The last State of Origin game | Victoria v South Australia Highlights, 1999 | On This Day | AFL

As it stands, Victoria v South Australia was the final game of State of Origin football 20 years ago today on May 29, 1999. There was an exception in 2008, when a Victoria v Dream Team game occurred in honour of the 150th anniversary of football. However, that was a tribute match in an exhibition format.

WA vs TAS at Optus stadium
Game 3
TAS vs WA at UTAS Stadium
Game 1 matches played at the start of season-before round 1 or preseason
Game 2 Middle of season-round 14
Game 3 around round 20
And a state of origin final on Finals bye

Interestingly SA, WA & Vic are on the same amount of wins in SOO.
I so love it when SA or WA beat Victoria. I miss SOO, it was an AFL instigation.
