Eric is such a hidden gem, such a special talent that I don't know why things haven't been bigger for him and Foxy Shazam, especially with how good their album The Church of Rock and Roll is. That dude is straight fearless on stage and lets it completely hang out
Eric's dancing is just about the coolest thing I have ever witnessed. This man's "zero fucks given energy" is what everyone needs a little bit more of in their life. Conformity is just not at all on his agenda and I love it.
2024 and I still come back to watch the crowd's reaction when Eric came out and did his 1st drop. Plus, when the song came out Eric was the reason I liked it.
+Matthew McManus I wish I could have had the chance to see them live. I know some people that have seen them and opened for them and all I hear about their live performance are nothing but good things. Dudes all over the place.
KeithWayne Jones they were one of my favourite bands. loved seeing them live, so much energy from the whole band, and alex is pretty dope at backing vocals / trumpet. for whatever reason though.. whenever they performed at festivals in australia, very little people watched them :( i guess that's what lead them to disband, very little attention and money for so many years of consistently good work. just sucks that eric is now playing with macklemore.. feels like a big drop.
I feel sorry for whoever has to try and follow Eric with a camera, you never know when he's gonna drop to his knees 😂😂 he's such a talent and deserves so much credit!
OMG - I’ve been searching for this vid for years 🤩🥳🥰 I remember watching it live… this was the start of the show. It went straight from the adverts to this entry and show. Had goosebumps then, just as I have done watching it now of which I’ve done over and over again. Never heard of both of them but this was a live show and WOW!!! Great piece of tv which is has always had a stamp impression in the memory of my youth. Thanks for finding it whoever posted it as this has made me smile from ear to ear! Love it and can’t wait to share with those I asked at the time if they’d seen it but hadn’t! Brilliant! Enjoy all, if not for the taste in music but for the live performance and choreography through a live roady and drunk crowd of which the original show became famous for ❤
I think it's funny how the credited musicians are Macklemore and Ryan Lewis... without Nally being a credited musician in the song title. Lol, literally lol, the guy sings the chorus and is the backbone of this song.
this performance is amazing! the entrance (their funky knee pop walk hehe), the dancers, the audience loving it and most importantly ERICCC!! An audiecne can really make or break the vibe of a show, watch the honda stage version of this song, the audience is all on their phones and look so bored. They were only quite disrespectful, I am very happy that they had the audience reaction they deserve this time!
Perhaps the most glorious infectious song and performance I've seen for years. I remember watching it live at the time and wondered what the fuck have I just seen. It's great to see it so many years later.
Thank you so much, Macklemore for introducing me to Eric Nally. I love downtown, and I was searching for who the guy with the long black hair was in the video, nothing came up. FINALLY I found him, haven't been able to stop listening to foxy shazam. HE FREAKING ROCKS THE STAGE
I´m watching live performances of this song and it seems everytime comes the chorus they put the original song behind Eric Nally´s voice, what´s that? let the man sing.
+Fernanda Fernandes I think he's struggling with the high notes? I've seen some earlier live recordings, especially in Oh Lord (Foxy Shazam), and he really couldn't do the highest notes I think
+idaleftplanetearth Look up his acoustic performances, he can sing. I think the issue is he wears himself out with all the crazy dance moves. Try hitting high notes when you're gasping for breath.
Look man. The lyrics are simple, a lot of the lyrics sound dumb and it’s just a song about mopeds. But this song is somehow a masterpiece that has touched me emotionally. The intensity and passion in it and how it makes you and an audience feel is just insane. I have CZcamsd every performance of this I can. I especially love seeing the quirky Eric Nally do his parts.
I do like Ryan Lewis and Macklemore, but I just can't help loving the cute and wacky ERIC NALLY! he's so cool and down-to-earth, a great family man and artist. I love seeing him perform :) more productive and successful years ahead, Eric Nally & Foxy Shazam!
I'm so thankfull that Macklemore showed me Eric Nally.
Omg same! I found out about him at the VMA's when they performed, love him sooooo soooo soooo much!!
OMFG I SO AGREEEE
Ww_ Of1Alexis same
Eric is such a hidden gem, such a special talent that I don't know why things haven't been bigger for him and Foxy Shazam, especially with how good their album The Church of Rock and Roll is. That dude is straight fearless on stage and lets it completely hang out
Foxy Shazam reunited and put out a new album
Eric Nally rock the stage . His voice is likeeee dayyumnn
he's the modern day Freddie Mercury entertainer who sounds like Michael Jackson, what could be better?
+Scot Stephenson yessss it isssss
+Scot Stephenson Luke Spiller in The Struts. Check out "Could've Been Me" He is also a Mercury-ish clone!
and a pinch of Cher.
Yeah 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Eric Nally reminds me so much of Freddy Mercury and the voice of Freddy and Michael Jackson combine.
I was at work saying that and everyone thought I was crazy!
agree with MJ, sounds nothing like Mercury though, but his look and stage presence is very similar to the late great Mercury
+Scot Stephenson his highs and the little sound they make when he hits long notes are very similar to freddys.
Omg yesssssss I thought of Michael Jackson right away
+Cisco Holzknecht Check out Luke Spiller of The Struts
u can tell that macklemore enjoys performing this song
Yeah!!
Eric Nally Rocks this song !
yup
+checkurbrainfly your so right homie
+checkurbrainfly He fucking does.
+checkurbrainfly damn right, bro. He is the best.
You got that right 🤗
If Eric Nally replaced Adam Lambert, Queen would come back to life.
so right! he would be perfect.
Omg yes
Dude Adam is also Good
Eric Nally nailed it! And Mackelmore was killing it with the rap!
I go dancing on the ceiling sometimes, it's always fun but I get scared of the climb, will you catch my faaaaaaall, catch my faaaaaaaaaaall 😂✌️
Eric's dancing is just about the coolest thing I have ever witnessed. This man's "zero fucks given energy" is what everyone needs a little bit more of in their life. Conformity is just not at all on his agenda and I love it.
It’s beautiful, we can all learn something from it!
Outside of his singing, Eric Nally is just incredibly good at performing to a crowd.
Why doesn't Eric nally get any credit??? He is like half of the song
Frosty half the song? He made the song what it is. Without Eric it would of been just ok. Eric Nally’s a stud
Frosty because he agreed with macklemore his name wouldn’t be on the song... He’s a small singer
@@user-uo2sl5us8f bro watcha talking about? He's the frontman of the biggest band in the world now, they're back since January 1
@@siebkelderart7599 Coronavirus kept Foxy from us!
@@Jizbam yeah but they'll be back! They're together at least and they have recorded stuff apparently
Eric Nally is amazing. Every time Macklemore's part comes up I can't wait for it to be over so I can hear Eric sing.
REALLL
Oh. My. God. That man has soo much talent...
Macklemore's alright as well ;)
Eric is so underrated it's infuriating
More like: "Eric Nally ft. Macklemore - Downtown"
2024 and I still come back to watch the crowd's reaction when Eric came out and did his 1st drop. Plus, when the song came out Eric was the reason I liked it.
Foxy Shazam singer is so dope.
+KeithWayne Jones they disbanded. dudes such a fcking diva.
mate at soundwave 'i love you eric!'
eric: 'uhhh... im not gay' *walks off*
+Matthew McManus I wish I could have had the chance to see them live. I know some people that have seen them and opened for them and all I hear about their live performance are nothing but good things. Dudes all over the place.

Still one of the best performances on a TV show EVER
was literally typing this.
Facts, remember it well, watched over and over and over
I'd like this twice!
I feel sorry for whoever has to try and follow Eric with a camera, you never know when he's gonna drop to his knees 😂😂 he's such a talent and deserves so much credit!
Why does Eric Nally have this Macklemore guy singing backing vocals?
Macklemore, thanks for showcasing amazing talent, in a real showcase - equal parts. This is how I became an Eric Nally fan.
Same.
OMG - I’ve been searching for this vid for years 🤩🥳🥰 I remember watching it live… this was the start of the show. It went straight from the adverts to this entry and show. Every so often I looked for this video and couldn't find it. Remember watching it live, it was mesmerising then!
4:06 Eric Nally shoots out his confetti magic!
Eric Nally has an incredible voice. I love him so much
Eric has one of the best voices I've heard out of all musicians
I thought that Macklemore obtained the rights to use Michael Jacksons voice post-humously. Imagine my surprise when I saw Eric. His voice is amazing.
Been looking for this clip from TFI for years 👌
This songs make me happy when I’m really depressed🙌🙌🙌🙌
I think it's funny how the credited musicians are Macklemore and Ryan Lewis... without Nally being a credited musician in the song title. Lol, literally lol, the guy sings the chorus and is the backbone of this song.
I agree he deserves recognition, but he didn't write the song. that's why his name isn't in the title.
Eric Nally is an amaizing performer - I love the scale of his voice - simply fantastic!!!!
this performance is amazing! the entrance (their funky knee pop walk hehe), the dancers, the audience loving it and most importantly ERICCC!! An audiecne can really make or break the vibe of a show, watch the honda stage version of this song, the audience is all on their phones and look so bored. This looks so fun. I WANT TO BE HERE.
Perhaps the most glorious infectious song and performance I've seen for years. I remember watching it live at the time and wondered what the fuck have I just seen. It's great to see it so many years later.
I WANT AN ERIC NALLY SOLO ALBUM NOW!
me too
Get Foxy Shazam's The Church of Rock and Roll album to hear some of Eric's best work
Thank you so much, Macklemore for introducing me to Eric Nally. I love downtown, and I was searching for who the guy with the long black hair was in the video, nothing came up. FINALLY I found him, haven't been able to stop listening to foxy shazam. HE FREAKING ROCKS THE STAGE
Idk why they felt the need to backtrack some of Eric's singing; he sounds exactly like that! His voice is absolutely amazing
@@star999ninegtfo ya bumbaclart
Why is this song so addictive ❤️❤️ holy crap I love this song so muchhhhhh
Love love love Eric Nally!!
Best party ever
This song was amazing. 😭💕
From the 90s to this, perfect set for this one off TFI show.
Wish they did a whole new season
Am I the only one that thought that when I heard Eric Nally's voice that he was a girl?
Nope
Me too loll😂
Me too
+Tyler Noboa My mom thought that.
Its not a joke.
I heard it on the radio and thought that part was a woman. Pleasantly surprised when I watched the video. Go Nally!
I grew up in the 60/s I'm 66 years old now and I love this song awesome makes me bounce

what a performance!
Great performance!
Macklemore loves performing to this song! So obvious, love it
I wish I were there!
Macklemore and Eric is the best freaking combo since spaghetti and meatballs guys. I’m in love.
+idaleftplanetearth yeah foxy really should of opened with oh lord instead of later on in a live show the song is so powerful
+idaleftplanetearth I thought that too, but its really sad that the best part we love about this song is kind of a fake.
+idaleftplanetearth Look up his acoustic performances, he can sing. I think the issue is he wears himself out with all the crazy dance moves. Try hitting high notes when you're gasping for breath.
testing1567 Agreed. There shows are nuts ahaha and there acoustic stuff is great too.
FOXY SHAZAM NEEDS TO TOUR!
bella canzone
That high note really gets me Like Damnn! !! Eric nally totally a fan now
my 6 year old just asked me " is he real in our world?". When I said yes, she replied " I wish I could see him!"
Real Magic still exists, WOW. AHOEAAA.
Cool funky jam!
The energy is huuuuge.

How many other people sit through macklemores crap just to hear Eric???
i like all of them eric nally is awesome
Say what you will about macklemore's songs, he is dedicated and talented af
I'm not gay but I'd probably make an exception
Look man. The lyrics are simple, a lot of the lyrics sound dumb and it’s just a song about mopeds.

This comment section is proof Foxy Shazam acctually could be the biggest band in the world! So happy they're back! 🤘
He's so good 😘😝😜😫

I do like Ryan Lewis and Macklemore, but I just can't help loving the cute and wacky ERIC NALLY! he's so cool and down-to-earth, a great family man and artist. I love seeing him perform :) more productive and successful years ahead, Eric Nally & Foxy Shazam!

his music dosen`t seem to far off from that either
