Spinnaker On a Catamaran

We anticipated our South Atlantic crossing to be in mostly light downwind conditions, so we ordered a spinnaker while still in South Africa. We had no experience with a spinnaker whatsoever, and in this video we set it up, deploy it and go through some trial and error.

Looks like you are leading both tack and clew to the forward hulls. We lead the clew on a long line back to the stern thru a block and back to one of our primary winches.

That's right, we started with both tack and clew to the forward, and then discovered it was a lot easier and safer to switch to the setup you described - long line through a block and to the winch in the cockpit.
