    Hi guys!
For todays video I wanted to share with you a little bit of my day to day and what it looked like in my first semester. Since I spend most of my days at home attending online classes or writing essays, there is not much going on so I didn't want to do "a week in my life" nor did I want to bore you to death...
My schedule is almost 90% up to me so I am responsible to handle and organise it as best as possible, it's fun, yet, exhausting. I decided to combine a few days from the last month of my semester to show you what my fun days typically looked like.
November was a hell of a month with little time for anything else but I was blessed to be surrounded by amazing ladies that keep me sane.

      Awnnn 😍😍!
I'm glad you are already thinking about universities at year 8. I should probably have done that too to be honest 😅
I think you should definitely aim for EOU, and in general for a university that you like and makes you feel welcomed 😊!
I hope you also find some other universities to be just as interesting in case the course you want to do is actually better in another uni and you don't get discouraged by it.

Swaniii💞💞 warms my heart to hear this, thank you!! It's such a beautiful city. Due to lock down I can't make much content but I have another video on my channel where I go around town like a tourist!
Best of luck for your application, I would say to really work on your essay and show the skills you have from all your previous experiences, how they can help you in this master and how this master can help you after graduating in order to get a job. You have to show them you know more or less why this master is important for your future and the importance of the degree. If you have any doubts or issues just reach out to the master application office and ask them questions, its also a nice way to show your motivation.
I really like the courses and the teachers. But then again, it's COVID and I'm taking online classes .... I can't really get the full experience nor fully capture the good and bad of campus life. But I'm very sad to be missing out, it's a great uni with so much to do and so many associations. Shame really, I hope you get the full experience 🤞✨

      Hi Kristina!
      I'm glad, thank you :).
Ive been living in a half empty building but I can't deny that when the building was a bit more crowded in October it was a bit annoying. I don't think it's that quiet, sound isolation is relatively weak inside and outside the building.

      Hiyaaa,
You do get access to research papers and book platforms as a student.
Our professors didn't base the course material on Uni books (alone) since Sustainability is an ever expanding and changing topic. There was never the need to buy any books but it might vary from one degree to the next.

Unfortunately, because of the current situation we don't really go on campus but most buildings seem decent (I particularly think the business school is really nice on the inside) +I happen to love the area!
The building you mentioned is right next to the Meadows and if you get a view on the park it will probably be amazing, unfortunately I can't speak on how the building looks on the inside :$...

Hi! I’m applying to study a Masters at Edinburgh, and was wondering what advice you would have about accommodation. Would you recommend going into halls as a postgrad or looking for private accommodation in the city? If halls, which ones would you recommend? Thanks so much in advance! Xx

    • @Moemaguerra
      @Moemaguerra  Před 3 lety +3

      Hello Bethany,
I get this question so often and my answer is so simple. I would recommend a student accommodation, as a master student you might not have that much time to socialize and it is a simpler and faster way to meet people and meet friends of friends and just generally, network with people. It also takes away much of the stress of looking for a private accomodation and dealing with any issues that might arise. However, if you want a very specific experience in the city center in a specific area with certain friends or pets than you have to take a private accomodation.
I only lived in New Park and the only thing I did not like is sound isolation and WiFi who wasn't the best at streaming Disney+ (very WiFi intensive but still) (and yes, it is part of my priories in life😂). Overall, loved the place!
I visited O'Shea and personally just wasn't my cup of tea aesthetic wise + shared bathrooms is a no (I know you can have in-suites but the places I visited were just shared).
I tend to go for looks and then compare prices and in that spirit I think Silk Mill, Vita students, New Park, IQ Grove, Brewer's Court and Potterrow seem nice on paper and there are many more out there. I currently partnered up with Amber students who has a list of student accommodations maybe you can find something you like (those I mentioned too): amberstudent.com/places/search/edinburgh-1811029850773
I'm also making a video about my experience at the uni so I hope it will help with any other questions you have.
Good luck with everything, I really hope this helps!

♥️♥️♥️ I'm so glad thank you!!
      That's awesome ☺️
I think it's important to focus on your motivation letter/essay and really show why this master is something you need for your future and how it will help you reach your goals.
You need to show transferable skills, how your past experiences work/academic (it's okay with you have little to no work experience) will help you on this master, you can also link it to your job goals. If you have any doubts reach out the the administration team tend to be quite helpful so don't be shy to email them + it shows your interest the program.
