Earlier this year, after 18 years of reading tarot without reversals and never feeling the need to use them, I suddenly felt drawn to read with reversals and soon after came across this deck. I really love it. It’s gorgeous, very well produced and is has some diversity in the images. The key words are great for beginners or those who may like to have some additional prompts. I like how the keywords don’t detract from the art or the aesthetic of the deck. The improvements from the first edition were very well done. I really highly recommend it. It’s a great reader too.

The card stock quality looks exquisite as well (gold + linen finish = 🤤). Thanks for your detailed walkthrough and for introducing me to this deck :)
I was so enchanted when I saw it last year. I have it and I feel the same way about it as you do. I think it is just lovely and well done. It is totally not my aesthetic at all and the "beginners" thing was a caution for me, but I am super glad I picked it up. I personally think it would be a great deck for a beginner. I'm just so impressed with how well this is done. I make no bones about not being a strict RWS fan, but I really like this deck.
I do like the concept of this deck, it's linen finish, with matte gilding. Looks very well produced, buuuuut the colour palette is a bit too gentle for me to be able to work with it. I appreciate the idea behind this execution, and the deck looks really pretty, but I'm in a phase of my life where I need more colour. Loved the video, Lisa :)
A very thoughtfully put together deck! Love the gold foiling and the images are beautiful. I also like that the keywords don't stand out and are subtle. Keywords that are too glaring put me off because I don't always agree with said keywords, so they're harder to ignore. Linen is my favorite cardstock for tarot... I wish all my decks were linen lol. The only thing I don't really care for (personally) is the tannish colour of the backs/borders/box. I'm just not a fan of that particular colour. In my head, I feel like a dark teal colour would be a better option. But that's just personal aesthetics. Oh, I also agree about the box opening. I wish it laid down all the way instead of being glued on the side. Nice deck!

Based on your video review, I committed to buying the St. Soleil beginner tarot deck! I’m so excited for when it’ll arrive, and I feel like having a more experienced tarot reader’s positive opinion helped make me feel more confident that this is a greater starter deck!
Darn, that deck looks like it has things to teach me. I am blown away by the guidebook here. I’m not a beginner, but still, there’s so much in there! I initially wasn’t drawn to the artwork, but it grew on me over the course of the video. I can see myself not just buying myself a copy, but keeping one in reserve for impromptu gift-giving. Um, until I saw the price on it, anyway.
This is a deck I would have fallen in love with a year ago. I can't justify another rws clone. But wow. Im impressed. I love the color pallet and the mature feel. I was all about authentic old feelings tarot cards.

What a gorgeous deck .. I am so happy for you because you were torn wanting this deck! However, it’s not for me. I don’t read reversals and I am not drawn to .. I also don’t feel drawn to this deck. It’s not my style .. and it torture me because I felt the same about the star and moon child tarot or Osho-zen .. some decks just don’t speak to me .. I hope you have lots of fun playing with these cards.
So I actually got this deck and it is GORGEOUS. But I couldn’t read it because I have bad eyesight and the details were sooo fine and the keywords too small for my eyes :( but it’s absolutely gorgeous!
This is the moonchild but amazing for beginners. I have their Child of the Universe oracle deck and I love it so much i wpuld say that if i could only have one deck, i would choose this one. OK, edit after seeing the Page of Swords which is actually an image of Goddess Diana as the Huntress. I'm sold on this one. 😍
Just ordered this deck on the back of your review. Can’t wait for it to arrive! I do have another beginner-friendly keyword deck, but this one seems to have more keywords and like you mentioned the words seem a bit more everyday, which is something I’m struggling with slightly with my other deck.
@@fosterc216 I live in the UK, ordered it from L.A (US) - and it took around 5 days. That being said there is a bit of a delay because their moving studios. But their website gives all the timings and shipment dates. It’s a beautiful deck I highly recommend it!

I just realized one of my favorite oracles, Child of the Universe (Gold Edition) is by StSoilel, so I can vouche for the production quality. Makes me want to buy this deck even though I don't normally like keywords on tarot decks, just because I love their oracle deck so much 😆 Edit (I wrote my comment early on in the video lol): I think the name of the art style you were looking for is "baroque".
This one is definitely on my wish list. However, I did notice that some of the astrological correspondences for the decans in the minor arcana ( I cant remember which cards exactly) switch suddenly from using the Chaldean system(which is what the tarot generally uses) to the triplicity system(which is what astrologers use). Definitely don't think it was intentional, my guess is that the creator simply Googled the correspondences because Google Answers does give the "wrong" answer for the same cards. So if you are wanting to use this deck to learn tarot astrology, that's something to be aware of.
Oh!!! Thank you for pointing that out... I don't think that I would have spotted that, considering I am very much an ubernoob when it comes to astrology and while I've taken a couple workshops that covered the decan associations, I've not memorized them AT ALL.
I appreciate this comment. I was about to look into this deck specifically for studing the astrological associations. That would have been a big disappointment.
@@Lisa_Papez I just watched your walk through again and compared it to the Chaldean correspondences to make sure I wasnt giving you bad info as it's been awhile and my memory isn't the greatest. After rechecking it, the 10 of Swords is the only card I could find with the wrong glyph. It says Mercury in Gemini when it should say the Sun in Gemini. The other card I thought was wrong was the 2 of Swords but I see now she put the correct glyphs, she just ordered them differently from the rest of the cards. So it's really only one card that has the wrong info, the 10 of Swords.
@@skyandthreadtarot8365 I just double checked and it's actually only one card that has that error. The 10 of Swords says Mercury in Gemini when it should say the Sun in Gemini.
It's so funny! I received this deck in the mail yesterday! :D my deck did not come in its own pouch though.... I too was really happy about the production quality and the keywords. And the artwork is very pretty, but I do feel that I would have wanted to see at least a couple of older women with varying body sizes included in the deck. There are several older men in the deck but no older women and that bugs me.
I’m a beginner. I just started about six months ago. I love how deep this is. It’s interesting enough that it catches my attention and also allows for my own voice. I love that it has more then just the tarot typically and adds numerology and planets because that’s also something I’m in to. Definitely picking this up. While I don’t have these I’d love to see a comparison between this is and the stardust tarot by TerraSoleilCo.
I was definitely tempted until I saw the price. Way too expensive! It is quite beautiful, and if I were tempted to buy a deck with keywords, this would be the one. But, I'm not paying that price. Thanks for showing it!

I went to the website, and there is only a pre-order option for the 4th edition of this deck. I was wondering which edition you reviewed in your video? It sounds like the guidebook is smaller and now fits in the box with the cards.

I'm a beginner and I love this it tells you everything you want to learn. The only problem I'm seeing is the pentacles as coins so far.
Just ordered this deck on the back of your review. Can’t wait for it to arrive! I do have another beginner-friendly keyword deck, but this one seems to have more keywords and like you mentioned the words seem a bit more everyday, which is something I’m struggling with slightly with my other deck.

@@fosterc216 I live in the UK, ordered it from L.A (US) - and it took around 5 days. That being said there is a bit of a delay because their moving studios. But their website gives all the timings and shipment dates. It’s a beautiful deck I highly recommend it!

I just realized one of my favorite oracles, Child of the Universe (Gold Edition) is by StSoilel, so I can vouche for the production quality. Makes me want to buy this deck even though I don't normally like keywords on tarot decks, just because I love their oracle deck so much 😆

This one is definitely on my wish list. However, I did notice that some of the astrological correspondences for the decans in the minor arcana ( I cant remember which cards exactly) switch suddenly from using the Chaldean system(which is what the tarot generally uses) to the triplicity system(which is what astrologers use). Definitely don't think it was intentional, my guess is that the creator simply Googled the correspondences because Google Answers does give the "wrong" answer for the same cards. So if you are wanting to use this deck to learn tarot astrology, that's something to be aware of.
Oh!!! Thank you for pointing that out... I don't think that I would have spotted that, considering I am very much an ubernoob when it comes to astrology and while I've taken a couple workshops that covered the decan associations, I've not memorized them AT ALL.
I appreciate this comment. I was about to look into this deck specifically for studing the astrological associations. That would have been a big disappointment.
@@Lisa_Papez I just watched your walk through again and compared it to the Chaldean correspondences to make sure I wasnt giving you bad info as it's been awhile and my memory isn't the greatest. After rechecking it, the 10 of Swords is the only card I could find with the wrong glyph. It says Mercury in Gemini when it should say the Sun in Gemini. The other card I thought was wrong was the 2 of Swords but I see now she put the correct glyphs, she just ordered them differently from the rest of the cards. So it's really only one card that has the wrong info, the 10 of Swords.

It's so funny! I received this deck in the mail yesterday! :D my deck did not come in its own pouch though....
I too was really happy about the production quality and the keywords. And the artwork is very pretty, but I do feel that I would have wanted to see at least a couple of older women with varying body sizes included in the deck. There are several older men in the deck but no older women and that bugs me.

I’m a beginner. I just started about six months ago. I love how deep this is. It’s interesting enough that it catches my attention and also allows for my own voice. I love that it has more then just the tarot typically and adds numerology and planets because that’s also something I’m in to. Definitely picking this up.
While I don’t have these I’d love to see a comparison between this is and the stardust tarot by TerraSoleilCo.

I was definitely tempted until I saw the price. Way too expensive! It is quite beautiful, and if I were tempted to buy a deck with keywords, this would be the one. But, I'm not paying that price. Thanks for showing it!
