    Hi, Autogefühl team. I don't know if you guys can make this happen, but im gonna ask any way. When you guys are showing the interior, could you put the car in a dark garage or film a small portion of the interior shot at night - to show how the interior dials and knobs light up, or don't light up, at night. Please also show reading lights and any lights along the door seals.Also please show how the exterior lights "behave". This would be greatly appreciated. I love your in-depth reviews, otherwise. Keep up the great work!!!

    I also notice less wind in the A3 not sure why

      +O.B Hey, thanks! Just checked the German price list. Yes serial for all Audi TT 3rd gen for the front wheels. Just if you have quattro, its not serial that you got it for all four wheels, optional for all four wheels there.

  • @Tednessful
    @Tednessful Před 8 lety +5

    Cool review, really dig the HD lens ;) However I don't agree with the "women's car" tag at all. The TT is actually one of the most rugged and masculine looking compact sportscars out there, especially the coupé version with S-Line trim. Women tend to be a lot more into cabriolets/convertibles (aka A3 Cabrio/4-Series Cabrio, etc.) than sporty roadsters. As for suspension settings, the best of both worlds would be S-Line trim with the optional (and expensive) magnetic system, so it sits low yet comfy unless you pick the harder modes when cornering fast.

  • @kevinn1158

    This car is gorgeous.. You are always so observant with all of the design details Thomas. Audi has done such a wonderful job here. Those vents are functional art!! The head lights are very elegant and as you pointed out, the wheel arch would be forgotten by a lesser designer. Even the trunk opening like it does. Great work. I like the virtual cockpit design but I wonder if that is a complete replacement for a centre navi screen as my co pilot (passenger) is always inputing the data while I drive.
    In the end, both the F type coupe and TT coupe are even more gorgeous to my eyes. Either way, these would be really exciting cars to own.

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  Před 8 lety

      +kevin n Totally agree to you. Indeed the Virtual Cockpit is standard with the TT and replaces everything, however you have to pay extra for the sat nav.

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 Před 8 lety

      Oh, I see. Interesting. Also, as you pointed out, the A3 convertible, or even the S3 convertible offers itself as a compelling alternative. I think you could get a S3 for less no? But then again, this car is gorgeous isn't it?

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  Před 8 lety +1

      +kevin n I love the TT for its design. However, the overall better car would be the S3 Conv because it offers great sportiness as well but a lot more comfort. The S3 Convertible can be the one and only car you own. The TT I would rather take as a secondary car

    Great video as usual. Thank you Thomas. About the car... I've just been today to test drive exactly the model in this video an S-line 230 bhp 2.0 litre, manual transmission...I have to say I was less than impressed and quite disappointed. I owned mx-5 ND last generation for 2 years and that is a much better car even in the 1.5 litre engine configuration. Mx-5 in the meanwhile had the 2019 engine update and now has 181(184)bhp. Yes you get more boot space and you have more interior space and slightly more comfort BUT you loose everywhere else. The acceleration response was not smooth at all and the pedal is not hinged in the floor; gearbox is OK but not as precise and fast as MX-5, clutch was a disaster, handling was OK but lacking in feedback and enjoyment, overall enjoyment and car feel nothing to write home about.I feel that they built a car out of recycled VW Group parts which looks good but is not nice to drive. I currently own a Mazda 6 and this is a better driver's car. I know how that may sound but I drove them back to back. I really wanted to like the Audi TT, I often go on holiday and I would have liked a bigger boot and more leg room. Sadly Audi TT proved to be a disappointment. Don't buy this car if you wan't a good driver's car for the money go either for a Porsche Boxster or Mx-5 2019 with the updated engine

    Also ich bin gerade in der Überlegung, TTS 2019 Competition oder doch "nur" der Quattro. Tatsächlich tun sich beide in weitestgehend gleicher Konfiguration nicht wirklich viel, mit einem Preisunterschied von 7.000 €. Tatsächlich aber tendiere ich eher zum Quattro, da Audi beim TTS, wie so oft, eine bescheidene Farbauswahl anbietet. Genauso verhält es sich mit den Sitzen, welche hier nur in Nappaleder zu bekommen sind. Ich bevorzuge jedoch ganz klar Alcantara. Was den Sound angeht, ist nach der neuen Messtechnik eh Schluß mit Sound-Emotion. Ganz ursprünglich wollte ich den RS3, aber diesen kann man ja seit zig Monaten nicht mehr bestellen und niemand weiß, ob er noch kommt und wenn, wann?

  • @georgeparaskevopoulos6601

    • @autogefuehl

      +George Paraskevopoulos That might be even true

    • @MichaelGross1
      @MichaelGross1 Před 8 lety +1

      I would challenge that! I've driven both cars and the Boxster definitely feels a lot sportier. The interior of the TT is surely more modern and innovative, however the design of Porsche's interior is more timeless and uses better materials (e.g. aluminium paddles vs cheap plastic paddles in the TT). But obviously, the Boxster is more expensive, especially if you count in all the options. +autogefühl

    I think 230hp TT roadster is more balance for daily driving, also if you puts roof down, you will feel more faster driving on highway. TTS is faster, but it also more expensive, and the weight balance maybe more heavier at front.

    FWD and AWD are not good for a roadster, and 1400kg is a lot of weight
    also it's not a nice looking car, too tall and too short. in total, it's feels like a city hatchback, only without roof.
    any used mx-5 will give you much more fun, and any used Boxster will give you much more fun AND value
    the 1st generation TT roadster was very stylish and special, but these are not.
