just when you think that song couldn't get any better .Honest I could watch David Gilmour solo for hours
People will remember them long after the last of the Pink Floyd have gone. Such is their music and power of the songs. There will never be another band like this again.
I have no doubt that between 100-200 years in the future, people will look back at masters like Gilmour and Wright the way we look back at composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven etc. today.

As much I love Gilmour's guitar sound here, but his solo on Numb was the best in Pulse show 1994. I just can't find any better performance than that.
Totally nailed that elusive pinch harmonic on the main solo at 4:32 ! Can't tell you how many live versions of this song I've watched to find this, but the search is over! Just like on the record! You can bet your ass that he attempts this each and every time that he performs this, but they are always a bit random whether they pull off. So nice to hear it!
I just love that Rick sang on this, having Rick performing on this tour makes it my favorite of all Gilmours live solo stuff, this whole concert series has so many great moments, Echoes, Bowie sining Arnold Layne with David and Rick, and so many others.
I never get tired/bored listening to Pink Floyd,day in day out. Best way to unwind after a busy day!

Man....in 50+years, Mr. Gilmour hasn't lost a step! A Pink Floyd fan since the late 70's\early 80's, I've admired the passion which is written with his fingers, voice, and lyrics in everything that he does. A true genius, and a true legend.

John, I agree. My family in PA thinks my music is 'eclectic' in the worst sense. I grew up with The Beatles, Stones, Led Zep. But the first time I listened to DSOTM my heart about broke. Roger Waters is our "Soul of the Age"; and when my Husband had his "Eclipse" cd playing, I flipped out. I'm a 65 r old grandma that loves different genres but Nothing opens my eyes & heart like the Floyd.

I agree, John. Their music isn't just fantastic guitars & keyboards, it's a moebius strip we live through personally. It's like a "religious experience" without shame or guilt. Lol, I wear my old PF tshirt with the Dark Side playing in NY & get some tsk tsks but find it quite funny. Music is truly a gift from God, if I don't hear something grand on a daily basis I get depressed.

An incredible performance by David, Rick and the other band members! David’s second lead guitar segment was epic! Very sad that Rick passed just 2 years later. Time sits still for no man.
You know I'm 70 years old been a party or since the 60s and the 70s. Cannot stop listening to this group there's a lot of good groups back in the 60s and 70s but these people rock and roll Happy Trails everybody what a band

I shook his hand in 1989 and told him that his art had helped to shape my life. He nodded (he’d heard this same thing a million times before) and he said “thank you.” Not “thanks” he’d heard it so many times before but he still meant that “thank you”. A true gentleman and artist. If ever do i get to heaven, and God says “hey, David Gilmore is just starting to play that solo from comfortably numb for eternity”. I’d go “yup, this is heaven.”
This man and his band loved making us happy. That's how I feel. Not just about them. Crazy thinking I know.

This just makes me well up. It is sooooo good it's immoral. I've followed the Floyd since the Barrett era and they've just gotten better and better. Plant ,Clapton, Beck, many others…there will only forever be one David Gilmore. I’m sorry, no body gives me jaw dropping chills like Gilmore does. Recall seeing Pink Floyd in ‘74 on the Dark Side of the Moon tour, I remember it as if it were yesterday. He said he wasn’t the most technical player but played what sounded good to him.
I'll probably die and this music will still be kicking bud long live rock and roll one of the best bands ever.

I met him almost 10 years ago and to my shame I have to admit that to that time I hardly knew another brick part 2....ask just what amps and pick ups he uses and get my way....now I would love to meet him again. Since 2 weeks I only listening to Pink Floyd and my favorite song is comfortably numb! Epic for ever!

I’m going on 70 now and have always liked this song, including Pink Floyd’s and the original, but THIS version of David’s is just about the best I’ve heard yet - in spite of his ‘older’ age! He’s like some other musicians who, imo, seem to get better with age - Gary Booker (from Procal Harem) in his 2016 🇩🇰 Denmark concert performing a ‘Whiter Shade of Pale’, for one example.
