Can I just say how godlike Beat played this invasion? He fought 3v1 or 2v1 for a grand majority of the video and not only didn't die, but managed to get some phantoms killed (hence Peeve getting back Estus). Meanwhile, Peeb is over here getting wrekt by BK UGS R1 spam 1v1. Beat is like that bro in an anime who's incredibly capable, useful, friendly, and just can't die. Meanwhile our protagonist Peeb is too busy fighting his inner demons of Style and Fashion to fight effectively.
Like, seriously. Peeve even loses track of the host and takes the elevator. After it goes up and the host is nowhere in sight, guess who's still there to back Peeve up through thick and thin? Fuckin' Beat. Beat managed to escape from the host and his phantoms AND reach the elevator AFTER Peeve already pulled the lever. Then he just walks up the staircase to Peeve all like, "Hey buddy, did ya miss me? No matter what, I got your back, bro." He defies all rational expectations of an allied invader like it's a fuckin' season finale. But wait, Peeb isn't completely helpless! He can full L1 combo one of the big bad host's lone phantoms to death, finishing him off right as Beat arrives. Having again proven himself as the one true Edgelord, Peeb and his faithful companion Beat rush together back to the fray, to defeat the cruel tyrant host once and for all. Smh.
Occasional coop now turns into pile-up fight club in a few minutes when someone invades you? Well, atleast there are some REALLY good mechanics in Souls game around.
That was a pretty amazing conclusion. I haven't actually been in the Dark Souls scene since the first one (I was noone important) but I always felt that even though the game had summonings and multiple invasions, it lacked teamwork. Glad to see it exists in SOME kinda form.
Watching videos like this makes me so incredibly excited for the game on the 12th, I absolutely cannot wait. +Peeve Peeverson didn't you say that you would be playing on the XBone version of the game though? I would really like a chance to finally fight the guy who got me into PvP from DkS1.
more like bloodborne movement physics for enemies and bosses, Dark Souls 1 hud and hud characteristics, Dark souls 2 pvp with different characteristics like estus return and multi invasion, and a general mood of the enviroment in tones and shades like demon souls. also like in demon souls they will have NPC's walk around and help you fight like Biorr of the Twin Fangs.

How are you breaking their UG weapon attack animation? I have Chaos Blade maxed at 450 +/- and I can hit some of these guys 2/3 times right before and during their attack animation and nothing can stop it; Its basically a large invincibility frame for them, and I always get hit by their swing.
I had a guy like that Aldritch invader whose name was "No Estus Chump" and the entire time all he did was try to kill me and the other invaders when we were trying to kill an actual gank squad (weren't trying to progress, camped in one area and 3v1'd every invader in the game)

Just put red sign on the ground and people looking for a 1vs1 will eventually summon you :P

They can be staggered on the startup, but once the swing starts, it's impossible to stop it.
