This song is beautiful as long as we realize that God sees us as perfect only when seen through the blood sacrifice of Jesus. It is Christ's righteousness that makes us righteous in God's eyes. And that is applied to us through faith in Him. Outside of Him, we are rebel creations fully deserving of His wrath and judgement. God's love provided a way (the way) back in right standing with Him through Jesus.
This song is to, and for the Christian and "He loves us as we are; no matter who we are." when we accept his sacrifice; Jesus. We must be careful how we cut snippets together so we don't send the wrong message. Sin (the fall of man) changed God's view of His creation and cause the need of the blood sacrifice. This gospel isn't just taking it "a step further", it is the whole reason we can be viewed as "Perfection". Again, the song is beautiful. I love it. 👍
