So i upgraded from 7 to 11 and is asking to activate but no product key. So now i read that i needed to upgrade to 10 first then 11 to retain key. So what do i do now, can i roll it back to 10 then back to 11 or what are my options.

WARNING!!! If you do this method, you will not get to use your windows 7 product key! You need to upgrade from 7 to 10 to 11 to retain your key. This caused a 3 day mess for me!
And how to retain produxt key?
@@YT_momowhen upgrade to Windows 10 using official windows upgrading application, product key will carry on automatically to Windows 10
And then same will happen when you upgrade from 10 to 11
Due to technical limitations Windows 7 will not be able to carry out product key straight to windows 11 because it's a outdated software

After going to windows 11 setup file it says that the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check weather you need x86(33-bit) of x64(63-bit) what should I do next?please help me out

If we choose not to keep files and click on nothing, only C drive will be deletes or all drive will be deleted
so basically, if you upgrade from 7 to 10 you get the option of keeping your' files and programmes'.........but win 7 to 11 you DONT get to keep your 'programmes'. only data. got it, thanks a lot.

This looks simpler then from win 7 to win 10. Great info thanks but my computer has a conventional HD not an SSD. Would it be recommended to clone my hard drive to an SSD and then upgrade to 11? I have a pretty old desktop win 7 64 bit 8gb ram 1tb HD but all of my data etc on it and Chrome is now asking me to update as they will o longer support 7. Also do you need to update drivers manually etc for win 11 for printers etc and will some older programmes no longer work. Thanks great info.
