A burglar is surprised by David and Lisa Collins in their son's room. In the struggle, Lisa's eyes are hurt and David throws an ornament, unintentionally killing the young thief. It's not easy for Reverend Collins to deal with the resulting publicity, his own conscience, or Lisa's temporary blindness. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I just really love old classic movies!.....it really relaxes me!.....much better than the newer movies that they have today!....I watch old classic movies as a hobby!
I agree with you!
They can't be beat!! 💜👍🏼
Same here
Mee too
🎉 me too 🎉
Was at home for 2yrs during a medical leave and thanked God for the classic B/W films.!
Thanks to Rob here, I’m on a George Nader binge tonight😂
Film Noir was often produced as low-budget movies, yet the majority of them have become classics due to the artistic talent of all who were part of the filming.
Always enjoyed Phyllis Thaxter. Good actress.
Henry Mancini music. I am all in!😉Thank you!
You're welcome!
Instant credibility.
Just finished watching another George Nader movie, and Darren Stevens' mother was in that one, too.
Very powerful film with strong score by a young Henry Mancini. Not easily forgotten...
This was made in the year I was born
This is the first time I have seen it
Really enjoyed this. George Nader was a real hottie back in the day! Always liked him. 🇦🇺❤️
Glad you liked it!
He was gay. On average, in the general population, gay men are better looking than straight men. He was 'just good friends' with Rock Hudson.
In her career, Dame Mae Fishman was a part of over 108 silent films. Each film was a testament to her ability to communicate emotions without uttering a single word.
WHAT A GOOD MOVIE, IM GLAD IT ENDED THAT WAY. I DONT WANT TO SPOIL IT, ITS WELL WORTH A WATCH. VERY GOOD.
Glad you liked it!
I watched classic movies as a hobby - actually essentially the only type of movies I do watch. It gives me a good sense of relaxation, maybe because it takes us back to the formative days of our modern life in a way.
Being from the Middle East I allocate good portion of my watch time to the news, but these days even that is almost unbearably heavy with much hatred loaded on both sides. Such a movie is a good escape. Thank you!
Very well said
You will keep your quality of life
I wish more of your people felt this way. Mine never hated you.
@@serenity5755 I am not sure what you mean by my "your people "; are they my ethnic group (the Kurds), or the whole Middle Eastern peoples? I do not claim that I represent the former, but I am sure I do not do the latter. It is just not a right or realistic base for identity attribution. Probably the only thing peoples of the ME have distinguishly in common is sharing the same neighborhood. But adjacency might bring similarities and commonalities but also dispute... I understand wars polarize peoples, but I also believe few enjoy killing or violence. The sad thing is often the voice of the few is louder because they make louder cracks and noises and get wider platforms from external sources.
I never think human beings are different from a place to another. The strains and pressures of certain circumstantial or temporary realities produce certain variations but not the essence remains the same.
Had I known you are Kurdish I would not have posted my comment. Be well@@AraAli0
@@serenity5755 No problem. You as well!
This movie should be titled "Man frustrated by incompetent law enforcement".
And incompetent stalker. He had multiple chances to "do the deed" instead of all that faffing around with buckets and fake phonecalls 🙄😂
Harold J Stone at the end: "Reverend Collins, how do you know old man Simmons wasn't trying to rescue Michael under that pier? I need proof!"
Seriously🤣
Oh that was a good one! That made me laugh!
😂😂😂
Just like he tried to rescue him from the fire.
What a top little movie. Thanks Rob, you're spoiling us!
That's what I love to do! :)
Excellent old movie. Excellent music Unexpected ending, but good. Thanks a lot. Oct. 26, 2023. St. Joseph, MO, USA
They sure made the cop a hard boiled character who, apparently, did not like ministers. This was a wonderful movie! Thank you, Rob, for posting it!!
You're very welcome!
Was thinking the same thing. Guy needed anger management sessions.
What was his name
Holy Cow, George Nader was ripped! I never would have guessed he had such a physique!
The actresses who played the housekeeper from The Ghost and Mrs Muir and Samantha's mother-in-law from Bewitched are in this. Love my 1960s TV classics.
~ Yes and 'Phyllis Stevens' might get one of her "sick headaches" at any moment!
Thank you. It was racking my brain with trying to remember where I saw the "buy me a drink" woman before (who played Darren's mother on Bewitched). Also , the guy from Adam 12 (police officer) was in this movie. I wonder why they didn't list their names at the end; they both had speaking parts in the movie.
@@thisislogout They were in the credits, at the bottom. Milner also starred in Route 66.
Wasn't she also Howard Sprague's mother on "The Andy Griffith Show"? Very funny woman.
"Frank! I've got a sick headache !"@@rubytuesday5412
I really love to watch these old classic movies. They had good stories, good actors, actress. I wonder why can't producers, directors nowadays can't find or make good movies.
Lack of imagination
It's a hard world outside with all the anger and hateful people, the hurt, the fear, the doubt. When one walks out of a loving environment into the darkness of hurt everyday people, the peace and love of church is such a contrast. We try for light and love in church, as we were taught in our study of faith. The darkness and evil, sometimes simple distrust and discomfort, is even more real than we can know, until we face it straight ahead. We pray for strength to overcome fear and disharmony. That is part of what church can help us understand.
Never heard of this film, but an interesting movie.
Great credit music by Henry Mancini is reminiscent of his score to the 1955 Universal film "TARANTULA".
A wonderful film. George Nader's a fine actor who's always been underrated. Eduard Franz can be relied on to give an outstanding performance in any role - with almost no dialogue, he makes Simmons a sympathetic as well as an ominous, terrifying character.
I agree, unfortunately, Universal was too busy building up Tony Curtis and Rock Hudson to serve George as he deserved.
@@davidallen508 One can understand why, judging by this.
@@davidallen508 ~ George Nader and Rock Hudson were lifelong friends (not lovers) and covered for each other in protecting their straight images in Hollywood. Nader's partner, Mark Miller was Rock Hudson's personal secretary for 13 years. (Google)
@@davidallen508 Agreed.
❤
The opening music is killer
🥰 Thank you 👍 Good movie 🍿🥤🍫👍So many familiar faces in the good cast 🥰👍💐😃💐
Glad you enjoyed it
Very tense. I hadn't seen this in years! Thanks for uploading this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Engaging noir with ingenious cinematography! I loved the panning shots that mimic the roving flashlight, and those close-ups on the parts of the door to indicate Mrs. Collins' attenuated sense of hearing.
Thank you R W for entertaining us with this rare film 🎥
Great acting and superb music 🎶💙🦋👋🌹
You're welcome!
A little gem -- thanks for uploading!
You're welcome!
33:56 Officer Malloy Adam 12.
Thank You for the UPLOAD. The End was the best. Greetings from France near Paris.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It looks like the Reverend is determined to have his son either kidnapped or killed.
Yeah, he let's him walk alone in the dark to his friend's house instead of taking him there.
Thank you for posting this and that kid was annoying!
Great movie that starts out with thrilling action & features a model, godly family raising their son in the ways of the Lord; a son who practices the power of prayer & honesty, although he disobeyed his parents in going to the abandoned ship. Such families are a rarity these days, sadly. I love the way the pastor was selfless & compassionate toward others & sensitive to their needs, while offering words of wisdom, despite his own personal situation. Thanks for the upload, Rob W. I collect and love old movies & had never seen or heard of this one before. Indeed, followers of Christ, if God be for us, who can be against us (56:32)? ROMANS 8:31 Hallelujah & amen!
And I love all the forgiveness at the end....
Another winner Rob. Much appreciated.
Thank you!
Great entertaining movie. I really enjoyed it. I loved the ending. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing entertainment, great film! Thank you sooo much!
Glad you liked it!
George Nader was so handsome and a good but underrated actor . His career was sacrificed to cover up the rumors about Rock Hudson. They were friends in real life.
His partner was Rock Hudson's secretary.
I saw this one years ago. Great seeing it again.
Its the ivy growth around the trees and beaches of my childhood. No wonder I no longer engage with the present. 😎
Unbelievable the amount of negative comments about this movie, Id be interested to know age groups for the neg commentary.
What a good film and a nice clear copy.
It was filmed at Santa Monica Pier, California,
Glad you liked it!
mama mia! when the reverend took his shirt off, wow, what a doll!!
True, George had a great physique!
THAT, PART EleanorSmith-ho6bh 💪🔥❤
Hungover after Supe Bowl. Played hookie and my wife and I watched it this afternoon. Very good!
Thank You So Much Rob W.
Another Winner. 💯
God Bless 💗🙌
Thank you!
@@robtw88 You're So Very Welcome. God Bless 💗🙌
Phyllis Thaxter was a favorite actress of the legendary film director, Alfred Hitchcock. During the ten-year run of Hitchcock's very popular television series (1955-1965) Phyllis starred in at least one episode per year. Director Hitchcock once remarked that, "Phyllis could do anything I ask of her - and does so very well!"
❤thank you, really good entertainment 🙂❤
Glad you liked it!
What's your feeling on YT blocking people for using adblockers? I don't see myself sticking around much longer when I can find everything on the Internet Archive, without ads and for free too.
where do I find Internet archive, please?
@@ibdalia69 Just type:Internet archive
@@ibdalia69 Just google it and go to movies and TV.
I just use different apps to download the youtube movies, and they download WITHOUT ads. Then I transfer the file to a USB thumb drive and watch it on my Smart TV.

Hooked on george nadar movies.
Great A+
Wow, brilliant movie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Are they calling this a "B" movie? Great Film! Good Performances. Especially enjoyed Mabel Albertson and Tim Hovey.
And she was such a model citizen as Mrs. Sprague/Howard’s mother.
Uhmm, no charges?! Two counts of attempted murder of a child, trespassing, breaking and entering, kidnapping, arson (endangering hundreds), the injury of Skunky just to name a few!!
😂so right.
Well, we don't know about that....
I don't think Nurse Willis was gonna let that crippled man, Simmons, escape her grasp. BTW, Michael Collins needed a firmer hand by his father to ensure he listened and obeyed what his mother and father told him to do. Disobedient little bugger, wasn't he?
@@sheristewart3940
Yes, he certainly was an undisciplined young brat - not getting the wiser - in spite of the danger he knew they were in 🤦🏼♀️
Sounds like trump
So good, I saw this a hundred years ago...still scary!!!!
I know somebody else that would be interested in all this. Ralph Nader !
Lol!
Great movie! But, back then was normal to let little children boxing each other? Scary…😢
Yeah, I never heard of that either
And on top of it; for a church leader to be involved in such a set-up 😮
@@robtw88
'How could parents be giving their consent', one would argue. However, is boxing so much different to other contact sports such as rugby? No, as Dr. Daniel Amen warns: The inflicted concussions are all seriously harmful to a developing brain especially.
Especially a "contact" sport for a son of a suppose Christian Minister,. lol!
What else would one expect from Hollywood? @@robtw88
Omg that nurse was in Andy Griffith a couple of episodes. She played that criminal woman that danced with Barney.
Great movie! Loved the acting and the music! Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it
good movie....thank you x
I was waiting for Darren Steven’s mother to say she had a sick headache 😅
This was very good! Thanks for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Todd from Route 66!
Enjoyed the movie but it's not noir. Thanks Rob. Love your channel.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great movie thank you😊🎉
Thank you too

Those kids are really going at it in the ring.
They didn't have restraining orders in the 50s so this is something that could have actually happened 😢
So enjoyed this movie
Great movie 🎥. Thanks Rob. 🙏☺️
Thanks for watching!
Kind of hard to watch with a father that's stupid doesn't believe his son lovely growing up in the suburbs .
Try again. That has to be the worst excuse for a sentence on CZcams. It makes almost no sense.
Just forgot the commas , lol!@@christophertracy2807
@@christophertracy2807 Well, it's long, so there's that😉
Michael was a brave boy
Another winner. Universal put out a number of these so called b movies that some were better their bigger budgeted stuff. George Nader's career never really recovered after Robot Monster although he made a tv series called Shannon.
The burglar tries to murder his son, blinds his wife, and attempts to stab him to death for protecting his family, then the burglar's father tries to do the same, "but that wasn't proof that he intended any harm." ??!
I think that the policeman had issues with clergy....
The script is very much of an anti-Christ Hollywood character - an eye for an eye! Nothing really Christian about this film.
Detective Benson was on vacation.
Years ahead of its time
Some minister... Lying to his kid, making him feel safe when he knows the bad guy is there stalking the kid. And telling his wife that no harm could come to her even though she's been struck blind !
Naders character was incredibly naive. There is a time and place for compassion, but NOT in a situation like this.
As a minister, he is supposed to have a higher conscience.
But this is when it COUNTS......when it is HARD
Reta Shaw was also great in The Pajama Game.
Why do those parents let that kid out of their sight 🤦
The Reverend is a clueless individual. He needs to wake up
Yes . . . but, if he did that, we'd have had no movie!
'Nothing bad can happen to him - or to anyone of us - ever...' How ignorant and naive can one be? 😅 God does promise though, to be with us; whatever hardships and trials we might have to go through. In this world we are in fact to expect to face a lot of bad things happening to us. It helps to keep in mind; that whatever might happen; God makes all things work together - for the good - for those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose.
When it comes to the boy: A disobedient young brat! 🤦🏼♀️ A product of too much kindness, and too little discipline?
The reporters were so out of line: Stirring up drama and strife by setting up two families, two fathers and two sons against one another; shameful to say the least.
Very good movie. Thanks ✌️❤️
Thanks for watching!
The movie was a big cigarette ad.
Similar in most of these old movies; habitual smoking and consuming alcohol to relieve stress.
They payed most likely much of the production costs, lol!@@maricamaas2326
Martin Milner is the only name I recognize.
People are always saying something negative on every film like this some of you are taking these films to seriously and imagine getting angry at fictional characters that theses people were told to portray and their attacking a fictional child character and calling him a brat like get it together. It's just a fictional movie but with a story to tell and stop complaining about how the movie didn't make sense it did and other people's opinions these movies were made a long time ago.
10 mins in i realised how tedious this movie was going to be with its storyline and drawn out jeopardy surrounding a family tormented by an unkown character BUT will anyone believe the victims!
Single beds for on screen
Non of this sex nonsense
11:15 wtf is the tv company doing set up in his house ?????
Poor George Nader. The characters in this film proceed with about as much logic as they do in Robot Monster! At least in that film the final denouement reveals it was the dream of a child.
Actually, there ARE PEOPLE WITH REAL BEAUTY IN THE WORLD; there is very little of it now, but IT DOES STILL EXIST!
Rate 6.4

Phyllis Thaxter was real hottie in "30 seconds over Tokyo"
21:03 the kid with 3 stripes on his shirt looks like Kurt Russell.
The ending was utterly stupid. His kids safety should of been first. What it kid slipped and fell. Movies are meant to misinform.
