The reason it’s 18 to drink in the UK is because at 18 you are considered a legal adult. We can also drink at 16 in some certain circumstances.
We’re considered adults at 18 in the US too, but still can’t drink till 21🥲

Your brain isn't fully developed at 21 either, it's not fully developed until you're 28. And it's crazy that's the reasoning for the alcohol age limit in the US but 18 year olds are allowed to buy guns.
