The only good thing the country of El Salvador has to offer would be food. I love the breakfast my mom makes me with Bananas and eggs, that stuff is the best. Btw it's not as bad as eating a sugary breakfast. El Salvador has better bread and pastries than Mexico, Mexican bread is weird. With some they overdo it with a bunch of sugar which isn't a good thing. But there are some breads I still love from the Mexican side. But they still can't beat a Salvadorian Quesadilla.

Salvadoran good is underrated also, so venture out and get some. It'll be very different than what you're used to.
Im Mexican and my sister married a Salvadoran. You guys have better tamales and the chicken sandwiches with the beats and the sauce are good too. I recently found out you guys make your own horchata too. Wish there was a Salvadoran restaurant near me so i could try it out!

The point was to serve the same foods that both Mexicans and Salvadorians eat but with their own takes on it. Mexicans don't have yuca or riguas or pupusas. They have gorditas which is somewhat similar to pupusas.

Being half Mexican and half Salvadoran, I grew up having both cuisines, and both have their pro's and con's. The only thing I would add is that Mexican food has a wider range of variation whereas Salvadoran food does not.

I'm true blooded El Salvadoreño, having been raised in a city where there is a mixbowl of cultures and ethneticities has given me tastes of many corners in cuisine. I love food no matter where it's from, undeniably though I can't ever stay away from my kitchen and make some homemade comfort food. Caldos, pupusas, yuca frita, pollo encebollado con cream, pastelitos etc. My wife is from France so now I get to introduce my culture into hers and vice-versa. She has tried different foods from Latino American but says she loves Salvadoran food best. It makes me happy and proud of it.
Yessss! Salvadorian food is amazing. Although u are missing the riguas, pupusas, pastelitos, yuca, y nuegados. U can become so fat with our food. I love tacos too. 🇸🇻

What are some other Salvadorian dishes? Besides Pupusas, I only know Pan con pollo/pavo, yucca frita, sopa de pata/res and el desayuno tipico. I've been researching all over the internet but I don't find much.
