their sense of self-worth. When you fail to respond in the way they require, or more importantly, in the way they anticipate, you inadvertently inflict a deep-seated pain on the narcissist.
    A crucial aspect of a narcissist's behavior is their method of discarding people. When they decide they've reached their limit, that they've had enough, the decision to discard always occurs on their terms. Narcissists are exceptionally cautious and are acutely attuned to their supply. They carefully manage their relationships to avoid a scenario where their supply might reject them before they're ready to do the discarding. When they choose to cast aside their source of supply, it's because they believe the timing is perfect, and they've decided it's time for you to exit their lives.
    However, the story doesn't conclude there. A couple of significant dynamics are at play in this situation. First and foremost, the narcissist operates under the assumption that you're in a state of mind where you're needy, dependent, and the prospect of surviving on your own seems like an insurmountable challenge. They believe that you're not capable of achieving independence, and this mindset serves to reinforce their sense of superiority and control.

    When you don’t chase them it’s like you’re putting up a mirror to them and showing them that in fact they are not worth it and are not that special

    • @NarcPedia
      @NarcPedia  Před 5 měsíci +6

      Absolutely, you hit the nail on the head. It's so important to remember our own worth and not let it be defined by someone else's perception. When we refuse to play their game, it can be a powerful statement about our own self-respect. Thanks for your comment!

      You're absolutely right. Narcissists often present a charming facade at the beginning, which can make it difficult to recognize their true nature until later. It's a harsh reality to face when their true colors start to show. This only emphasizes the importance of maintaining strong boundaries and taking care of our own mental and emotional health. Thank you for sharing your insights, it helps to spread awareness about this issue.

    I got the brutal discard as soon as she got graduated after helping her through school and got a new job in the field. She started an argument then purposefully gas lighted me topush me and when that wasn't working when I was trying to reason withhershe began mocking me like I was a stupid oaf at that point I knew she was wanting me to give up so she could blame me for the end and then she raged and abused me as hard as she could saying I never did anything for her and I was worthless to her and left and blocked me. There was absolutely no sympathy or care for if I was ok because I just been released from the hospital. I gave all I could and lived for her and it was devastating never again

      Well said. Focusing on your own peace and well-being is the wisest path forward. Chasing after a narcissist or their belongings will only prolong the pain. By letting go and prioritizing your own healing, you're taking back your power. Your peace and self-care are far more important than any material items or attempts at closure from the narcissist. Stay the course - your mental and emotional health deserve to be the top priority
